Back in Contention.

One night after a historic and unforgettable SummerSlam, the 1213th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the site of SummerSlam at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. SummerSlam was the site of one of the most disturbing and vicious assaults in recent memory as, what started out as a highly anticipated match between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton turned into a massacre in the ring as, after “The Beast” tossed Orton from pillar to post with suplexes and destroyed the SmackDown Live announce table by hurling “The Viper” into it, something would snap inside Lesnar as Brock would remove his gloves before bludgeoning Randy Orton with heavy-handed blows to the skull but not before delivering two unprotected elbow shots to Orton’s head, splitting Orton’s head wide open and leaving “The Viper” knocked out in the center of the ring in a pool of his own blood. The match would ultimately be awarded to Brock via Technical Knock Out but “The Beast” would refuse to let up, continuing to come back and hammer the bloody and defenseless Orton. This would lead to SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon coming out to the ring to check on Orton, but Shane would find himself right in the path of “The Beast” as Brock Lesnar would put his hands on the man in charge of SmackDown Live, leaving Shane laid out with the F-5! Also at SummerSlam, Finn Balor would make history as “The Demon King” would defeat Seth Rollins to become the first ever WWE Universal Champion. However, with WWE.com reporting that Finn Balor suffered a shoulder injury during the match at SummerSlam, what will be the status of Finn Balor and the WWE Universal Championship?
