WWE Spoilers: Three new matches announced for Battleground

The fourth annual WWE Battleground will come to you, live on the WWE Network, a week from this Sunday night on July 24 from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. As announced on last night’s RAW, twelve-time former World Champion and Brock Lesnar’s opponent at SummerSlam, Randy Orton, will make his first live appearance at Battleground since his shoulder injury back in November as “The Viper” will be a guest on Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel. It was also announced on RAW that The Miz will defend the Intercontinental Championship at the event. WWE.com also announced that the United States Title will be defended at Battleground as well as a 6-Man Tag pitting The New Day against The Wyatt Family. Here is the updated card:

  • WWE Championship: Triple Threat Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns
  • 6-Man Tag: John Cena, Enzo Amore, & Big Cass vs. The Club
  • Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
  • The Highlight Reel with Guest Randy Orton
  • 6-Man Tag: The New Day vs. The Wyatt Family
  • Intercontinental Championship: The Miz (c) (with Maryse) vs. Darren Young (with Bob Backlund)
  • United States Championship: Rusev (c) (with Lana) vs. Zack Ryder
  • Becky Lynch vs. Natalya
