    Detailed Results

Nine nights before he is locked inside Hell in a Cell with Dean Ambrose at WWE Hell in a Cell, SmackDown kicks off with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins. Rollins says that “honor” doesn’t pay the bills and, if the fans had any guts, they would sell out anybody in their life given the opportunity and they would sell their “soul” to be anything like him. Rollins continues, saying that they will never be like him and they will never be “successful” like him before saying that “selling out” is the best thing you could ever do in your life. Rollins then says that he is the “future” of WWE before turning his attention to Dean Ambrose, saying that Ambrose does not belong inside Hell in a Cell, he belongs in a straightjacket, vowing that Ambrose will be “carried out” of Hell in a Cell. Rollins continues, saying that, after WWE Hell in a Cell, Dean Ambrose will be nothing more than a “hot, sweaty, smelly mess” and he will put Ambrose out. Before facing Seth Rollins in the opening match of the night, Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler comes out to confront “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”. Ziggler tells Rollins that, when you sell out, you get the money and you get the fame, but there is one thing that Rollins cannot get and that is “respect”. Rollins scoffs at the Intercontinental Champion, saying that “respect” did not protect Dolph from a Curb Stomp on RAW and “respect” is not going to protect Ziggler from a beating tonight.

After taking a Curb Stomp from Seth Rollins following his match against Randy Orton on RAW, Dolph Ziggler would be looking for payback as the Intercontinental Champion would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins in a non-title match. At the end of a hotly-contested match, it was Seth Rollins hitting the Curb Stomp on Dolph Ziggler, pinning the Intercontinental Champion for the win. After the match, Dean Ambrose would make his way to the ring and Seth Rollins would quickly escape and, after some threats about what he is going to do to Rollins inside Hell in a Cell, The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane comes out. Kane says that it’s true that Ambrose will get Rollins inside Hell in a Cell, but tonight, “The Lunatic Fringe” will go one-on-one with the Director of Operations himself!

With Paige a guest on commentary with Alicia Fox by Paige’s side, Divas Champion AJ Lee would go one-on-one with Layla in a non-title match on SmackDown. In the end, it was AJ Lee locking in the Black Widow in Layla, making Layla tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Alicia Fox would try to attack AJ Lee, but the Divas Champion would battle back before Paige enters the ring, attacking AJ Lee and planting AJ with the Ram Paige. Paige would then grab the Divas Title belt as Paige & Alicia Fox skip around AJ Lee in the middle of the ring.

Before he defends the United States Title against The Miz at WWE Hell in a Cell, United States Champion Sheamus would team up with The Usos to face the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” The Miz, with Damien Mizdow in his corner, and WWE Tag Team Champions Gold & Stardust in a 6-Man Tag Match. In the end, it was Sheamus hitting the Brogue Kick on Goldust, pinning one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions to pick up the win for himself and The Usos.

With a rematch against Rusev coming up at WWE Hell in a Cell, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show would make an appearance on SmackDown to address the upcoming match. Big Show says that he absolutely accepts the “responsibility” of being the first man to pin Rusev, which he will do at WWE Hell in a Cell. Big Show says that, this past Monday on RAW, Mark Henry got a little “emotional” and ended up costing him his match against Rusev by disqualification. Big Show then asks Mark Henry to come out to the ring and “The World’s Strongest Man” complies, joining his friend in the ring. The two good friends reminisce about a funny travel story before Big Show tells Mark Henry that he gave Henry his space when he wanted to fight Rusev on his own and, now, he needs the same consideration from Mark Henry. Big Show says that he “needs” to pin Rusev in the middle of the ring and that is what he’s going to do at WWE Hell in a Cell.

Mark Henry says that he had his shot against Rusev, telling Big Show that Rusev is “not human” and it’s a hard pill to swallow having to listen to Big Show talk about doing something that he was unable to do. Henry continues, saying that it might make him a little angry, but if Big Show wants him to get out of his business, then he will get out of his business. The two friends then hug before the amicable moment is broken up by the arrival of Rusev & Lana. Lana calls Big Show & Mark Henry the “Goodyear blimps” of WWE, saying they are “full of gas and very slow”. Rusev then takes the microphone, saying that, after he beats Big Show, the fans will turn on him just like they did Mark Henry. Rusev then says that he is going to “crush” Big Show and the angry giant shouts back at Rusev, saying that his back will not break because it’s “American made” before saying that he is going to knock Rusev’s glass jaw off of his face and he is going to pin Rusev at WWE Hell in a Cell!

Before she faces her sister, Brie, at WWE Hell in a Cell with the unique stipulation that the loser must become the winner’s personal assistant for one month, Nikki Bella would go one-on-one with Naomi on SmackDown. In the end, it was Nikki Bella hitting the Rack Attack on Naomi, pinning Naomi for the win.

Then it was time for the main event as, nine nights before he faces Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell, “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose would face The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane, with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins in his corner. During the match, Dean Ambrose would knock Seth Rollins off of the ring apron and, moments later, Rollins would attack Ambrose, ending the match by disqualification. After the match, Kane would hand a steel chair to Seth Rollins and Rollins would attempt to hit the Curb Stomp on Ambrose on the chair, but Ambrose would counter, knocking Kane off of the ring apron before cornering “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” with chair in hand. Before Ambrose could use the weapon, Kane makes the save, allowing Rollins to escape as Ambrose uses the chair to fend off Kane, jabbing the Director of Operations in the mid-section with a chair and following it up with two more chair shots, forcing Kane to roll out of the ring. Ambrose then stands on top of the chair, not taking his eyes off of his WWE Hell in a Cell opponent, eagerly anticipating their trip to hell.
