WWE Main Event Becomes Exclusive to the WWE Network

The Wrestling-Online Newsletter is reporting that WWE’s contract with iON Television to air WWE Main Event on their network has expired, which appears to be WWE’s plan along. After the launch of the WWE Network in February, WWE began airing a “live” (in reality, the show airs on tape delay) presentation of WWE Main Event on Tuesday night, then airing the encore presentation of the show on iON Television on Wednesday nights. This brings an end to the year and a half relationship between WWE and iON Television with Main Event being resurrected with the intent of airing it on iON Television. The last episode of WWE Main Event to air on iON Television was the April 2 edition of the show.
