The 77th edition of WWE Main Event came to you, live, from the TD Garden in Boston, MA. With the original #1 Contender, Christian, unable to compete due to a concussion he suffered on RAW, a Triple Threat Match would take place between “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, & Dolph Ziggler to determine who will replace Christian in the Intercontinental Title match against Big E later in the evening.

Match Results

  • #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match: Dolph Ziggler def. Sheamus & Alberto Del Rio by pinning Alberto Del Rio following the Zig Zag to become the new #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title.
  • 10-Diva Tag: Summer Rae, Layla, Aksana, Alicia Fox, & Tamina Snuka def. Naomi, Cameron, Natalya, Emma, & Eva Marie by Tamina Snuka pinning Naomi following a super kick.
  • Intercontinental Championship: Big E (c) def. Dolph Ziggler by pin following the Big Ending to retain.
