    Wwe Kane 2013 2

    Kane’s loading dock of destruction.

The 973rd edition of WWE Monday Night RAW was a RAW SuperShow and it came to you, live, from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, TX. One week after the “second day of 2012” brought the return to the WWE of the first Undisputed WWE Champion in history, “Y2J” Chris Jericho, what does the six-time World Champion have in store for Monday Night RAW? Also, after nearly pulling Zack Ryder down to hell with Ryder narrowly being saved by John Cena, what will “The Big Red Monster” Kane do in his continuing reign of terror against John Cena? Also, after questioning Daniel Bryan’s successful title defense against Big Show on Friday’s SmackDown in a WWE.com exclusive video, Kofi Kingston was challenged to a match by Daniel Bryan himself as World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan will go one-on-one with WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston on RAW.

    Match Results

    • Sheamus & Santino Marella def. Wade Barrett & Jinder Mahal by Santino Marella pinning Jinder Mahal following the Cobra Strike.
    • Champion vs. Champion: Daniel Bryan def. Kofi Kingston by submission to the LeBell Lock.
    • Brodus Clay (in his RAW debut) def. Curt Hawkins by pin following a flying cross body.
    • Non-Title: CM Punk def. Jack Swagger by pin following the elbow drop off of the top rope. As a result, Jack Swagger & Vickie Guerrero will be banned from ringside for the WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble.
    • John Cena and Dolph Ziggler fight to a No Contest after John Cena abandons the match to check on Zack Ryder.

    Detailed Results

After nearly dragging Zack Ryder through the mat to hell last week, the show kicks off with “The Big Red Monster” Kane. Kane says that the fans are not only predictable, but are in “denial” because they wake up next to a spouse they cannot stand, go to a job they hate, and go home to children that they say they love, but are nothing but “disappointments”. Kane continues that the fans live lives filled with “pure hate” and they fill their lives with “delusions”, just like John Cena. Kane says that Cena represents “hope” and “success” and all the things that the fans hope to achieve, but cannot and, when they see Cena, they should be reminded of their own failures. Kane continues that, when the fans say “Cena sucks”, they are really saying that they suck, adding that the fans are all “liars”. Kane then says that the fans cheer for underdogs because it makes them “good and decent” before bringing up Zack Ryder, saying that the fans made him a star, but that proves “nothing”. Kane says that, by saving Ryder last week, Cena is only “delaying the inevitable” and he wants “consequences”.

Before Kane can continue, he is interrupted by John Cena, who wastes no time in running to the ring and brawling with Kane. The brawl between Cena and Kane quickly exits the ring and spills out through the crowd and into the backstage area. Kane then takes advantage of the fight, smashing Cena’s skull into doors and walls before the brawl resumes in the arena’s loading dock. After Kane throws Cena into some steel pipes, Cena finds a tire iron, using it on the knee of Kane, but Kane catches Cena with an uppercut, sending Cena into a pile of boxes. When Cena gets back to his feet, Kane is nowhere to be found!

Sheamus was in tag team action on RAW as “The Great White” teams with the new Assistant to the SmackDown General Manager, Santino Marella, to face the team of Wade Barrett & Jinder Mahal. In the end, it was Santino Marella hitting Jinder Mahal with the Cobra Strike en route to Santino picking up the win for himself and Sheamus.

The RAW SuperShow featured the announcement of the first inductee into the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame as, on March 31 in Miami, the Hall of Fame will become rated “R” as eleven-time World Champion “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge will have his legendary and groundbreaking career immortalized the night before WrestleMania!

After questioning Daniel Bryan’s disqualification win over Big Show to successfully retain the World Heavyweight Title on SmackDown in a WWE.com exclusive video, WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston went one-on-one with World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan in a Champion vs. Champion match. In the end, it was Daniel Bryan locking in the LeBell Lock on Kofi Kingston, forcing the WWE Tag Team Champion to tap out to pick up the win.

After the match, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show makes his way to the ring to confront the World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan. Before Big Show can speak, Daniel Bryan says that he hated how the title match ended and offers to give Big Show a rematch for the title. Big Show says that he is glad that Daniel Bryan feels that way because SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long feels the same way and, this Friday on SmackDown, Big Show will challenge Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship and, this time, there will be no disqualifications and no count-outs! In a match with no disqualifications and no count-outs, can Daniel Bryan survive Big Show and retain the World Heavyweight Title?

After months of having his RAW debut postponed by Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis, RAW Ring Announcer Justin Roberts introduces the monster who hails from the “Planet Funk” and is known as “The Funkosaurus”. Brodus Clay then makes his official and unusual debut, complete with dancing and backup dancers. Brodus Clay then went one-on-one with Curt Hawkins and, with plenty of gyrations and flamboyance, Brodus hits a flying cross body on Hawkins en route to picking up the win.

Three weeks before he defends the WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler with John Laurinaitis as the Special Referee at the Royal Rumble, WWE Champion CM Punk went one-on-one with “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, with Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero in his corner. Before the match can begin, Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis comes out to announce that, if CM Punk defeats Jack Swagger, then Swagger and Vickie Guerrero will be banned from ringside for the title match at the Royal Rumble. The GM also announces that Dolph Ziggler will go one-on-one at John Cena later on in the night.

Following his announcements, John Laurinaitis remained at ringside as WWE Champion CM Punk went one-on-one with Jack Swagger, with Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero in his corner. In the end, it was CM Punk hitting the elbow drop off of the top rope and, despite Jack Swagger kicking out before the three, the referee counts to three for Punk to pick up the win and ensuring that Swagger and Vickie Guerrero will be banned from ringside for the WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble.

Backstage, Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez is talking with The Bella Twins about a special message from The Bella Twins for Del Rio, but The Miz interrupts and manages to recruit Rodriguez to call R-Truth out so The Miz can attack R-Truth from behind and, with the threat of being put on the shelf, Rodriguez agrees.

After the earlier announcement that Edge will be inducted into the 2012 Hall of Fame, it was announced on RAW that the legendary Four Horseman will be inducted in Miami as “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and J.J. Dillon will join 2008 inductee “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair in the honored home of legends.

After being bullied into helping out The Miz, Ricardo Rodriguez nervously insults R-Truth’s breath and Truth’s mother in an effort to draw R-Truth out. Much to Ricardo’s dismay, R-Truth then makes his way to the ring. Truth tells Ricardo that he is not a “bad man” because he is a “good R-Truth”, adding that “little Jimmy” wants Truth to turn Ricardo into a “piñata”. R-Truth then asks Ricardo to sing him and “little Jimmy” a song, asking the personal ring announcer to sing “La Cucaracha”. After a passionate rendition of the song, Rodriguez inadvertently knocks the microphone out of R-Truth’s hand and Truth responds by hitting the Shut Up on Ricardo. The Miz then emerges from under the ring, attacking R-Truth, but Truth fights back before Miz scrambles out of the ring and through the crowd.

After last week’s explosive reception for his return left him speechless, the first Undisputed WWE Champion in history, “Y2J” Chris Jericho appeared on RAW. After greeting the fans around the ring, Chris Jericho grabs a microphone, but is clearly overwhelmed by the reaction he is receiving as the six-time World Champion sobs uncontrollably before dropping the microphone in the ring and making his exit, again having said nothing!

Eve is set to go one-on-one with Divas Champion Beth Phoenix on RAW, but instead of Beth Phoenix coming out, the music of Kane plays, immediately leaving Eve in a frightened state. Zack Ryder then rushes out to rescue Eve as the two of them hastily flee the arena, but Ryder is forced to deal with a flat tire as the United States Champion rushes to get the job done so he and Eve can escape.

Three weeks before he challenges CM Punk for the WWE Championship with John Laurinaitis as the Special Referee and Jack Swagger & Vickie Guerrero banned from ringside at the Royal Rumble, “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler went one-on-one with John Cena. When it looks like Cena is moments away from victory, the Tron shows footage of Zack Ryder still changing the tire on his car so he and Eve can escape. However, Kane strikes, attacking the United States Champion and chokeslamming Ryder off of the loading dock onto a stack of pallets. Cena is able to break away from the match, rushing to the loading dock to assist Ryder, but Cena is ambushed by Kane, who pummels Cena before once again using his gloved hand to render Cena unconsciousness mere steps away from where an unconscious Zack Ryder is laying. What is the status of Zack Ryder following this attack? What will Kane do next in his reprehensible path of destruction aimed at John Cena and Zack Ryder?
