WWE RAW Results: June 15, 2015

    WWE Raw
    Previous Page

    Bray Wyatt 9 07042014

    Detailed Results

Before RAW officially gets underway, the show opens with exclusive footage from Money-in-the-Bank where Vince McMahon, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Seth Rollins, John Cena, Rusev, Paige, The Bella Twins, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler, The Prime Time Players, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and countless others adorn the stage as the bell is tolled ten times to pay respect to the late, great “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, which is followed by a touching video tribute commemorating the life and career of the charismatic and one-of-a-kind Dusty Rhodes.

One night after a grueling Ladder Match against Dean Ambrose at Money-in-the-Bank where he narrowly survived as champion without any help from The Authority, RAW would officially get underway with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins as the beaming champion makes his way to the ring. The champion first welcomes everyone to “Monday Night Rollins”, claiming that he is the “best thing” about RAW every week. Rollins admits that Dean Ambrose brought his “A-game” at Money-in-the-Bank, showing pictures of some of the brutality from their Ladder Match before saying that Ambrose’s A-game is not as good as his. The champion continues, saying that he made good on his promise to beat Dean Ambrose all by himself in one of the greatest Ladder Matches in WWE history and got back what was rightfully his, the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Rollins then says that he had to hold back his “emotions” last night when he thought about all of the people that helped him get to the “top of the mountain”. Rollins then says that he would like to thank the people who have helped him get to where he is today, pulling out a list of names to read off. The champion then reveals that the only name on the list is his own, saying that he wouldn’t thank J&J Security, Kane, and he wouldn’t even thank Triple H & Stephanie McMahon. Rollins says that he doesn’t need any of them because that’s how “good” he is, saying that, with his performance at Money-in-the-Bank, he might as well punch his ticket to the Hall of Fame, even going as far as to say that parents will name their children after them! The braggadocios champion then holds the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt above his head, saying that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is the only championship in Cleveland that matters.

This brings out “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose, who limps down the ramp, where he is met by Seth Rollins as the bitter rivals pick up where they left off at Money-in-the-Bank, brawling in and out of the ring. Bad leg and all, Ambrose would dive off of the announce table, taking Rollins out before the champion rolls into the ring and, when “The Lunatic Fringe” follows Rollins into the ring, Rollins makes a quick escape from the ring, retreating to the back. Ambrose then grabs a steel chair, saying that he has enjoyed making Rollins’ life a “living hell” and he doesn’t want it to end before sitting in the chair and saying that he’s not leaving the ring until Seth Rollins comes back out there and fights him!

With Dean Ambrose still sitting in the middle of the ring, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins would confront WWE COO Triple H & WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon in their office. Rollins says that RAW is his show and they make the decisions in WWE, not Ambrose. Stephanie then brings up Rollins’ comments from earlier when the champion stated again that he does not “need” The Authority. Rollins claims that he said no such thing and Triple H takes offense to this, asking if Rollins is calling Stephanie a liar. The champion then backpedals, saying that he’s not calling Stephanie a liar before saying that they just need to get Ambrose ejected from the arena and they can “move on”. Triple H then informs Rollins that, by the end of the night, they will name a new #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins asks if he is going to be a part of the decision-making process and Triple H tells the champion that they let him beat Dean Ambrose all by himself at Money-in-the-Bank, so Rollins is going to let them decide his next challenger all by themselves. The champion tries to argue, but Stephanie dismisses Seth Rollins and Rollins leaves the office.

With Dean Ambrose still refusing to leave the ring, the 2015 winner of the Money-in-the-Bank title opportunity Sheamus comes out, saying that he’s a “winner” and Ambrose is a “loser”. Sheamus then says that he became “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”, saying that he is one Brogue Kick from becoming the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion before revealing that The Authority has sent him out there to kick Ambrose’s head off of his shoulders for his own “entertainment”.

A referee then enters the ring and the match officially gets underway as “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Sheamus. Naturally, Sheamus would target the injured left knee of Dean Ambrose throughout the match, but Ambrose would continue to fight back and, when Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds, Sheamus makes a quick escape from the ring, intending to take a count-out loss. However, a certain “Viper” had some unfinished business with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” as Randy Orton comes out, distracting Sheamus long enough for Dean Ambrose to capitalize, bringing Sheamus back into the ring. Sheamus would try to catch Ambrose with the Brogue Kick, but Ambrose would counter, rolling Sheamus up to pick up the win. After the match, Randy Orton would strike, bringing Sheamus to the outside and sending “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” into the steel ring post. Back in the ring, Orton hits his suspended DDT on Sheamus before going for the RKO, but Sheamus would block the attempt, sliding out of the ring and again running away from a fight as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” collects himself on the stage.

Backstage, Seth Rollins is confronted by J&J Security as Rollins offers Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury the chance to be his security team again, asking if they have any inside information on who Triple H & Stephanie are thinking about picking for the new #1 Contender. Noble says that they haven’t heard anything and, even if they did, they wouldn’t tell Rollins. Noble then suggests that the new #1 Contender should be the man who pinned Seth Rollins last week, Joey Mercury. The champion laughs in Noble and Mercury’s face, saying that “no one” wants to see him face Joey Mercury. Mercury then accuses Rollins of being “afraid” of him, saying that, no matter what Rollins does in his career, there will always be a loss to J&J Security in the record books. Mercury continues, saying that Rollins is “vulnerable” and it’s not a matter of “if” Rollins loses the title, it’s “when”.

Sporting a cardboard crown and plunger, the self-proclaimed “King What’s Up” R-Truth would make his way to ringside as R-Truth would be a guest on commentary as 2015 King of the Ring King Barrett would be in action on RAW. However, the commentary team would inform R-Truth that he is actually King Barrett’s opponent tonight! Competing in street clothes, King Barrett would gain the early advantage in the match, but when Barrett goes for the Royal Bull Hammer, “King What’s Up” counters with a roll-up, scoring the three-count over Barrett just like he did on the Money-in-the-Bank Kickoff! However, R-Truth’s celebration was short-lived as Barrett blasts Truth with the Royal Bull Hammer. Barrett then says that he “earned” the right to be called a King and R-Truth is making a “mockery” of his accomplishment. Barrett then tells everyone “all hail King Barrett”.

Following his loss to John Cena at Money-in-the-Bank where he delivered a powerbomb to the United States Champion on the ring apron which resulted in Cena suffering lower back contusions, muscle spasms, and bruising, NXT Champion Kevin Owens would address his attack on RAW. Owens says that John Cena is not in the arena tonight, saying that Cena only has himself to blame. The NXT Champion then says that he did powerbomb Cena on the ring apron, but Cena “forced” him to do it, saying that when Cena shook his hand last night, Cena said the most “disrespectful” thing that has ever heard in his career. Owens continues, saying that Cena told him that he “belongs” in WWE and he deserves to compete in that ring. The NXT Champion says that he knows that he belongs in WWE and he’s known it since he stepped foot in the company, saying that he does not need Cena to “endorse” him. Owens then says that Cena offered a handshake to him because Cena was trying to “hog the spotlight”, saying that Cena always has to be the “hero”. Owens continues, saying that Cena “disrespected” him and he did what he had to do, saying that, despite his loss at Money-in-the-Bank, he still holds a victory over the champion and he deserves a rematch, but this time, he wants the United States Title! The NXT Champion then says that, usually, this is about the time that John Cena comes out to the ring for his U.S. Open Challenge and, since he doesn’t think Cena will be doing that tonight, he will do it instead.

Kevin Owens then issues an open challenge to anyone who wants to face him. This brings out “The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler with Lana by his side as Dolph makes his way to the ring, saying that Cleveland has “scratched and clawed” for a championship and he is not going to deny them as the Cleveland native accepts Kevin Owens’ open challenge! Lilian Garcia then begins to announce the match as an NXT Championship match, but Kevin Owens interrupts, saying that he issued an open challenge for anyone to face him, but he didn’t say anything about putting the NXT Title on the line, saying that their match will not be for the title.

After issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back, the NXT Champion was in action on RAW as Kevin Owens went one-on-one with “The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. During the match, the match would spill to the outside where Kevin Owens would toss Dolph Ziggler over the ringside barricade into the timekeeper’s area before the NXT Champion rolls back into the ring with “The Showoff” barely beating the ten-count. Later on in the match, Kevin Owens would hit the Cannonball, looking to follow it up with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Dolph would counter with the Zig Zag. However, the time it took for Dolph to go for the cover would give Owens the opportunity to kick out and, shortly after this, Owens plants Ziggler with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, pinning “The Showoff” to pick up a hard-fought win.

Backstage, Paige tries to rally the Divas to fight back against The Bella Twins, but the Divas take exception to Paige trying to forge an alliance, especially Naomi, who says that she doesn’t like The Bella Twins, but she also refuses to be bossed around by Paige. Paige then says that she has challenged The Bella Twins to a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, but she doesn’t have to go out there alone. The Bella Twins then crash the attempted rally as Nikki Bella says that she has been Divas Champion for over 200 days, stemming from her helping Stephanie McMahon win at SummerSlam last year, saying that it was not by “accident”. With the implication that they might incur the wrath of The Authority by siding with Paige, every Diva abandons Paige’s cause. Paige tells The Bella Twins that it’s “not over”, but Nikki looks around and says that it is over.

After both Superstars came up short in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, “The Viper” Randy Orton would go one-on-one with The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane on RAW. During the match, Randy Orton would have control of the match before “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Sheamus comes out with Kane sliding out of the ring. The Director of Operations would then make the announcement that the remainder of the match will be contested under No Holds Barred rules, meaning no disqualifications and no count-outs! With this new ruling, Randy Orton finds himself in a two-on-one situation and, while “The Viper” manages a brief flurry against Sheamus, Kane would get involved, catching Orton with an uppercut that would allow Sheamus to capitalize with the Brogue Kick. Kane then pins Orton to pick up the win before Kane exits the ring, leaving Sheamus to stand tall over “The Viper”.

Backstage, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins confronts Kane, saying that his success “physically pains” Kane because it reminds the Director of Operations of everything he used to be; a “champion”, a “winner”, and someone who is “feared”. Kane says that anyone can win one match, telling Rollins that, if Rollins really wants to be the “future of WWE”, he has to win match-after-match night-after-night and it takes an entire team behind him to do that. Kane then says that “no one can do it on their own”, but the champion argues that he can do it on his own, telling Kane that he has always had someone holding his hand, from The Corporation to The Authority to Paul Bearer to Kane’s brother The Undertaker. This enrages Kane as the Director of Operations grabs Rollins by his shirt, telling Rollins to never mention his family again or he will “eviscerate” Rollins. The champion does not back down, however, saying that he hopes that The Authority picks Kane as his next opponent because Kane is a “miserable human being” and he needs to be put out of his “misery”.

One night after The Miz ruined the Intercontinental Title match between Ryback and Big Show at Money-in-the-Bank, Intercontinental Champion Ryback would be a guest on commentary as “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show would go one-on-one with the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” The Miz. Early on in the match, The Miz would do everything to avoid contact with Big Show, but when “The World’s Largest Athlete” feigns a knee injury, he suckers The Miz in and takes control of the match. Shortly after this, the action would spill to the outside where Big Show would toss The Miz into Ryback! This would lead to a face-off between Ryback and Big Show on the outside while The Miz cleverly slides back into the ring, scoring a count-out victory over “The World’s Largest Athlete”. After the match, Ryback would charge at Big Show in the ring, but the giant would make a quick escape, leaving Ryback standing tall in the ring while The Miz celebrates his victory on the stage and Big Show glares at both men.

After Bray Wyatt inexplicably got involved in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, costing him the match, Roman Reigns would make an appearance on RAW to address his Battleground opponent, Bray Wyatt. Reigns says that he is “pissed off” and he’s not waiting until Battleground, calling Bray Wyatt out for a fight. However, Wyatt would appear in his smoky, dark location, saying “in the morning, two stars will rise; one speaks the truth and the other tells lies”. Roman was in no mood for riddles, however, as Reigns tells Bray to come out there, but Bray just laughs before saying that Reigns wants “answers” but he hasn’t got the “capacity”. Wyatt then says that it should have been him in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, grabbing his “destiny”. Wyatt continues, saying that Roman “stole” his opportunity, saying that he could have the “beacon of hope” that this world needs, but Roman “selfishly denied” him. Bray then says that Roman reminds him of someone he knew a long time ago, saying that, much like Roman, he was the “chosen one” and he was chosen to lead people to “paradise”. Bray continues, saying that he was “chosen” while the other one was “cast aside” and now they know that they made the “wrong choice”. Wyatt then says that none of this is a paradise, saying that he and Roman are “opposites” and, whether Reigns wants to admit it or not, they “need each other”. Wyatt then says that the “justice” that Roman once fought for needed to be sought out by anyone but Roman, saying that he will ultimately “destroy” Reigns. Bray continues, saying that he is not going to “destroy” Roman tonight because what kind of message would that send with Father’s Day right around the corner. Wyatt then looks at a picture of Roman Reigns and his daughter, eerily singing “I’m A Little Teapot” before telling Reigns to have “patience” because their “fun is just getting started”.

After again being cheated out of the Divas Championship by The Bella Twins and their Twin Magic at Money-in-the-Bank, Paige’s failed attempt to recruit any of the other Divas would result in Paige having to go it alone in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against both Brie Bella and Divas Champion Nikki Bella. During the match, Paige would move out of the way of a right hand from Brie Bella and Brie would inadvertently collide with her sister, giving Paige the opening she needs to take control of the match. Shortly after this, Paige sends Brie into Nikki, knocking the Divas Champion off of the ring apron. Paige then hits the Ram Paige on Brie, but Nikki breaks up the pinfall and, shortly after this, Nikki would hit the Rack Attack, pinning Paige to pick up the win for The Bella Twins.

After a stellar performance by RAW Guest Star, rap superstar, and avid John Cena supporter Machine Gun Kelly, NXT Champion Kevin Owens would come out, applauding MGK’s performance. MGK would then offer his hand to Kevin Owens, which appears to offend Owens, which leads to MGK shoving the NXT Champion. Then, in an unbelievably heinous act, Kevin Owens would assault the recording artist, kicking MGK in the mid-section before picking the rapper up and powerbombing MGK off of the stage to the floor! Referees then come out as referees and MGK’s entourage help MGK to the back.

One night after losing the WWE Tag Team Titles to The Prime Time Players at Money-in-the-Bank, The New Day would be looking to get back on track as all three members of The New Day would face the team of “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville and the new WWE Tag Team Champions The Prime Time Players in a 6-Man Tag Match. At the end of a wild match, it was Darren Young delivering a gut buster to the injured ribs of Kofi Kingston, followed up by Neville coming off of the top rope with the Red Arrow, pinning Kofi to pick up the win for his team.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose is throwing darts at a picture of Seth Rollins when Kane confronts Ambrose as Ambrose says that the Kane that was a World Champion is different than the Kane we see today. “The Lunatic Fringe” says that, to Kane, this is just a “job”, saying that competing is what he lives for and he will “never stop” until he gets the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, asking Kane what he lives for.

Then it was time for the big announcement as WWE COO Triple H & WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon make their way to the ring as The Authority would announce the new #1 Contender for Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Stephanie says that doing what is “best for business” is not just a catchphrase, saying that they have made the decision regarding the new #1 Contender and that decision will be “best for business”. Triple H then says that a lot of Superstars feel like they deserve a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship before saying that the new #1 Contender will not be Joey Mercury, Jamie Noble, Kane, and it will not be Dean Ambrose. Stephanie then asks who the next challenger will be, but before The Authority can make the announcement, a grinning WWE World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring as Seth Rollins joins Triple H & Stephanie in the ring, shaking their hand. Rollins says that it really doesn’t matter who they pick as his next opponent because there is “nobody on the roster” who is capable of taking the title from him because, no matter who they pick, he will beat them and “embarrass” them and he is going to make The Authority proud.

Triple H says that, since WrestleMania, Seth Rollins has proven himself and the argument could be made that Seth Rollins did not even need anybody’s help in the first place. Stephanie then says that, without The Authority, some people think that Rollins is “ripe for the picking” before saying that Rollins has tested their patience a fair amount, saying that Rollins might have a “little something left to prove”. Triple H then says that they have invested “everything” in Seth Rollins and they have had to look at their investment and ask whether their investment will truly “pay off” or is the investment going to just “suck cost”. Triple H continues, saying that, when you put coal under “immense pressure”, it either crumbles and turns to dust or it turns into the “diamond” that you always hoped it would be. Triple H then asks Rollins if he is going to “crumble” or if he is the “diamond” that they invested in before telling the champion that the “pressure is on”.

The champion’s face then quickly changes from confidence to utter fear when the man that was never pinned to lose the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania makes his return to RAW as none other than “The Beast” Brock Lesnar, with Paul Heyman in tow, makes his first appearance on RAW since being suspended the night after WrestleMania! Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman enter the ring with Heyman shaking the hands of both Triple H & Stephanie McMahon as Brock Lesnar does not take his eyes off of Seth Rollins. Filled with fear, the champion would refuse to look “The Beast” in the eye, looking to be close to vomiting. Rollins would then slowly back away from Lesnar, but Lesnar would continue to back the champion up before Seth Rollins slides out of the ring. Rollins then slowly walks around the ring, staring in disbelief at Brock Lesnar. The visibly frightened champion then backs up the ramp as Brock Lesnar stands tall in the ring as “The Beast” leaves no doubt in anyone’s mind that he intends to take back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
