    Wwe Cm Punk 0402

CM Punk squeezes a title match out of Del Rio.

The 962nd edition of WWE Monday Night RAW was a special Halloween RAW SuperShow and it came to you, live, from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA. In a unique appearance en route to their first feature film in twelve years on November 23, The Muppets would appear as the Guest Stars of RAW. After John Cena made the call to “The Great One” last week to combat The Miz & R-Truth at Survivor Series, the RAW SuperShow kicks off with the one and only “People’s Champion” The Rock as Cena’s WrestleMania XXVIII opponent will answer the Survivor Series request. After insulting Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis, potentially costing himself a WWE Title shot at Survivor Series, the Interim GM has put “The Voice of the Voiceless” CM Punk in a non-title match against World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry and, if Punk can defeat “The World’s Strongest Champion”, then Punk will receive his shot for the WWE Title against Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series. After months of verbal berating by the self-proclaimed “Voice of the WWE” Michael Cole and taking to Twitter to respond, Hall of Famer “Good Ol’ J.R.” Jim Ross will get his hands on Cole, but it will be on Cole’s terms as the RAW commentator has laid out the Michael Cole Challenge and, if J.R. defeats Cole in the mystery challenge, then Cole will quit, allowing the Hall of Famer to regain his seat at ringside as the voice of Monday Night RAW.

    Match Results

    • Non-Title: If Punk Wins, He Gets WWE Title Shot: Mark Henry def. CM Punk by DQ after Ricardo Rodriguez interferes. As a result, CM Punk does not get a WWE Title shot at Survivor Series.
    • #1 Contender’s Divas Costume Battle Royal: Eve def. Natalya, Kelly Kelly, Alicia Fox, Aksana, Rosa Mendes, A.J., Kaitlyn, Tamina, & The Bella Twins to become the #1 Contender for the Divas Title.
    • Non-Title: Wade Barrett & Cody Rhodes def. Air Boom by Wade Barrett pinning Evan Bourne following Wasteland.
    • Non-Title: Big Show def. Alberto Del Rio by pin following the W.M.D.
    • Santino Marella (with Beeker) def. Jack Swagger by roll-up.
    • Non-Title: Zack Ryder def. Dolph Ziggler (with Vickie Guerrero) by pin following the Rough Ryder Leg Lariat.
    • John Cena def. The Miz (with R-Truth) by submission to the STF.

    Detailed Results

As promised, the RAW SuperShow kicks off with the one and only “Great One” as The Rock appears, via satellite. The Rock states that he and John Cena both represent an “era” and a “generation”. Rock continues that Cena asked Rock to be his tag team partner last week and he did it “from the heart”. The Rock then gives his response, from the heart, telling Cena “hell no”! Rock continues that he would rather “slap the lips” off of Cena’s face than join Cena’s “Froot Loop Troop”. The Rock then states that the people have reached out to him and the people want The Miz & R-Truth to get their asses kicked at Survivor Series. Rock continues that he is going to give the people what they want and team with Cena to face The Miz & R-Truth at Survivor Series. The Rock then dares Awesome Truth to deal with him face-to-face. The Rock continues that, at Survivor Series, he wants John Cena to witness “The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment” in action because it is just a “taste” of what Rock will bring to WrestleMania XXVIII. The Rock then states that, when he teams with John Cena at Survivor Series, it will be a “never before, never again” arrangement. After such a lengthy absence from in-ring competition, how will The Rock fare when he teams with John Cena to face The Miz & R-Truth at Survivor Series?

Per the orders of Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis, “The Voice of the Voiceless” CM Punk went one-on-one with World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry with the stipulation that, if Punk wins, he will get his WWE Title shot against Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series. During the match, WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio comes out with his personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, as Del Rio instructs Rodriguez to attack Mark Henry. Rodriguez reluctantly does so, using his shoe to swat at the World Heavyweight Champion, but as a result, the referee has no choice but to call for the bell, granting Henry the win via disqualification, which means that CM Punk loses and does not get his WWE Title shot! After the match, an irate CM Punk dives out of the ring onto Del Rio and Rodriguez. As the WWE Champion quickly retreats, CM Punk gets ahold of Ricardo Rodriguez and tosses the personal ring announcer in to Mark Henry, who plants Rodriguez with the World’s Strongest Slam! What will CM Punk do now that Alberto Del Rio has cost him his shot at the WWE Title at Survivor Series?

After kissing RAW Guest Star Kermit The Frog, Kelly Kelly was in action as the former Divas Champion, dressed as a pirate, joins Eve, dressed as Robin, Alicia Fox the sailor, Rosa Mendes the cavewoman, Aksana as Morticia Adams, A.J. as Kitana from Mortal Kombat, Kaitlyn as Dog The Bounty Hunter, The Bella Twins as Mario & Luigi, Tamina as an Egyptian Goddess, and Natalya as the Queen of Hearts as all the costumed Divas would compete in a Divas Costume Battle Royal to determine a new #1 Contender for the Divas Title with Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, dressed as the Queen of the Ring, serving as a guest on commentary. Natalya scores the first elimination by eliminating Rosa Mendes from the match, followed by one of the Bella Twins eliminating Aksana. Tamina then eliminates A.J., followed by Kaitlyn eliminating Tamina. The Bella Twins then work together to eliminate Kaitlyn from the match before Kelly Kelly eliminates one Bella and recruits Eve to help her eliminate the other Bella. Natalya then eliminates Alicia Fox, followed shortly by Kelly Kelly before Eve catches Natalya off-guard with an elimination to become the #1 Contender for the Divas Title. After the match, Natalya & Beth Phoenix surround Eve, but Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox arrive, making the powerhouse Divas think twice about an attack.

The WWE Tag Team Champions were in action on the RAW SuperShow as Air Boom, Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston, face the team of Wade Barrett and Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes in a non-title match. In the end, it was Wade Barrett planting Evan Bourne with Wasteland en route to picking up the win for his team over the WWE Tag Team Champions. After the match, Christian rushes the ring, joining Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes in an attack on Air Boom, but Sheamus rushes out, chasing Christian and Barrett out of the ring before blasting Rhodes with the Brogue Kick.

Backstage, CM Punk confronts Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis, who informs Punk that “The Voice of the Voiceless” can still get his WWE Title shot at Survivor Series, but only if Alberto Del Rio agrees to it! How will CM Punk convince Alberto Del Rio to grant him a WWE Title shot?

The WWE Champion was in for a challenge on the RAW SuperShow as WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio went one-on-one with “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show in a non-title match. In the end, it was Big Show catching Alberto Del Rio out of nowhere with the W.M.D. en route to pinning the WWE Champion for the win.

After the match, CM Punk comes and grabs a microphone and a bottle of water before sitting next to a knocked out Alberto Del Rio. Punk then dumps the water on Del Rio’s face to wake him up before flat out telling the WWE Champion that he is going to lock him in the Anaconda Vice and he will not let go until Del Rio agrees to give him a title match. Punk does just that and it does not take long for Del Rio to deliver the results as the champion repeatedly tells Punk that he will get his WWE Title match at Survivor Series!

With The Muppets’ Animal serving as the guest timekeeper, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, with Vickie Guerrero in his corner, went one-on-one with Santino Marella. During the match, The Muppets’ Beeker hands Santino Marella a new concoction, which Santino drinks and spits in the eyes of Jack Swagger before rolling Swagger up for the win.

The United States Champion was in action on the RAW SuperShow as Dolph Ziggler, with Vickie Guerrero in his corner, went one-on-one with “The Long Island Iced Z” Zack Ryder in a non-title match. After managing to get his foot on the bottom rope to avoid defeat, Dolph Ziggler used a distraction by Vickie Guerrero, but Zack Ryder fights back, hitting the Rough Ryder Leg Lariat on Dolph en route to pinning the United States Champion.

Originally announced on WWE.com, it was also revealed during the RAW SuperShow that, following the hellacious attack with a sledgehammer on Triple H that left the COO with a fractured vertebra, Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis has made the decision to re-sign Kevin Nash to a WWE contract! Not only that, but Kevin Nash will appear on RAW next week. Now that Kevin Nash is an employee of the WWE once again, what will Nash say and what will Nash do next week?

The self-proclaimed “Voice of the WWE” Michael Cole then stands up on the announce table and states that he knows all the fans want to see him “pulverize” Jim Ross in the center of the ring, but he cannot because the Hall of Famer is not in the arena. Cole then claims that his “sources” have informed him that J.R. saw his doctor over the weekend and he is suffering from I.B.D., Irritable Bowel Disease. Cole continues that a “real man” like himself would “shoo away” the symptoms, but J.R. is not a real man. Cole then says that he hopes that J.R. will show up to compete in the Michael Cole Challenge next week.

Then it was time for the main event as, in a rematch from WrestleMania, Survivor Series opponents faced off as John Cena went one-on-one with The Miz. During the match, John Cena and The Miz battle on the outside when a fan wearing a Scream mask attacks Cena. As the fan is restrained by security, the match continues in the ring as Cena fights out of the Skull Crushing Finale and locking the STF in on The Miz, forcing Miz to tap out. After the match, the masked fan rushes the ring, but Cena catches him with the Attitude Adjustment before unmasking the fan, who turns out to be R-Truth. Now that The Rock has agreed to team up with John Cena at Survivor Series, what fate awaits The Miz & R-Truth?

I sure hope J.R. does get whole of Cole and beats him as I sure would like to see that mouth go!
