WWE Monday Night RAW February 7, 2011 Results

    By Cassidy
    | February 8, 2011
    WWE Raw

The 924th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI just one day Wisconsin’s own Green Bay Packers secured their fourth Super Bowl championship at Super Bowl XLV, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers with a score of 31-25! With chaos abound on both RAW and SmackDown, Monday Night RAW would kick off in a major way as RAW would see the return of WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon!

    Match Results

    • R-Truth def. Mason Ryan (in his singles match debut) by DQ after the referee reverses the decision as a result of a post-match assault by Mason Ryan.
    • 6-Diva Tag: Eve Torres, Gail Kim, & Tamina def. Melina & The Bella Twins by Eve Torres pinning Melina following a swinging neckbreaker.
    • John Morrison def. Michael McGillicutty by pin following Starship Pain.
    • Jerry “The King” Lawler & Daniel Bryan def. The Miz & Ted DiBiase by Jerry “The King” Lawler pinning Ted DiBiase following the fist drop from the second rope.
    • Alberto Del Rio def. Santino Marella by submission to the cross armbreaker.
    • CM Punk def. John Cena by DQ following a blatant low blow.

    Detailed Results

As promised, RAW kicks off with the return of the Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, Mr. McMahon, as the boss states that there is an event coming up that is bigger than the Super Bowl in WrestleMania! The Chairman continues that, every year at WrestleMania, there is something that has not been seen before, a “special moment” that separates each WrestleMania from the last and this year’s WrestleMania will be the same because next week they will introduce a man who is the “personification of that special moment” and is a man who will host an event in front of 75,000 people and there is only “one man that is capable of pulling off this endeavor” and that will be a special Guest Host of WrestleMania and that individual will be revealed next week on RAW! Who is this individual and what will the man bring as the Guest Host of the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania?

One week after delivering a vicious punt to the skull of New Nexus member Husky Harris on last week’s RAW, “The Viper” Randy Orton makes an appearance on RAW as Orton informs New Nexus leader CM Punk that he is just “getting started” and it is going to cost Punk “a lot more” than just Husky Harris! Orton is then interrupted by the leader of The New Nexus, CM Punk, as Punk states that they actually “agree” on something in saying that it is far from over between them before Punk explains why he cost Randy Orton the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble by showing a video from the Unforgiven pay-per-view in 2008 where CM Punk, the then World Heavyweight Champion, was confronted by Randy Orton before Punk was attacked, from behind, by Orton’s group, Legacy, before Orton delivered a vile punt to the skull of CM Punk, which would prevent Punk from defending the World Heavyweight Title later that night, where a new champion would be crowned! Punk then states that Orton doesn’t “care” that he had to forfeit the title on that night, but he has not “forgotten” that night and he has waited all this time to get his “revenge” before proclaiming that he is “right” and Orton is “wrong” and, as long as they are on the same show, Orton will “never” be the WWE Champion again! Punk then states that he has waited for his “revenge”, but he is not going to “wait” until WWE Elimination Chamber to “eliminate” Randy Orton before Punk brings out his New Nexus as David Otunga, Michael McGillicutty, & Mason Ryan overcome Orton’s attack on them and the three-on-one odds hold Orton back, but Orton gets a few shots in on Punk before The New Nexus ties Orton up in the ropes! Punk would then get in the face of the defenseless Randy Orton, but Orton would get a few kicks in on Punk before The New Nexus would beat Orton down before loading a defenseless Orton onto the shoulders of CM Punk as Punk delivers the GTS to “The Viper” before the bloody-nosed Punk stares into the face of Orton before Punk and his cohorts raise their fists proudly in the air! How will Randy Orton respond to this four-on-one attack by CM Punk & The New Nexus?

During the commercial break, it was announced by the anonymous General Manager of RAW that, on RAW, each member of The New Nexus will go one-on-one with a participant in the RAW Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber and will culminate with New Nexus leader CM Punk going one-on-one with John Cena in the main event!

In the first of the series of matches pitting members of The New Nexus against a participant in the RAW Elimination Chamber Match, New Nexus member Mason Ryan would compete in his first one-on-one match on RAW as Ryan would go one-on-one with R-Truth! In a dominant performance by Mason Ryan that would see Ryan demolish the knee of R-Truth, Ryan would implement a painful submission maneuver on Truth by placing the injured leg of R-Truth around the back of his head and wrenching the leg, forcing R-Truth to immediately tap out! After the match, Mason Ryan would go for a steel chair to do further damage to R-Truth, but the referee would twice stop the big man before Ryan would go back to his leg-wrenching submission maneuver to R-Truth before finally leaving the ring as the ring announcer reveals that, as a result of Mason Ryan’s assault on R-Truth, the referee has reversed the decision and disqualified Mason Ryan! What is the status of R-Truth following this attack by Mason Ryan? Will R-Truth be able to compete in the RAW Elimination Chamber Match in two weeks’ time?

Backstage, New Nexus leader CM Punk informs his New Nexus followers that there “objective” is to “hurt people” to take them out of the RAW Elimination Chamber Match that CM Punk is also taking part in! David Otunga then expresses his concern over being able to take King Sheamus out of the match and Punk responds by telling Otunga to have “faith”! What fate awaits the other participants in the RAW Elimination Chamber Match?

With former Divas Champion Natalya a guest on commentary, just one week before she gets her rematch for the Divas Title, the Divas would be in action on RAW as new Divas Champion Eve Torres would team with Gail Kim and Tamina to face the team of “The A-List Diva” Melina & The Bella Twins in 6-Diva Tag action! In the end, it was Eve Torres hitting a swinging neckbreaker en route to pinning Melina to pick up the win for her team! Can Natalya regain the Divas Title next week or will Eve Torres successfully retain the gold?

A second mysterious video airs during RAW as the same old-fashioned house is shown as last week as a vicious storm takes place outside as the door of the house flies open to show the mysterious figure in a black trench coat, who turns around and enters the house like a ghost in the night before the lyrics of a song state that “there ain’t no grave can hold my body down” before the date, 2.21.11, appears beside the door on the house! Is a man “buried alive” rising from the grave to return in two weeks’ time on RAW?

Two weeks before he is one of six competitors in the RAW Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber to determine the #1 Contender for the WWE Title at WrestleMania, “The Prince of Parkour” John Morrison would go one-on-one with New Nexus member Michael McGillicutty! During the match, Michael McGillicutty would place the left arm of John Morrison in between the steel steps and the steel ring post, but as McGillicutty went to crush the arm of Morrison, Morrison would narrowly escape and would fight back, hitting the Flash Kick and Starship Pain on McGillicutty en route to picking up the win! After the match, John Morrison would be on the stage when New Nexus leader CM Punk would come out and spray some sort of substance into the face of Morrison before blasting Morrison with a roundhouse kick to the head! What is the status of John Morrison following this attack by CM Punk?

One week after the shocking upset victory in the RAW Rumble Match to become the #1 Contender for the WWE Title at WWE Elimination Chamber, Jerry “The King” Lawler would be addressed by the WWE Champion, The Miz, with his “apprentice” Alex Riley in tow! The Miz states that he was “pulling for” Jerry Lawler in the RAW Rumble Match before calling the Hall of Famer into the ring and instructing Alex Riley out of the ring so Lawler does not feel “uncomfortable”! Lawler enters the ring as Miz asks Lawler why he was rooting for him last week and Lawler states that Miz thinks that Lawler would be the “easiest win” at WWE Elimination Chamber! Miz states that he could have beaten anyone in that RAW Rumble Match before stating that they are “mirror images” of each other because they both have a “reputation” of having one of the “biggest mouths” in history and Lawler was a “lightning rod” in his “prime” before Miz admits that he has “patterned” his career after Jerry Lawler’s and he has become the “modern day Jerry Lawler”, but he is the WWE Champion, something that Jerry Lawler will never! Jerry Lawler responds by admitting that they both have “big mouths”, but he backs his up before stating that he did not “pattern” his career after anyone because he’s an “original”! Lawler then speaks on behalf of the Milwaukee crowd by saying that Miz “sucks” before stating that he has never won the WWE Title or competed at WrestleMania, but Miz or anyone else has “no idea” what both of those things mean to him and he will not let the opportunity pass him by and he will be the WWE Champion and he is going to WrestleMania! As Miz begins to proclaim that he is “awesome”, but Lawler interrupts and calls Miz “awful”, prompting Miz to attack Lawler, but Lawler would get the better of both the WWE Champion and Alex Riley, but Ted DiBiase would rush out and would attack Jerry Lawler before Daniel Bryan would come out to even the odds and fend off Miz and DiBiase! The anonymous General Manager of RAW then chimes in with an email that announces a tag team match pitting Daniel Bryan and Jerry Lawler against The Miz and Ted DiBiase!

In an impromptu match made by the anonymous General Manager of RAW, the #1 Contender for the WWE Title at WWE Elimination Chamber, Jerry “The King” Lawler, would team with United States Champion Daniel Bryan to face the team of WWE Champion The Miz and “The Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase! In the end, it was Jerry “The King” Lawler hitting the fist drop off of the second rope en route to pinning Ted DiBiase to pick up the win for himself and Daniel Bryan! In two weeks’ time at WWE Elimination Chamber, can Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler do the unthinkable by winning the WWE Title and earning a guaranteed spot at WrestleMania?

Before his scheduled one-on-one match with New Nexus member David Otunga, King Sheamus is halted during his entrance to the ring by interviewer Josh Mathews as Mathews tells Sheamus that he was told to relay comments made by Mark Henry as Henry apparently stated that Sheamus does not “deserve” to be in the RAW Elimination Chamber Match and that Mark Henry should take his place! King Sheamus responds by saying that Mark Henry is a “joke” and has not accomplished anything in his career and Mark Henry would not even be able to fit inside one of the pods in the Elimination Chamber before saying that Mark Henry should “shut his mouth” before he “shuts it for him”! As New Nexus member David Otunga hesitantly makes his way to the ring for his one-on-one match with King Sheamus, Mark Henry would come out as Henry and Sheamus would engage in a brawl between the two big men and David Otunga would distract King Sheamus long enough for Mark Henry to come back and deliver the World’s Strongest Slam to King Sheamus not once, but twice! Mark Henry would then exit the ring as David Otunga enters the ring and raises his fist high with a big smile on his face! After injuries were dealt out to Randy Orton, R-Truth, John Morrison, & King Sheamus by CM Punk & The New Nexus, what fate awaits the group’s final target, John Cena?

One week after making an emphatic statement on RAW by assaulting the World Heavyweight Champion, Edge, after revealing that he will challenge for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania, the winner of the 2011 Royal Rumble Match, Alberto Del Rio, would make a special appearance on RAW to go one-on-one with the Superstar he eliminated last to win the Royal Rumble Match in one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Santino Marella! In the end, it was Alberto Del Rio locking in the cross armbreaker on Santino Marella, forcing Santino to tap out to pick up the win!

Four nights before she serves as the Special Referee for the World Heavyweight Title rematch between champion Edge and her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler, the acting General Manager of SmackDown, Vickie Guerrero, appears with her boyfriend as Vickie states that Dolph Ziggler will be entering the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Title as the World Heavyweight Champion because Dolph will beat Edge for the gold this Friday night on SmackDown! Vickie is then interrupted by the arrival of the 2010 Superstar of the Year John Cena as Cena states that it was pretty “awesome” the last time the three of them were in the ring and Vickie interrupts, stating that, if they don’t get the “respect” that the acting General Manager of SmackDown and the “future World Champion” deserve, then they will “leave”, prompting Cena to rile up the fans, leading to the departure of Dolph & Vickie! John Cena then recaps CM Punk & The New Nexus’ attack on the other RAW Elimination Chamber Match participants before vowing that he will overcome CM Punk and The New Nexus and will win the RAW Elimination Chamber Match and will headline WrestleMania!

After his bold words proclaiming victory in the RAW Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber, John Cena would be looking to avoid the fate suffered by his fellow Elimination Chamber Match participants when Cena would go one-on-one with the leader of The New Nexus, CM Punk! Throughout the match, John Cena would repeatedly look over his shoulder, expecting The New Nexus, so when the referee warned Cena about pummeling Punk in the corner, Cena brought an end to the match by delivering a blatant low blow to CM Punk! After the match, The New Nexus would come out and, as Mason Ryan checks on CM Punk, David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty would enter the ring and come face-to-face with Cena and, after being handed a steel chair by Jerry “The King” Lawler, Cena would waylay Otunga and McGillicutty with chair shots before standing tall in the ring having thwarted the plans of CM Punk & The New Nexus to take him out of the RAW Elimination Chamber Match! After standing tall with steel in hand, can John Cena overcome the odds when he is locked inside the steel with the winner earning a WWE Title opportunity at WrestleMania inside the unforgiving Elimination Chamber?
