After his surprising 60-day suspension that began on May 25 and was announced by WWE.com on May 30, WrestlingInc.com is reporting that nine-time World Champion and SmackDown Superstar Randy Orton is scheduled to return on next week’s RAW in Cincinnati and is also scheduled to appear on next week’s SmackDown. The third-generation star’s suspension will officially be up tomorrow, July 27, and, while several WWE officials were calling for Orton’s release, the plan is to push Randy Orton upon his return due to the WWE’s lack of roster depth.
Orton will likely be returning to a very hostile locker room as the vast majority of WWE officials, most notably WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon, is very unhappy with Orton’s Wellness Policy violation. It is worth noting that, if Orton violates the Wellness Policy one more time, then the WWE will have no choice but to release Orton from his contract.
“The Viper” was backstage at this past Monday’s 1,000th Episode of RAW visiting friends as RAW 1000 was in his hometown of St. Louis.
