LIVE Tuesday Edition of WWE SmackDown Detailed Results

    By Cassidy
    | December 22, 2010
    WWE SmackDown

Two nights after an unforgettable WWE TLC that saw a brand new World Heavyweight Champion crowned, the 592nd edition of WWE SmackDown would be a special Tuesday edition of SmackDown which came to you, live, from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. Two nights after surviving Kane, Rey Mysterio, and Alberto Del Rio in a Fatal 4-Way TLC Match to become a ten-time World Champion, the new World Heavyweight Champion Edge would make an appearance on SmackDown! Two nights after The Miz’s controversial retention of the WWE Title over Randy Orton in a Tables Match, a rematch would take place on SmackDown as WWE Champion The Miz would go one-on-one with “The Viper” Randy Orton! One night after insulting Vickie Guerrero on RAW and defeating her boyfriend Dolph Ziggler, John Cena would make a special appearance on SmackDown as the 2010 Superstar of the Year John Cena would face both Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and his girlfriend, SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero, in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match!

    Match Results

    • Non-Title: Randy Orton def. The Miz (with Alex Riley) by DQ after Alex Riley interferes.
    • Santino Marella def. Chavo Guerrero by roll-up following the Totally Lethal Cobra.
    • Drew McIntyre def. Kaval by pin following the Future Shock DDT.
    • Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston def. Alberto Del Rio & Jack Swagger by Rey Mysterio pinning Jack Swagger following the Rope Splash.
    • 2-on-1 Handicap Match: John Cena def. Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero by pinning Dolph Ziggler following the Attitude Adjustment.

    Detailed Results

The show kicks off in a big way as, two nights after losing, in controversial fashion, to The Miz in a Tables Match for the WWE Title, “The Viper” Randy Orton would be looking for retribution as Orton would go one-on-one with WWE Champion The Miz, with “apprentice” Alex Riley in his corner, in a non-title match! In the end, it was Randy Orton knocking Alex Riley off of the ring apron and hitting the RKO on The Miz, but when Orton went for the cover on Miz, Alex Riley would interfere, ending the match via a disqualification win for Randy Orton! After the match, Randy Orton would send Alex Riley to the outside before readying the career-ending punt to The Miz, but Alex Riley would re-enter the ring and would catch the RKO for his efforts, but this would allow Miz to narrowly escape the punt! Randy Orton seems to get more and more determined each time he faces The Miz, but with a new #1 Contender for the WWE Title being named, where does Randy Orton go from here?

Two nights after embarrassing “Dashing” Cody Rhodes at WWE TLC, “The World’s Largest Santa” would make a special appearance on SmackDown with “Santa’s Little Helper” Rosa Mendes and “Santa’s Elf” Hornswoggle! “The World’s Largest Santa” would then read a special Christmas poem about WWE TLC and his embarrassing of “Dashing” Cody Rhodes! After his poem, “The World’s Largest Santa” and Rosa Mendes would hand out presents to the crowd, but with Hornswoggle alone in the ring, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes would rush in and attack the little guy, attempting to strip Hornswoggle down to his underwear, but Big Show would enter the ring, causing Rhodes to flee! How will Big Show respond to “Dashing” Cody Rhodes’ attack on Hornswoggle?

After picking up a win with Tamina in Mixed Tag action on RAW, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Santino Marella, would go one-on-one with “The Mexican Warrior” Chavo Guerrero! In the end, it was Santino Marella hitting the Totally Lethal Cobra on Chavo Guerrero en route to picking up the win!

Two nights after surviving Kane, Rey Mysterio, and Alberto Del Rio in a Fatal 4-Way TLC Match to win the World Heavyweight Title, the new World Heavyweight Champion Edge would make an appearance on SmackDown! Edge proclaims that all the weeks he had possession of Paul Bearer and all the eluding of Kane was “worth it” to be the World Heavyweight Champion! Edge then states that he has told himself from the beginning that he would some day be the World Heavyweight Champion because he has had the “confidence” to do it! Edge was then interrupted by the former World Heavyweight Champion, Kane, who tells Edge that Edge’s “story is finished” because he will “write the ending” to Edge’s story and it will “not have a happy ending” as it will end with Edge’s “body broken” and the World Heavyweight Title back in his possession! Edge then interrupts and tells Edge that nothing is more “painful” than listening to Kane’s “psychotic ramblings” before challenging Kane to face him for the World Heavyweight Championship right there, live, on SmackDown! Kane would then look to accept the challenge by walking towards the ring, but would back up and tell Edge that they have been playing by Edge’s “rules” and he will get the World Heavyweight Title back on his “terms” and when he is “ready”! When will Kane be “ready” to get his rematch for the World Heavyweight Title?

“The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre was in action on SmackDown as McIntyre would go one-on-one with “The World Warrior” Kaval, but before the match even begins, Drew McIntyre would attack Kaval, but, despite the attack, Kaval would opt to take part in the match! Drew McIntyre would then be able to easily capitalize on a softened up Kaval by planting “The World Warrior” with the Future Shock DDT en route to picking up the win!

After all four Superstars went through grueling matches two nights earlier at WWE TLC, “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio would team with Kofi Kingston to face the team of “The Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio and “The All-American American” Jack Swagger! At the end of a very chaotic match, it was Kofi Kingston hitting Trouble in Paradise on Jack Swagger and Rey Mysterio following it up with a rope splash en route to Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston picking up the win!

Backstage, Drew McIntyre confronts Kelly Kelly once again and states that he has done some thing that he is not “proud of”, but he will never “hurt” her!

One night after insulting Vickie Guerrero and defeating Dolph Ziggler, the 2010 Superstar of the Year would face Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and his girlfriend, SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero, in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match! In the end, it was John Cena actually locking lips with Vickie Guerrero to quell any further interference before planting Dolph Ziggler with the Attitude Adjustment en route to picking up the hard-fought win! After the match, John Cena would look to deliver the Attitude Adjustment to Vickie Guerrero as well, but, much like on RAW, CM Punk would hit the ring and waylay John Cena with a steel chair! Why has CM Punk attacked John Cena twice in two nights with a steel chair?
