    Seth Rollins 250318 2

    Detailed Results

Following a two-hour WrestleMania Kickoff that saw “Woken” Matt Hardy win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, Cedric Alexander best Mustafa Ali to claim the vacant Cruiserweight Title, and Naomi win the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, WrestleMania 34 would get underway with the Intercontinental Championship up for grabs as The Miz would defend the prestigious title against Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match in the opening match of “The Show of Shows”. During the fast-paced match, The Miz would lock in the Figure-Four on Finn Balor only for Seth Rollins to break it up in grand fashion with a frog splash to The Miz. Later on in the match, Seth Rollins would go for his superplex into the Falcon Arrow, but Finn Balor would counter into a roll-up with Seth kicking out before The Miz plants Rollins with the Skull Crushing Finale but Seth kicks out. The Miz and Finn Balor would then find themselves perched on the top rope with Seth Rollins trying for a top rope maneuver but The Miz would counter with a modified Skull Crushing Finale off of the top rope to Seth Rollins. However, before The Miz would get the three-count, Finn would come off of the top rope with the Coup de Grace to the back of The Miz. Finn would then deliver another Coup de Grace to The Miz but, when Balor goes for the cover, Rollins would strike with the Curb Stomp to Balor! Rollins then sizes The Miz up for the Curb Stomp, putting “The A-Lister” down with his signature Stomp, securing the three-count to win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”!

Having won the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match to earn the opportunity, “The Empress of Tomorrow” would make her debut on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” as the undefeated Asuka would challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title. During the match, Charlotte Flair would look for a suplex to Asuka on the ring apron, but Asuka would counter, delivering a suplex off of the ring apron to the arena floor with both champion and challenger barely beating getting back into the ring before the ten-count. Later on in the match, Charlotte Flair would nearly break Asuka in half with a Spear before Charlotte locks in the Figure-Eight, making Asuka tap out to end the two and a half year undefeated streak of “The Empress of Tomorrow” and retain the SmackDown Women’s Title! After the match, Asuka would show her respect for Charlotte Flair, grabbing a microphone and statin that Charlotte “was ready for Asuka” before congratulating the champion before the two share a hug in the ring. After Charlotte Flair exits the ring and is still celebrating her win on the ramp, a referee rushes down to ringside and climbs over the barricade to tell John Cena, who had been sitting in the front row as a fan just like he said he would do, about something with the referee having to convince Cena of whatever it is he was trying to convey. This would result in Cena getting out of his seat and hopping over the barricade, quickly running up the ramp to the back.

The United States Championship would then be defended at WrestleMania as “The Viper” Randy Orton would defend the prestigious title in a Fatal 4-Way Match against “The Glorious One” Bobby Roode, “The Modern Day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal, with Sunil Singh in his corner, and “The Lion of Bulgaria” Rusev, with Aiden English in his corner. During the match, Randy Orton was poised to deliver the RKO to Rusev but this is when Aiden English would get into the ring, only to get an RKO from “The Viper”. Orton would then spike Rusev with an RKO before hitting Jinder Mahal with an RKO as well! Orton would the go for the cover but Bobby Roode would break it up, tossing Rusev out of the ring before planting Orton with the Glorious DDT. Jinder then breaks up the pinfall attempt before Rusev comes back into the ring, taking Roode out with the Machka Kick before catching Jinder with the Machka Kick as well. Rusev would then kick Sunil Singh off of the ring apron and the distraction would allow Jinder Mahal to hit Rusev with the Khallas as Jinder pins Rusev to win the United States Title.

Then it was time for the in-ring debut of “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey as the former UFC Bantamweight Champion would step onto the grand stage of WrestleMania to team with RAW General Manager and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle to face RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and her husband, WWE COO and fourteen-time former World Champion Triple H in a Mixed Tag Match. Early on, Stephanie McMahon & Triple H would use the rules to their advantage with Stephanie sending Kurt Angle into the steel steps behind the referee’s back and choking Kurt on the middle rope. However, when Stephanie holds Kurt for her husband, Angle would move out of the way and Triple H would nearly knock his wife off of the ring apron. This brief moment would allow Kurt to gain the advantage long enough to tag in Ronda Rousey. This would automatically bring Stephanie into the match and the UFC legend would finally get her hands on the RAW Commissioner, tossing Stephanie around the ring and peppering her boss with lefts and rights in the corner! Stephanie then tries to beg Rousey off but “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” would not relent, going for the armbar on Stephanie, but Stephanie would do everything in her power to block the submission before delivering a thumb to the eye to gain the advantage.

After realizing that Triple H was not on the apron for her to tag, Stephanie would take the opportunity to take it to Ronda Rousey, planting Ronda with a DDT. However, when Stephanie takes the time to mock Rousey, it would give Ronda the time she needed to fight back, slamming Stephanie but when Ronda goes for the pin, Triple H would pull the referee out of the ring to stop the count. After a few choice words for “The Game”, Rousey would turn her attention back to Stephanie but this is when Triple H would continue to break the rules of the match, pulling Ronda out of the ring! Kurt Angle then gets back into the action, bringing Triple H onto the announce table but Triple H fights Kurt off before tossing the WWE Hall of Famer onto the Spanish announce table. Triple H then gets into the ring to check on his wife and this is when Ronda Rousey would get in the ring, showing no fear towards Triple H, daring the fourteen-time former World Champion to fight her. Triple H would scoff at the challenge but the WWE COO would quickly find out that Rousey was not the woman to mess with as “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” would dish out lefts and rights to “The Game” before Stephanie intervenes. This sparks a battle on the outside between Ronda and Stephanie with Ronda tossing Stephanie into the barricade before Stephanie responds by sending Rousey face-first into the ring post, leaving both women down on the outside.

It then comes down to Kurt Angle and Triple H in the ring as Kurt sends his longtime rival for the ride with a trio of German suplexes before the two legends go counter-for-counter before Angle hits Triple H with the Angle Slam but Triple H kicks out! Stephanie then gets back in the ring, trying to kick Kurt Angle, but Kurt catches Stephanie’s foot before locking his boss in the Ankle Lock! Triple H then pulls Kurt off of Stephanie, planting Angle with the Pedigree but Ronda Rousey breaks up the pinfall attempt. Triple H then tries for the Pedigree on Rousey, but Ronda counters before locking Triple H in an armbar! However, Stephanie intervenes, trying to choke Rousey out but Ronda counters, ultimately locking Stephanie in the armbar. Triple H then tries to save his wife but Kurt traps “The Game” in the Ankle Lock with a desperate Triple H countering out of the submission, sending Kurt into Rousey, briefly leaving all four combatants down. Stephanie & Triple H then regain the advantage with the power couple setting Kurt & Ronda up for dueling Pedigrees but Kurt would counter, sending Triple H out of the ring. Rousey then counters Stephanie before trying for the armbar with Stephanie doing everything she can to block the submission but it would be to no avail as Rousey would lock in the armbar as Stephanie taps out immediately as Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle pick up an impressive victory in Ronda Rousey’s WrestleMania debut!

The SmackDown Tag Team Titles would then be on the line at WrestleMania as The Usos would defend the tag titles against The New Day’s Big E & Kofi Kingston, with Xavier Woods in their corner, and The Bludgeon Brothers in a Triple Threat Tag Match. Early on in the match, The Bludgeon Brothers would exert their dominance before targeting Xavier Woods on the outside, hurling Xavier into the ring post. The Usos then manage to take Rowan out on the outside with a double team suplex on the ring apron. In the ring, The Usos would try to take Harper out with Big E trying to lend a hand but Rowan would break it up. The Bludgeon Brothers then isolate Kofi Kingston with Rowan handing Kofi to Harper, who hits Kofi with a sitout powerbomb from the top rope, pinning Kingston as The Bludgeon Brothers become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania.

After abruptly leaving his seat in the front row and heading to the back, sixteen-time former World Champion John Cena would come down to the ring dressed to compete. However, with a referee in the ring ready to call the match, Cena would eagerly await the arrival of The Undertaker but a second referee would come down to talk to John Cena. Upon hearing what the referee has to say, John Cena’s demeanor would change and Cena would leave the ring disappointed. However, John Cena and the fans in attendance would get their hopes up when the lights go out in the stadium only for Elias to come out, strumming his guitar. Elias would take his time coming down to the ring, saying that the individual they were expecting does not have the charisma that he possesses. Now in the ring, Elias tells a visibly disappointed John Cena that he’s got it from here. Cena does as he’s told, leaving the ring and getting back in his seat in the front row as Elias goes ahead with his performance. However, once Elias insults John Cena and the fans in New Orleans, Cena would barge back into the ring, taking it to Elias before planting Elias with the Attitude Adjustment.

Cena’s music then plays and Cena leaves the ring, but once Cena starts walking up the ramp, the lights in the Superdome go out again and, this time, a spotlight shines on the hat and coat of The Undertaker in the middle of the ring before lighting strikes the garments and the lights go out again! The spotlight then shows that the hat and coat are gone with another spotlight showing John Cena, who stands in shock. The unmistakable gong of The Undertaker then sounds in the arena and flames erupt from the stage before “The Deadman” finally appears, rising from the depths and walking through the smoke, making his trademark eerie entrance as Cena eagerly awaits The Undertaker in the ring. The Undertaker then stands across the ring from John Cena in the very arena where The Undertaker’s legendary WrestleMania streak was ended by Brock Lesnar four years ago. “The Phenom” then removes his hat and coat and puts his hands up before the referee rings the bell with the impromptu match getting underway! The Undertaker would dominate the sixteen-time former World Champion with John Cena only getting a couple of moves in before The Undertaker plants Cena with a chokeslam before spiking Cena with the Tombstone Piledriver, pinning Cena and defeating Cena in impressive fashion as “The Phenom” turns the clock back once again, standing tall on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”.

In an improbable return that many people never expected to see, Daniel Bryan would make his return to in-ring competition at WrestleMania as the SmackDown LIVE General Manager would team with SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon to face the fired Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn with the stipulation that, if Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn win, they will be reinstated to SmackDown LIVE. Before the match can even begin, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn would attack Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon from behind with Sami sending Shane into the front row, right in front of his wife and kids before Owens & Zayn target Daniel Bryan, sending Daniel into the barricade before Sami blasts Bryan with the Helluva Kick and Kevin Owens follows it up by powerbombing Daniel on the ring apron. Shane then calls for help for Daniel Bryan as Shane gets in the ring, ordering the referee to start the match as the fearless Commissioner would go into battle alone.

Shane would struggle to stay in the match as Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn would focus on the umbilical hernia of Shane McMahon but, after Owens hits Shane with a frog splash, Daniel Bryan would jump in to make the save at the last second! Owens & Zayn would do their best to keep Shane from making the tag to Daniel Bryan but the gutsy Commissioner would make it to Daniel Bryan, tagging in the SmackDown LIVE General Manager, who takes it to Owens & Zayn. However, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn would halt the momentum of Daniel Bryan with Sami scoring with the Helluva Kick to the GM, but Bryan kicks out! Kevin Owens then hits Daniel with the Pop-Up Powerbomb but Bryan kicks out again! Shane then gets back in the action, taking Kevin Owens out on the outside, leaving it down to Daniel Bryan and Sami Zayn. Daniel would score with a barrage of kicks to Sami before Bryan sizes Sami up, delivering the running knee before Bryan locks in the Yes Lock, making Zayn tap out to pick up the win for himself and Shane McMahon as Daniel Bryan’s return to in-ring competition is a successful one at “The Show of Shows”.

The RAW Women’s Championship would then be defended at WrestleMania as Alexa Bliss, with Mickie James in her corner, would defend the RAW Women’s Title against her former best friend Nia Jax. Before the match begins, Nia Jax would target Alexa Bliss’ backup, attacking Mickie James, ragdolling Mickie around the ringside area before flattening Mickie with a Samoan Drop on the floor! Nia then steps into the ring to face a fearful Alexa Bliss as the match officially gets underway. After being dominated by Nia Jax in the early going, Alexa Bliss would try to take her title and walk out, but Nia would not let the champion get away, bringing Alexa back into the ring. Alexa then rakes the eyes of the challenger before targeting the left leg of Nia Jax to try and neutralize the power game of “The Irresistible Force”. Throughout the match, Alexa would repeatedly rake the eyes of Nia Jax but Nia would not be denied, bringing Alexa to the second rope, delivering a Samoan Drop to Bliss off of the second rope, pinning Alexa for the three-count to end the reign of “The Goddess” as Nia Jax wins her very first championship in WWE, leaving the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as the RAW Women’s Champion.

Then it was time for a dream match to take center stage as the most prestigious title in WWE would be defended at WrestleMania as “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles would defend the WWE Championship against 2018 Royal Rumble Match winner Shinsuke Nakamura. At the end of a grueling match, Shinsuke Nakamura would size AJ Styles up for the Kinshasa but the champion would manage to counter the Kinshasa into the Styles Clash, putting Nakamura away to successfully retain the WWE Title. After the match, AJ Styles would help Nakamura to his feet as the two seasoned competitors would embrace in the ring. Nakamura would then grab the WWE Title and get down on one knee, presenting the title to AJ Styles in a show of respect. However, this would pave the way for a shocking betrayal as Nakamura would hit Styles with a low blow! “The Artist” would then repeatedly kick AJ Styles until the WWE Champion falls out of the ring. Nakamura then gets a couple of more kicks in before the referee tries to get Nakamura to leave only for Nakamura to charge at AJ Styles, leveling the WWE Champion with the Kinshasa. Shinsuke Nakamura then backs off and heads to the back, having left the world stunned.

The RAW Tag Team Titles would also be on the line on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” as Cesaro & Sheamus would defend the RAW Tag Team Titles against “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman and a partner of his choosing. Before the match begins, Braun Strowman says that he knows that everyone wants to know who his tag team partner is, especially Cesaro & Sheamus, and that is why he waited until WrestleMania to reveal who it is. Braun then says that his tag team partner is not any one person in the back before saying that his tag team partner is someone in the crowd! Strowman then asks for volunteers from the crowd before scouring the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for his tag team partner before Braun finds a child in the crowd to be his tag team partner! “The Monster Among Men” then helps the child in the ring before asking for the kid’s name, who responds with “Nicholas”. Nicholas then gets on the ring apron before the surreal match gets underway! Cesaro & Sheamus would get the better of Braun Strowman and Braun would tag out to Nicholas but, luckily, Nicholas tags right back out to Braun Strowman. Braun then picks Cesaro up, planting Cesaro with the running powerslam, pinning Cesaro for the win as Braun Strowman and the young kid named Nicholas win the RAW Tag Team Titles! Braun & Nicholas then leave the ring with the RAW Tag Team Titles.

Then it was time for the main event of WrestleMania 34 as two powerhouses would collide in a rematch from their showdown three years ago as “The Beast” Brock Lesnar would defend the Universal Championship against “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns. After an initial onslaught by Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar would battle back, tossing Roman Reigns in and around the ring with methodical suplexes. The champion then exposes the German announce table before Roman Reigns fights back, sending Brock into the ring post before “The Big Dog” charges at Brock Lesnar, sending “The Beast” careening over the announce table. Reigns then brings Lesnar back into the ring, hitting the champion with the Superman Punch before hitting the Spear but Brock gets up right away so the challenger hits a second Spear, but Brock kicks out! Roman then goes for a third Spear but “The Beast” catches Roman with a knee to the face.

Lesnar then hits Reigns with the F-5, but Roman kicks out so Brock delivers a second F-5 to the challenger but Reigns kicks out again! The champion then snaps off a third F-5 but Roman kicks out again, leaving even Paul Heyman in shock! Brock then brings Reigns to the outside, picking the challenger up and hurling Roman through the German announce table with a fourth F-5! Brock then tosses Reigns back into the ring, suplexing Roman again. “The Beast” then picks Reigns up, hitting Roman with a fifth F-5 but Reigns kicks out again. Enraged, Brock Lesnar would remove his gloves and would bludgeon Roman Reigns with unprotected shots to the head of the challenger, bloodying “The Big Dog”. Energized by the blood flowing from his head, Roman Reigns would fight back in a big way with back-to-back Spears but “The Beast” would kick out again! The challenger then goes for a third Spear but Brock catches Reigns with the sixth F-5 of the match, finally keeping “The Big Dog” down for the three-count as Brock Lesnar leaves the Mercedes-Benz Superdome still the Universal Champion. After the match, Roman Reigns would make the long walk up the ramp to the back, having come up short in his quest to conquer “The Beast” at WrestleMania.
