    Detailed Results

RAW kicks off with several RAW Superstars standing on the stage, including RAW Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, Asuka, Alicia Fox, Dana Brooke, Mickie James, Finn Balor, Matt Hardy, Goldust, Cesaro & Sheamus, Gallows & Anderson, Heath Slater & Rhyno, Apollo Crews, Titus O’Neil, Curt Hawkins, Dash Wilder, Elias, and Jason Jordan with RAW General Manager Kurt Angle already in the ring, ready to address the RAW locker room. The GM says that, last week, SmackDown LIVE Commissioner took their “friendly competition” too far. Kurt then apologizes to the RAW roster, saying that he let his friendship with Shane McMahon “blind” him and the RAW Superstars were the ones who paid for it, saying that he put them in harm’s way and he promises to never do that again.

The GM then begins to discuss Survivor Series when he is interrupted by the return of RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon, who makes her first appearance on RAW since prior to WrestleMania! The Commissioner first promotes the huge 25th anniversary of RAW on January 22 before saying that she thinks that Kurt has been doing a hell of a job since he was named the RAW General Manager by Vince McMahon back in April. Stephanie commends Kurt on handling situations like his illegitimate son, the viral infection plaguing the locker room, and Braun Strowman being compacted in the back of a garbage truck. The Commissioner continues, saying that the GM led by example by competing at WWE TLC, saying that Kurt has “earned” her respect.

However, Stephanie McMahon takes issue with her brother Shane’s SmackDown LIVE invasion of RAW last week, telling Kurt that it takes “twenty years” to build a reputation and only “twenty seconds” to lose it. The Commissioner then says that the truth is that Shane is “shallow” and “manipulative”, saying that he couldn’t get the job done at WWE Hell in a Cell, so he decided to come and “pick on” Stephanie. Stephanie continues, saying that Shane “exploited” his friendship with Kurt and that the GM let what her father spent twenty-five years building turn into a “mockery”, calling Kurt “incompetent” before making the announcement that Kurt himself will be the captain of Team RAW in the match against Team SmackDown LIVE at Survivor Series! Stephanie then tells the GM that she expects “results” and she expects “total annihilation” and, if she doesn’t get what she expects, then she’s going to have to find a “new General Manager”, concluding by telling Kurt “it’s true, it’s damn true” before Stephanie leaves the ring, leaving Kurt in the ring looking rightfully worried about Survivor Series.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon tells Kurt Angle that she meant what she said in the ring, telling Kurt to just ask Mick Foley about that before the RAW Commissioner gets in her limousine and leaves the arena. Just as Stephanie is leaving, another limousine pulls into the arena as Intercontinental Champion The Miz and his Miztourage of Curtis Axel and the returning Bo Dallas get out of the limo. Kurt points out that The Miz is late and the Intercontinental Champion responds by saying that he’s “fashionably late” and commenting that he probably didn’t miss anything important. Kurt responds by filling The Miz in on Stephanie’s return as well as Stephanie making him the captain of Team RAW at Survivor Series.

The Miz takes issue with this, saying that Kurt is getting “rewarded” for being a “bad General Manager”. However, Kurt is no mood for The Miz’s complaining, telling the Intercontinental Champion that he was nowhere to be found when SmackDown LIVE invaded RAW last week. The GM then says that The Miz is either “selfish” or a “coward”, saying that he doesn’t want someone like that representing RAW at Survivor Series before informing The Miz that he is going to defend his Intercontinental Championship right here tonight! The Miz is flabbergasted at this news before asking who his opponent is going to be, but Kurt refuses to tell The Miz who his opponent will be, saying that, if The Miz showed up on time, then he would have told him who his opponent is before telling The Miz to go and get ready for his title defense.

After Alicia Fox pinned Bayley in a Triple Threat Match last week to become the captain of Team RAW in the Women’s Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match at Survivor Series, the opening match of the night would see Bayley go one-on-one with Alicia Fox. However, that plan would change as, before the match, Alicia Fox would say that, as the captain of Team RAW, she doesn’t have time to have a match against Bayley. Alicia then says that she’s found a “suitable replacement” before bringing out the returning Nia Jax! In the end, it was Nia Jax flattening Bayley with a big leg drop, pinning Bayley to pick up the win. After the match, Alicia Fox would inform Nia Jax that Nia is her first pick to be a part of Team RAW at Survivor Series!

The surprise returns would then just keep on coming as Samoa Joe would make his return on RAW, appearing for the first time since SummerSlam! Joe says that, since none of them cared that he was gone, he cares about “none” of them. Joe then says that he is going to use their “disrespect” as fuel against whoever he faces in the ring because, when he is beating the hell out of them, he is going to be pretending that it is each and every one of them.

Samoa Joe was then in action on RAW as “The Destroyer” would go one-on-one with Apollo Crews, with Titus O’Neil in his corner. In the end, it was Samoa Joe slamming Apollo Crews down with the uranage out of the corner before locking in the Coquina Clutch, making Apollo tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Titus O’Neil would get in the ring to confront Samoa Joe and, while Joe would initially look to leave the ring, Joe would wait for Titus to turn his back before “The Destroyer” strikes, locking in the Coquina Clutch, punishing Titus before referees are able to break it up as Joe leaves the ring with a sinister smile on his face.

After being forced to defend the Intercontinental Championship by RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, The Miz, with The Miztourage in his corner, would defend the Intercontinental Title against Matt Hardy. During the match, Matt Hardy would throw everything he had at The Miz but, in the end, The Miz was able to hit the Skull Crushing Finale, pinning Matt to pick up the win and successfully retain the Intercontinental Title.

“The Empress of Tomorrow” was in action on RAW as the undefeated Asuka would go one-on-one with local competitor Stacie Cullen. In a dominant performance, it was Asuka locking in the Asuka Lock on Stacie Cullen, making the local competitor tap out to pick up the win.

Backstage, a panicked Kurt Angle is quick to alert security when he spots SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan standing in his office. However, Daniel says that he didn’t have anything to do with SmackDown LIVE invading RAW last week and that Shane McMahon doesn’t even know he’s there. However, Kurt doesn’t believe Daniel, telling Bryan that he wants Daniel to deliver a message to Shane for him, telling Daniel that he’s going to bring his gold medals and he’s bringing the RAW roster to take Shane McMahon and SmackDown LIVE out!

Still backstage in Kurt Angle’s office, Daniel Bryan is left alone in the office when the lights go out in the room. Naturally, Daniel is panicked by being locked in the dark room in enemy territory, telling the person on the other end of his phone call how “frustrating” this whole situation is. Daniel then tells the other person that “something is wrong” before hanging up the call. In the brief moment before the cell phone’s light goes out, Kane appears in the dark room as “The Big Red Machine” grabs Daniel by the throat and, with the light going out and leaving the room pitch black, an audible crash is heard in the office.

Finn Balor was then in action on RAW as Finn would go one-on-one with Cesaro, with Sheamus in his corner. After diving to the outside to take out both Cesaro & Sheamus, Finn Balor would bring Cesaro back into the ring before coming off of the top rope with a double stomp to the back of the neck of Cesaro, pinning Cesaro to pick up the win. However, there would be little time to celebrate after the match as Kane would emerge with his sights set on Finn Balor. Finn would try to attack Kane first, “The Big Red Machine” would kick Finn in the mid-section before picking Finn up and spiking Balor with a Tombstone Piledriver on the stage! Referees then rush out to check on Finn Balor as Kane makes his way to the ring for his scheduled match.

One-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins, with Dean Ambrose in his corner, would then go one-on-one with “The Big Red Machine” Kane, with Cesaro & Sheamus in his corner in the spillover from their match at WWE TLC. During the match, Cesaro & Sheamus would attack Dean Ambrose on the outside and this would draw the attention of Seth Rollins as Rollins would dive to the outside to take out Cesaro & Sheamus. Seth then turns his attention back to Kane but the momentary distraction was enough for Kane to take advantage as “The Big Red Machine” plants Rollins with the chokeslam, pinning Seth for the win. After the match, Kane would be looking to deal further damage to Seth Rollins but Dean Ambrose would get involved, spiking Kane with Dirty Deeds. However, Kane would sit up before Cesaro & Sheamus join the fray, beating Ambrose down before Kane spikes Dean with the Tombstone Piledriver! “The Big Red Machine” then picks Seth Rollins up before doing the same to Seth, spiking Rollins with the Tombstone Piledriver! Kane then stands over his victims, having laid waste to the RAW Tag Team Champions before Kane leaves the ring.

Backstage, The Miz and The Miztourage enter The Miz’s locker room to find a bag of garbage in the middle of the floor. The Miz immediately realizes that the garbage is a sign from Braun Strowman, who The Miz was responsible for crushing in the back of a garbage truck at WWE TLC. The Miztourage then tries to calm the Intercontinental Champion down, assuring The Miz that they’ve got his back but this only seems to add to The Miz’s worry.

With Heath Slater & Rhyno dressed up as Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus and Gallows & Anderson dressed up as Tex Ferguson & Chadd 2 Badd, RAW would be host to a special Trick or Street Fight to celebrate Halloween, complete with Jack O’Lanterns, candy corn kendo sticks, bobbing for apples, plastic skeletons, and more seasonal items. At the end of a whacky Halloween brawl, it was Rhyno slamming a Jack O’Lantern-wearing Karl Anderson through a table with a belly-to-belly suplex, pinning Anderson for the win while Luke Gallows is blinded by having his Jack O’Lantern on backwards.

After getting a guitar smashed over his shoulder last week, Jason Jordan would interrupt a performance by Elias with revenge on his mind. Jordan would toss Elias around the ring before Elias heads for higher ground. Unfortunately for Elias, Elias would leave his guitar behind and Jason Jordan would stomp the guitar to pieces before tossing the pieces out of the ring at the feet of Elias.

The Cruiserweights were in action on RAW as, with WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore in his corner, Drew Gulak would go one-on-one with former champion Kalisto. In the end, it was Kalisto hitting Drew Gulak with the Salida del Sol, pinning Gulak for the win. Before the three-count was even made, Enzo Amore was already in the ring ready to pounce as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion would attack Kalisto from behind, hitting Kalisto with the JawdonZo before leaving the ring.

Then it was time for the main event as, in a rematch from WWE TLC, Mickie James would challenge Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship. In the end, it was Alexa Bliss catching Mickie James with a right hand across the face, pinning Mickie for the win to successfully retain the RAW Women’s Title.

After Kurt Angle forced him to stay until the end of the show despite wanting to get out of the arena before Braun Strowman showed up, The Miz & The Miztourage were hastily making their way out of the arena backstage following the main event. The trio would breathe a sigh of relief once they make into The Miz’s limousine but, when the limo tries to pull forward, the drive puts on the brakes as a garbage truck is blocking the way. The garbage truck then backs up before garbage comes spilling out of the back of it and, as The Miz & The Miztourage try their best to escape the limo, Braun Strowman rises from the garbage pile like a monster from a horror movie! The Miz & The Miztourage then get out of the limo and hightail it from the scene with Braun sprinting across the roof of the limo in hot pursuit! The Miz and Curtis Axel then rush out to the stage to try and find some refuge from “The Monster Among Men” with Braun appearing after tossing Bo Dallas across the stage!

The Miztourage then try to gang up on Strowman to no avail as Braun easily takes out Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel before Braun gets his hands on the Intercontinental Champion, hurling The Miz into the LED screens on the stage. Braun then sets his sights on the RAW announce table, nearly putting The Miz through the table before The Miztourage intervenes again. Braun then tosses Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel down the ramp as The Miz tries to crawl to safety. However, Strowman grabs The Miz and tosses the Intercontinental Champion down the ramp as well. Braun then tosses The Miz into the ring before squashing The Miz in the corner with a big splash. The Miztourage then gets involved again, getting taken out by Braun before Braun lifts The Miz up for the running powerslam but Curtis Axel saves The Miz.

As The Miz quickly rolls out of the ring, Curtis Axel takes the bullet for The Miz as Strowman squashes Curtis Axel with the running powerslam. At the behest of the crowd, Braun would pick Curtis Axel up to deliver a second running powerslam! Braun then picks Axel up for a third running powerslam and, as The Miz watches on with a look of horror on his face, Braun picks Axel up for a fourth running powerslam! As The Miz and Bo Dallas flee for their lives, Braun Strowman tosses Curtis Axel out of the ring, carrying Axel up to the stage before delivering a fifth running powerslam, this time through the announce table! “The Monster Among Men” then stands on top of the destroyed table, having sent a clear message to the Intercontinental Champion that, sooner or later, Braun is going to get his hands on The Miz.

I’m a big fan of the Miz and have been so since he first came onto the scene on MTV. It’s been a pleasure watching him evolve and grow. The matchup between the Miz v. Hardy was the best of the group in my opinion.
