    Asuka 300617 10

    Detailed Results

After Sasha Banks picked up the win over Alicia Fox on the WWE TLC Kickoff, the ninth annual WWE TLC kicks off with the much-anticipated main roster debut of “The Empress of Tomorrow” as the undefeated, the unique, the longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion of all-time Asuka would arrive at WWE TLC as Asuka would make her main roster debut against Emma. While Emma would more than hold her own against Asuka in the match, “The Empress of Tomorrow” would prove too much for Emma as Asuka would catch Emma with a kick to the head before locking in the Asuka Lock, making Emma tap out to pick up an impressive victory in her main roster debut.

With 205 Live commentators Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness calling the action, the Cruiserweights were in tag team action at WWE TLC as Cedric Alexander & Rich Swann would face Gentleman Jack Gallagher & The Brian Kendrick. In the end, it was Cedric Alexander hitting The Brian Kendrick with the Lumber Check, pinning Kendrick to pick up the win for himself and Rich Swann.

The RAW Women’s Championship would then be on the line at WWE TLC as “The Goddess” Alexa Bliss would defend the RAW Women’s Title against six-time former champion Mickie James. Despite an impressive effort from Mickie James, it was Alexa Bliss feigning an injury to lure the challenger in, sending Mickie into the middle turnbuckle before spiking Mickie with the DDT, pinning Mickie to successfully retain the RAW Women’s Title. After the match, Mickie James was interviewed about the loss as Mickie admits that she is disappointed by the loss but she is proud of her performance, saying that she gave her “heart and soul”. Mickie then says that tonight will not be the last time that she will be in a title match, assuring everyone that she will be a champion again. Mickie then thanks the fans for supporting her before leaving the ring, defeated but not deterred.

In a rematch from a couple of weeks ago on RAW, Enzo Amore would get the opportunity to regain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship as Enzo would challenge new champion Kalisto for the WWE Cruiserweight Title at WWE TLC. During the match, Enzo Amore would nearly get caught with the Salida del Sol before Enzo tries to escape the ring. However, Kalisto would get a hold of Enzo and would try to pull him back into the center of the ring with Enzo pulling on the ring skirt. This would prove to all be part of Enzo’s plan as, with the referee fixing the ring skirt, the challenger would catch Kalisto with an illegal thumb to the eye. Enzo then follows this up with the JawdonZo, pinning Kalisto to win his second WWE Cruiserweight Title.

With Bray Wyatt unable to compete due to a viral infection, his illness would pave the way for an interpromotional dream match at WWE TLC as SmackDown LIVE’s AJ Styles would be allowed to make a one night only appearance on the RAW exclusive pay-per-view to go one-on-one with “The Demon” Finn Balor! During the fiercely competitive match, Finn Balor would knock AJ Styles to the outside but Finn would refuse to let the referee count AJ out, opting for a clean win against Styles. Finn would then exit the ring as AJ would pop up and tackle “The Demon”, sending both men careening over the German announce table. Both men would then make it back into the ring at the same time before Finn and AJ would both go for cross bodies, taking each other down. Finn and AJ would then get right back up with both competitors going for clotheslines, taking each other down a second time! Shortly after this, AJ Styles would miss his springboard 450 and Finn Balor would capitalize, delivering his dropkick into the corner before connecting with the Coup de Grace, pinning AJ Styles to pick up a hard-fought victory. After the match, Finn Balor would help AJ Styles to his feet before the two former Bullet Club leaders would too sweet each other in the ring with AJ leaving the ring, letting “The Demon” soak in his win.

After Jason Jordan twice interrupted Elias’ attempts at a performance earlier in the night by throwing produce at Elias, an impromptu match would take place at WWE TLC as Kurt Angle’s son Jason Jordan would go one-on-one with Elias. In the end, it was Jason Jordan surprising Elias with a roll-up and, despite Elias’ shoulder being up, the referee would make the three-count, giving Jason Jordan the questionable victory.

Then it was time for what was sure to be a memorable and destructive main event as, with tables, ladders, and chairs surrounding the ring, RAW Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins would team with WWE Hall of Famer and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, who would compete in a WWE ring for the first time in eleven years due to Roman Reigns being unable to compete due to a viral infection, as all three men would be decked out in Shield gear to face the daunting task of competing against Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane in a 5-on-3 Handicap Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match where tables, ladders, and chairs would be legal to use with the match only ending by pinfall or submission in the ring with no disqualifications and no count-outs!

With The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane ready to tear them apart, Kurt Angle, Dean Ambrose, & Seth Rollins would need something to help even the odds as all three men would surround the ring before grabbing steel chairs. Angle, Ambrose, & Rollins would then use their chairs to dominate the early going of the match, using the steel to wear down Kane. Ambrose & Rollins then dive to the outside to take down The Miz and Cesaro & Sheamus before Angle, Ambrose, & Rollins use a short ladder to level The Miz and Cesaro & Sheamus. Angle then uses the ladder to take Braun Strowman down before Angle, Ambrose, & Rollins triple team Kane with the ladder.

Ambrose & Rollins then expose the Spanish announce table before Cesaro & Sheamus jump back into the fight only for Ambrose & Rollins to take out the former champions. Braun Strowman then comes in like a freight train, taking out Angle, Ambrose, & Rollins before Ambrose & Rollins save Angle from going through the German announce table. Angle, Ambrose, & Rollins then put Kane and Strowman on the respective announce tables before setting up two ladders next to the tables. The fearless RAW Tag Team Champions then climb to the top of the ladders, simultaneously taking a leap of faith as Ambrose puts Kane through the Spanish announce table with an elbow drop while Rollins puts Strowman through the German announce table with a frog splash!

Kurt Angle then wears The Miz down with a steel chair before bringing the Intercontinental Champion into the ring but this is when Cesaro & Sheamus would enter the ring with chairs in hand, using the chairs to beat down the RAW General Manager. “The Bar” then drives a ladder into the mid-section of Angle and, just as The Miz and Cesaro & Sheamus are about to deliver the three-man powerbomb to Angle, Ambrose & Rollins make the save, leaving The Miz and Kurt Angle alone in the ring. This is when the WWE Hall of Famer would get the opportunity to prove that he can still go as Angle would deliver a trio of German suplexes to The Miz before suplexing Cesaro and Sheamus as well! Kane then re-enters the fray, grabbing Kurt and looking for a chokeslam but the GM is able to counter, locking Kane in the Ankle Lock!

Braun Strowman then intervenes, taking Kurt Angle to the outside, beating down the WWE Hall of Famer. Braun then grabs a table and sets it up on the outside before “The Monster Among Men” picks Kurt Angle up and drives the GM through the table with the running powerslam! Referees and medical personnel are quick to rush out to check on Kurt as Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins jump back into the fight but the RAW Tag Team Champions are quickly overwhelmed by The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane as the quintet are able to work together for the first time in the match as The Miz and Cesaro & Sheamus use chairs to wear down Ambrose & Rollins before bringing them back into the ring. As medical personnel try to help Kurt Angle to the back, the systematic destruction of Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins continues in the ring.

Cesaro & Sheamus then send Seth Rollins face-first into a steel chair wedged in the corner before sending Dean Ambrose into the corner as well. Cesaro then wears Ambrose out with a steel chair before The Miz takes his turn wearing out Ambrose and Sheamus takes his turn as well. Braun Strowman then charges at Seth Rollins in the corner but Rollins is able to get out of the way as Braun collides with the ring post. Ambrose & Rollins then do their best to fight back against the opposition before Kane grabs a steel chair, swinging the chair at Rollins, but Rollins would move and Kane would inadvertently hit Braun Strowman in the back with the chair! This would lead to a face-off between the two behemoths with Braun shoving Kane down before The Miz and Cesaro & Sheamus try to keep the peace amongst their teammates. Ambrose & Rollins then try to take advantage but are again overwhelmed by the five-on-two disadvantage.

Cesaro & Sheamus then isolate Dean Ambrose, setting up a table before “The Bar” tries to put Ambrose through the table with their double team Celtic Cross. However, the table does not break so Cesaro & Sheamus prop the table up in the corner so that Braun Strowman can do the honors of hurling Ambrose through the table! The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane then bring Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins up to the stage before The Miz calls for a garbage truck to be backed into the arena! The quintet then bring Ambrose & Rollins next to the stage, tossing the RAW Tag Team Champions in the back of the truck but Ambrose & Rollins would fight back before climbing to the top of the garbage truck and diving off of the truck, taking out Cesaro & Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane!

This leaves The Miz all alone against Ambrose & Rollins with the Intercontinental Champion trying to crawl away before Kane and Braun Strowman re-enter the fray with Braun saving Kane from going through a table. However, Kane would then deliver a right hand to the back of the head of Braun Strowman! Kane then grabs his tag partner by the throat before chokeslamming “The Monster Among Men” through the stage! Kane then stands over the hole in the stage before Braun manages to reach out of the abyss only for Kane to stare up at the set piece hanging overhead, a set piece that is comprised of several steel chairs! “The Big Red Machine” then pulls down the entire set piece, resulting in several steel chairs raining down and burying Braun Strowman!

With Braun Strowman out of commission, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins would try to battle The Miz & Kane but Kane would single-handedly overwhelm the RAW Tag Team Champions, chokeslamming Ambrose & Rollins through a table! Cesaro & Sheamus then drag Ambrose & Rollins over to the garbage truck but Cesaro & Sheamus and Kane are stopped in their tracks when they spot Braun Strowman rising from the rubble of the destroyed stage! Hell-bent on getting to Kane, Braun Strowman was in no mood for The Miz trying to calm him down as Braun would send The Miz into the LED board on the stage before taking out Cesaro & Sheamus as well! Braun then gets his hands on Kane, pummeling “The Big Red Machine” before picking Kane up for the running powerslam. However, Cesaro & Sheamus would come to the aid of Kane leading to The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, and Kane all assaulting their own tag team partner, putting the boots to Braun Strowman! The four men then put Braun in the back of the garbage truck before The Miz orders the sanitation worker to pull the lever to crush Strowman in the back of the truck!

Shocked at his own actions, The Miz would shoo the garbage truck away as the truck drives out of the arena. The Miz and Cesaro & Sheamus then isolate Seth Rollins in the ring before Dean Ambrose makes the save but Kane re-enters the fray as the four men are quick to beat Ambrose & Rollins down again. However, this is when Kurt Angle would return to the match, back-dropping Cesaro on the ramp before delivering the Angle Slam to Sheamus! The WWE Hall of Famer then grabs Cesaro, delivering the Angle Slam to Cesaro through a table!

Kane then gets his hands on Kurt Angle in the ring, setting the RAW General Manager up for the Tombstone Piledriver, but Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins would make the save with steel chairs. The RAW Tag Team Champions then bring Kane to the outside where both men would charge at Kane, sending themselves and “The Big Red Machine” crashing through the barricade! With Kurt vulnerable in the ring, The Miz would look to pick the bones of the WWE Hall of Famer, planting Angle with the Skull Crushing Finale but Angle would kick out! The Miz then sets Kurt up for the Skull Crushing Finale on a chair but Angle counters into the Ankle Lock with the Intercontinental Champion just managing to hang on before kicking Kurt away, sending the GM careening out of the ring.

Ambrose & Rollins then get back to their feet, leading to Angle, Ambrose, & Rollins surrounding The Miz. Rollins then hits The Miz with the King’s Landing before Ambrose spikes the Intercontinental Champion with Dirty Deeds and Kurt delivers the Angle Slam to The Miz! Ambrose & Rollins then hoist The Miz up so that the trio can deliver the Olympic Shield Bomb to The Miz as Kurt Angle pins the Intercontinental Champion to score the win for his team in a hellacious Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match! After the match, the WWE Hall of Famer and the RAW Tag Team Champions would celebrate together in the ring as, even on short notice, Kurt Angle proves that ring rust is just a myth for the Olympic gold medalist.
