Shield Seth Rollins Roman Reigns Dean Ambrose 07042014

    Detailed Results

With tables, ladders, and chairs adorning the stage and surrounding the ring in honor of this Sunday’s WWE TLC, RAW kicks off with RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. After reminding everyone of the 4-on-3 Handicap Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match pitting The Shield against The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, and Braun Strowman this Sunday night at WWE TLC, the GM is interrupted by the arrival of the newly reunited Shield as Roman Reigns and RAW Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins make their entrance through the crowd just like the old days, sporting their vintage Shield attire. “The Hounds of Justice” would slowly surround the ring, which makes Kurt Angle uneasy before The Shield enters the ring, surrounding Kurt before the GM hands over his microphone to Roman Reigns as a bit of a peace offering to the unpredictable. Roman says that Kurt made the right choice, saying that, when it comes to The Shield, you either leave their “yard” or “we beat your ass”.

Seth Rollins says that it feels good to be out there, saying that, five years ago, The Shield had their very first match at WWE TLC and they “dominated” every time they were in the ring together. Rollins then says that, one day, that all went away before saying that he is glad to stand in the ring with his “brothers” once again, proclaiming that The Shield is “back and better than ever”. Dean Ambrose then says that The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, and Braun Strowman should be “scared” because the “battle lines have been drawn” and they are going to war with the “masters”. Ambrose then says that he said last week that The Shield could take on four, five, or even six men and it wouldn’t matter, saying that, if he could go back in time, he would still say the exact same thing. Ambrose then says that no one “divides and conquers” like The Shield and there is “no force of nature on this Earth as powerful as The Shield”. Ambrose then calls out The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, and Braun Strowman to come down and fight them right now. This brings out The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, and Braun Strowman, as well as Curtis Axel, but Kurt Angle puts a halt to it, saying that, if Braun Strowman and Cesaro & Sheamus want their respective matches tonight, then they will stay put before vowing that “history” will be made tonight.

An entertaining concert by Elias and Gallows & Anderson is then interrupted by their opponents as Elias and Gallows & Anderson would face the team of Kurt Angle’s son Jason Jordan, Apollo Crews, and Titus O’Neil in a 6-Man Tag match. In the end, it was Apollo Crews hitting the spinning sitout powerbomb, pinning Karl Anderson to pick up the win for his team.

Before Cedric Alexander & Rich Swann face Gentleman Jack Gallagher & The Brian Kendrick at WWE TLC this Sunday night, Cedric Alexander would have Rich Swann in his corner as Cedric would go one-on-one with Jack Gallagher, with The Brian Kendrick in his corner. During the match, The Brian Kendrick would try to get involved, but Rich Swann would take Kendrick out with an impressive DDT on the floor. This would give Cedric Alexander the opportunity to hit the Lumbar Check on Jack Gallagher, pinning Gallagher to pick up the win.

Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Curtis Axel, and Cesaro & Sheamus would then make their way to the ring for Miz TV as a table, four chairs, and two ladders were set up in the ring for the occasion. The Miz says that, earlier tonight, Kurt Angle kept them from “shattering” The Shield but they weren’t going to do that because that would jeopardize Cesaro & Sheamus regaining the RAW Tag Team Titles. Sheamus then says that they are going to take back the RAW Tag Team Titles tonight before vowing to break Dean Ambrose’s back with a steel chair. Cesaro then says that he’s going to break Seth Rollins’ leg when he pushes Rollins off of a ladder. The Miz then says that he’s going to break Roman Reigns’ “spirit” when he puts Roman through a table. The Miz continues, saying that they’re “excited” about exposing The Shield for the “overhyped nostalgia act” that they are before saying that The Shield are “co-workers” while they are a “family” and there is “nothing” that he would not do for them.

The Intercontinental Champion then introduces his guest, “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman. Braun makes his way to the ring, saying that he would have “shattered” The Shield earlier tonight for putting him through the announce table last week. Braun then says that The Shield had to team up against him because none of them were able to handle him on their own before vowing to tear The Shield apart “piece-by-piece” until they are gone “forever”. Braun continues, saying that it starts tonight with Roman Reigns, saying that he and Roman are going to be locked in the Steel Cage so that Roman cannot “run away” from him. The Miz then mentions that Dean Ambrose said earlier that The Shield can take on “any four or five guys” before The Miz says that he accepts this challenge, trying to turn the match into a 5-on-3 Handicap Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match!

However, Kurt Angle interrupts, saying that he didn’t agree to a 5-on-3 match. Miz argues that Ambrose said that The Shield could take on four or five guys but the GM says that he doesn’t care what Ambrose said. The Miz continues to argue, saying that “words still matter”, urging Kurt to think about the main event that the GM could have if he puts The Shield in a position to have to go against all odds. Kurt then tells The Miz to “shut the hell up” before announcing that, if The Miz wants a fifth partner at WWE TLC, then Braun Strowman will have to beat Roman Reigns in the Steel Cage Match tonight. However, if Roman Reigns wins the Steel Cage Match tonight, then the match at WWE TLC will go back to being 3-on-3 as he will take Braun Strowman off of The Miz’s team! The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, and Curtis Axel then talk it over but Braun Strowman’s mind was already made up, telling the GM that he accepts the stipulation! Before heading to the back, Kurt Angle decrees that everyone will be banned from ringside for both the Steel Cage Match and the match for the RAW Tag Team Titles!

“The Boss” was in action on RAW as Sasha Banks would go one-on-one with Alicia Fox. In the end, it was Sasha Banks locking in the Bank Statement on Alicia Fox, making Alicia tap out to pick up the win.

Backstage, Sasha Banks is being interviewed about her win over Alicia Fox when a crazed Alicia Fox attacks Sasha from behind. Alicia repeatedly sends Sasha into some nearby anvil cases before a referee intervenes only for Alicia to shove the referee down! Two more referees then arrive on the scene, finally getting Alicia Fox to back off before the referees check on Sasha Banks.

One week after losing the WWE Cruiserweight Title to Kalisto in a Lumberjack Match on RAW, Enzo Amore would appear on RAW to address losing the title as well as his rematch for the title this Sunday at WWE TLC. Enzo says that he got “robbed” of the WWE Cruiserweight Title last week, calling Kurt Angle “corrupt” and saying that this isn’t a “conspiracy”. Enzo is then interrupted by the man who beat him for the title last week, the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion Kalisto. Kalisto says that Enzo can blame whoever he wants as long as it helps him sleep at night before saying that, at WWE TLC, there’s not going to be “no excuses” when he leaves as the champion. Enzo responds by asking why Kalisto is “standing on the tracks” before saying that the “zo train” is coming through.

With this, the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion is blindsided by Noam Dar, Tony Nese, Drew Gulak, & Ariya Daivari, who all put the boots to Kalisto while Enzo continues to trash talk Kalisto. Mustafa Ali then comes to the rescue, taking out Tony Nese and Drew Gulak on the outside before getting his hands on Enzo. However, it doesn’t take long for the new contingency to overwhelm Mustafa Ali, leading to a five-on-one beatdown before the quintet focus on Kalisto. Tony Nese then holds Kalisto up so Enzo can hit Kalisto with the JawdonZo before this new alliance leave the ring together.

As they, along with Roman Reigns, prepare to go to war with The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, and Braun Strowman in a 4-on-3 Handicap Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match this Sunday at WWE TLC, The Shield’s Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins would defend the RAW Tag Team Titles against Cesaro & Sheamus on RAW. At the end of a wild match, it was Seth Rollins delivering the King’s Landing to Cesaro before Dean Ambrose follows up with Dirty Deeds, pinning Cesaro to pick up the win as Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins successfully retain the RAW Tag Team Titles.

After bearing witness to the fabled Sister Abigail last week thanks to Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor would appear on RAW to respond to Bray Wyatt and Sister Abigail. Finn said that he thought that Sister Abigail was just another one of Bray Wyatt’s “tricks” before saying that he felt last week that Sister Abigail is “real”. Finn then says that he’s got his “tricks” too, saying that he will “slay a monster with a demon” of his own. Flashing back and forth between Finn Balor and “Demon” Finn Balor, Finn says that he’s “dying” to meet Sister Abigail before “Demon” Finn tells Bray Wyatt and Sister Abigail to “run”.

Before she defends the RAW Women’s Championship against Mickie James this Sunday at WWE TLC, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss would team up with Emma, who will face the debuting Asuka at WWE TLC, to face the team of Mickie James and Bayley. In the end, it was Mickie James catching Alexa Bliss with the Mick Kick, pinning the RAW Women’s Champion to pick up the win for her team.

Backstage, after being encouraged to pick a fight with Roman Reigns by Cesaro & Sheamus and Braun Strowman, a determined Curtis Axel would search the backstage area looking for “The Big Dog”. However, Curtis Axel not only stumbles across Roman Reigns, but Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins as well but decides to confront all three members of The Shield on his own anyways!

Unaware of Curtis Axel’s endeavor, The Miz meets up with Cesaro & Sheamus and Braun Strowman in the locker room, praising Braun Strowman and exuding confidence about their match against The Shield. The Intercontinental Champion then notices that Curtis Axel isn’t there and asks where Axel is at. Sheamus says that Curtis Axel might single-handedly be destroying The Shield as they speak. Perplexed, The Miz looks to Braun Strowman to an explanation, who tells The Miz that Curtis Axel said he wanted to beat up Roman Reigns so he told him to go do it. Exasperated, The Miz excuses himself to presumably go and check on Curtis Axel.

The Miz would then find Curtis Axel as Axel is hanging upside down from a forklift with his upper body red and beaten. Referees then arrive on the scene, looking for a forklift driver while The Miz questions Curtis Axel to try and figure out who is responsible for the attack. As referees and medical personnel tend to Curtis Axel, The Miz is asked about who will be the fifth man on his team should Braun Strowman win tonight now that Curtis Axel might be unable to compete at WWE TLC. The Miz then reveals that, even though they think “the world” of Curtis Axel, Axel was never going to be the fifth man!

Then it was time for the main event as longtime rivals would look to settle the score locked inside the unforgiving Steel Cage as “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage Match where the first competitor to either score a pinfall or submission or escape the cage, either through the door or over the top, with both feet touching the floor, will win the match. However, the Steel Cage Match would have major WWE TLC implications as, if Roman Reigns wins, then Braun Strowman will be removed from the Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match at WWE TLC, evening the match up at 3-on-3 but, if Braun Strowman wins, then the match will become a 5-on-3 match with The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, and Braun Strowman getting another partner. Plus, as decreed by RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, everyone would be banned from ringside for the match.

During a hard-hitting match between the two powerhouses, Roman Reigns would manage to take Braun Strowman down with a big Samoan Drop but, when Roman fails to get the three-count, “The Big Dog” decides to try and climb out of the Steel Cage. However, despite Kurt Angle banning anyone from being at ringside, Cesaro & Sheamus would rush out to stop Roman Reigns, scaling the cage. This would bring out Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins, who pull Cesaro & Sheamus down off of the cage, sparking a brawl on the outside between the two teams. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns continues to climb over the top of the cage but Braun Strowman is able to grab Reigns at the last minute, delivering a huge superplex to “The Big Dog” off of the top rope, but Reigns is still able to kick out! On the outside, the fight between Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins and Cesaro & Sheamus spills to the backstage area. This is when The Miz would sneakily shut the metal door, trapping all four men, including his tag team partners at WWE TLC, in the backstage area!

Meanwhile, the Steel Cage Match continues in the ring as Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman get back to their feet. Roman again tries to climb out of the cage, but Braun stops him before Braun tries to climb out only for Reigns to hang Strowman up on the top rope. With “The Monster Among Men” vulnerable, Roman would deliver the Superman Punch to Strowman before delivering a second Superman Punch. “The Big Dog” then sizes Strowman up for the Spear, but Braun lifts Reigns up into the air only for Roman to come back down with a third Superman Punch, falling into the pin but Braun kicks out! Roman then once again sizes Braun up for the Spear but, this time, Reigns is halted by a mysterious red and orange light as the unmistakable entrance music of “The Big Red Machine” himself, Kane, blares in the arena. While the music plays and the arena remains bathed in the red and orange glow, Braun squashes Roman in the corner with a big splash before going for a second splash. However, “The Big Dog” bursts out of the corner with a huge Spear to Strowman, leaving both competitors down in the ring!

To the shock of everyone, especially Roman Reigns, Kane would indeed rise again as “The Big Red Machine” would emerge from a hole in the ring, staring down “The Big Dog”! Roman then tries to take Kane down with the Superman Punch, but Kane catches Reigns and drills Roman with a chokeslam before picking Roman up and chokeslamming him a second time! By this time, Braun Strowman was back on his feet and, as Kane looks on, Braun would pick up the prone Roman, delivering the running powerslam to “The Big Dog” before Kane picks Reigns up and spikes Roman with the Tombstone Piledriver! Braun then picks Reigns up yet again to deliver a second running powerslam, this time pinning Roman for the win. Having cemented some sort of unholy alliance, Kane and Braun Strowman then stand side-by-side over the fallen Roman Reigns. Now seated on top of a ladder on the stage, The Miz announces that the fifth member of his team is none other than Kane, meaning it will be The Shield going up against the team of The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane in a 5-on-3 Handicap Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match this Sunday at WWE TLC, putting The Shield at near impossible odds!
