Top 5 AJ Styles moments in WWE (so far)Posted on May 8, 2016 by Justin Lake WWEShare On: Tweet “The Phenomenal One” has wrestled all around the world for almost 20 years, but he’s finally making a splash in “the big leagues.” Let’s take a look at his top 5 moments so far in WWE! 5) Y2AJ After a short, respectful feud Styles partnered up with Chris Jericho and all looked well for them as a tag team going into Wrestlemania. They had a clunky team name and everything! Then that dirty heel Jericho just couldn’t keep his ego in check and attacked AJ post-match on an episode of Raw. So many Y2AJ “Code Breaking And Risk Taking” shirts wasted. 4) Wrestlemania Seeing Styles on the “The Showcase of the Immortals” gave me goosebumps. This was one of the better matches on the card, but he and Y2J had a better match on Smackdown and WWE didn’t put the right guy over. Had AJ won this might’ve been higher on the list. 3) Main Eventing His First PPV AJ and Roman Reigns put on a heck of a show at Payback. The match showcased how great Styles is in big matches while also being a spotlight for Reigns to show once again that he can hang with the best of them bell to bell. This moment would be higher if not for the overbooking nonsense all to create more drama in the McMahon storyline. A “New Era” indeed. 2) Debut at Royal Rumble As big as all those moments were this is the moment AJ Styles was introduced to the wider WWE audience. The building exploded when the words “I am Phenomenal” came up on the Titantron. They went even crazier when Styles stepped foot on the stage. Too bad the person working the switch in the truck decided to hold on Reign’s face instead of cutting to a magical moment. All of us watching at home still felt the magic, but had to go to YouTube after the show to see fan videos of the AJ stepping in front of said electric crowd. 1) Number 1 Contender What a great match. Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, AJ Styles and the surprise return of Cesaro. These four put on a clinic and the right guy won. AJ getting emotional post-match while the crowd chanted “You Deserve It” was the icing on the cake. Almost twenty years of work led to this phenomenal moment and that’s why it’s the #1 AJ Styles Moment in WWE…so far. That’s Lake’s take, what’s yours?
