    Chris Jericho 3 040715

    Detailed Results

After taking full advantage of a Fatal 5-Way Match for the Intercontinental Championship made by Stephanie McMahon on RAW to become the new Intercontinental Champion, Kevin Owens would be a guest on commentary as his Fastlane challenger Dolph Ziggler would join forces with The Lucha Dragons, Sin Cara & United States Champion Kalisto, to face League of Nations’ members Sheamus, Rusev, & Alberto Del Rio, with King Barrett in their corner, in a 6-Man Tag match. At the end of a wild match, Dolph Ziggler would dominate the match, but that is when Kevin Owens would get on the ring apron, distracting Dolph Ziggler long enough for Sheamus to take advantage, hitting the Brogue Kick and pinning Dolph for the win.

Before she teams with Becky Lynch to face Naomi & Tamina this Sunday at Fastlane, “The Boss” was in action on SmackDown as Sasha Banks would go one-on-one with Tamina, with Naomi in her corner. During the match, Naomi would get on the ring apron, but Sasha would knock Naomi down before locking in the Bank Statement, making Tamina tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Naomi would blindside Sasha before Naomi pummels “The Boss” with right hands and the beat down would continue until Becky Lynch runs out to make the save, sending Naomi & Tamina packing. Becky then helps Sasha to her feet, but Sasha shoves Becky away, telling her Fastlane partner that she doesn’t need her help.

After getting challenged to a rematch with AJ Styles at Fastlane, Chris Jericho would be on SmackDown as the six-time former World Champion would answer AJ Styles’ challenge. Before giving his answer, Chris Jericho says that he wants to respond to the challenge to AJ Styles’ face, calling out “The Phenomenal One”. However, The Miz comes out instead, who enters the ring, saying that he has an announcement of his own. The Miz then makes his “major announcement” as The Miz informs Jericho that they have a scheduled match right now.

With AJ Styles’ challenge for a rematch at Fastlane still unanswered, Chris Jericho was in action on SmackDown as “Y2J” would go one-on-one with The Miz. At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Chris Jericho locking in the Walls of Jericho, making The Miz tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Chris Jericho picks up where he left off before The Miz’s interruption, calling AJ Styles out to answer Styles’ challenge to his face. This time, “The Phenomenal One” would make his way to the ring, ready to hear Jericho’s answer.

Jericho tells AJ that “you’re only as good as your last match”, reminding him that he beat Styles in their last one-on-one match. Jericho then says that he understands that AJ is trying to make a name for himself in WWE, but he is going to have to do it with someone else. As Styles looks at Jericho in disbelief, Jericho says that he “respects” AJ, but he doesn’t “like” him so he doesn’t feel like doing Styles any “favors”. Jericho then makes sure to drive the point home, saying that his answer is “no”. However, AJ wouldn’t take “no” for an answer as Styles hits Jericho with a series of right hands before sending Jericho out of the ring. Then, when a seething Jericho gets back on the ring apron, Styles tosses the microphone to Jericho and, this time, “Y2J” accepts AJ’s challenge to a rematch at Fastlane! Jericho then tells Styles that AJ is going to “regret it”, leaving AJ with something to think about before Fastlane.

Before she defends the Divas Championship against Brie Bella this Sunday at Fastlane, Divas Champion Charlotte, with her father Ric Flair in her corner, would go one-on-one with Natalya in a non-title match. In the end, it was Charlotte locking in the Figure-Eight, making Natalya tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Charlotte would mock her Fastlane opponent by doing Brie and Daniel Bryan’s “yes” chant, but Brie Bella would rush out, attacking the Divas Champion and nearly hitting the running knee before Ric Flair pulls her daughter out of the ring, rescuing Charlotte for the time being. Brie Bella then grabs the Divas Title belt, celebrating with the prize that may belong to her after Fastlane.

Three nights before they, along with Brock Lesnar, compete in a Triple Threat Match at Fastlane to determine who will challenge Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania, “brothers-in-arms” Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose would face The Dudley Boyz in tag team action. During the match, Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose had things well in hand with Reigns about to deliver the Superman Punch to D-Von Dudley, but that is when Brock Lesnar would show up. With Paul Heyman by his side, “The Beast” would make his way to the ring, but with Reigns & Ambrose’s attention on Brock, The Dudley Boyz would strike, attacking Reigns & Ambrose from behind. The Dudley Boyz would then look for the 3-D on Roman Reigns, but Roman would fight back with a Superman Punch to D-Von before Bubba Ray takes Reigns down with a big boot. However, Ambrose then takes flight, taking Bubba Ray out with an elbow off of the top rope before diving to the outside, taking out D-Von.

This would provide the perfect opening for Brock Lesnar to strike as “The Beast” delivers a knee to Ambrose, tossing “The Lunatic Fringe” into the barricade. Roman Reigns then pounces on Lesnar as Reigns & Ambrose work together to try and fell “The Beast”, but when Reigns rolls Brock into the ring, Lesnar would create some distance before snapping off a suplex to Roman Reigns, followed up with a suplex to Dean Ambrose. Lesnar then turns right around into the Superman Punch from Roman Reigns before Roman looks for the Spear, but Brock dodges Roman and Reigns inadvertently collides with Ambrose! However, as soon as Roman looks away, Ambrose again tries to surprise Reigns with Dirty Deeds, but Roman counters with a Samoan Drop.

Before Roman can even process what just happened, Brock Lesnar jumps on Reigns, leveling Roman with the F-5! “The Beast” then surveys the damage left in the ring with a smile on his face before Brock Lesnar exits the ring, but that is when WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H would come out to the stage with the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt over his shoulder, reminding all three Triple Threat Match participants what is at stake this Sunday night at Fastlane.
