    Wwe 2011 Sheamus

    Detailed Results

The sixth annual WWE Money-in-the-Bank kicks off in a huge way with the event’s namesake as “The Viper” Randy Orton, “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville, The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane, “The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler, New Day member and WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus, and “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns would all wage war in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match where all seven Superstars would use ladders and any means necessary to climb up and retrieve the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase hanging high above the ring with its winner earning themselves a guaranteed shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship any time they want for the next year. The match kicks off with six of the seven Superstars brawling with each other while Kofi Kingston slides out of the ring and retrieves a ladder, setting it up in the ring. This is when the scramble would begin as the seven men take turns trying to race up the ladder and get the briefcase with none of them succeeding. Kane and Sheamus would then clear the ring of the other five competitors, leaving the two big men to square off. Sheamus would try to climb the ladder, but Kane would knock “The Celtic Warrior” down before Dolph Ziggler enters the fray, taking Kane out with a DDT before trying to climb the ladder. Sheamus pulls Dolph off of the ladder, planting “The Showoff” with White Noise before using a ladder to take down Randy Orton and Kane. “The Celtic Warrior” then brings Randy Orton to the outside, sending Orton into the barricade. With Sheamus’ attention on destruction on the outside, Kofi Kingston would again try to sneak up the ladder to retrieve the briefcase, but Sheamus would stop Kofi just in time. Sheamus then sets up a ladder in the corner with the intention of slamming Kofi on the steel, but Kingston would battle back, taking Sheamus out with Trouble in Paradise.

The WWE Tag Team Champion then tries to climb the ladder again, but Neville intervenes with both high flyers battling atop the ladder before Roman Reigns gets involved, knocking both Superstars off of the ladder and using the ladder to take Neville out for the time being. Reigns then picks Kingston up, drilling Kofi with a powerbomb on top of the ladder in the corner! Roman then picks off Neville, drilling Neville with a powerbomb right on top of Kofi, who was still lying prone on the ladder! Roman then tries to climb the ladder, but Kane stops him, delivering a chokeslam to Reigns. The Director of Operations then starts his climb, but Randy Orton comes in and drops Kane with the RKO before “The Viper” hits the RKO on Kofi Kingston as well. Neville then tries to climb, but Orton pulls Neville off of the ladder, catching Neville in mid-air with another RKO! Sheamus then comes back into the ring, stopping Orton’s ascent up the ladder, sparking a brawl between the familiar rivals with “The Celtic Warrior” getting the better of the encounter, shoving Orton face-first into the ladder and following it up with the Brogue Kick. Sheamus then heads up the ladder, but Dolph Ziggler quickly scrambles up the other side of the ladder as both men trade blows before Sheamus tries for White Noise, but “The Showoff” counters, sacrificing himself to take Sheamus out with a Zig Zag off of the top of the ladder! With Sheamus in perfect position, Neville would take to the air, coming off of the top rope with the Red Arrow on “The Celtic Warrior”!

Neville and Dolph Ziggler then battle at the top of the ladder with Neville twice bouncing Dolph’s head off of the ladder, knocking Ziggler off of his perch. Kane then tries to take Neville out, but Dolph takes Kane out with a super kick. Neville and Ziggler then decide to work together, but the plan would backfire as Kane would use the ladder to take out both men. Roman Reigns then catches Kane with the Superman Punch, knocking Kane to the outside before Roman dives to the outside, taking out all six of his opponents, as well as himself! This is when Big E & Xavier Woods would come out, helping Kofi Kingston to his feet and sliding a ladder in to Kofi. As Kingston slowly climbs the ladder, Roman Reigns takes out both Big E & Xavier Woods with his flying dropkick. Reigns then pulls Kofi Kingston off of the ladder, tossing Kofi over the top rope, taking out The New Day and five of his adversaries on the outside! Randy Orton then tries for an RKO on Reigns, but Reigns fights back, delivering the Spear to Orton! Roman Reigns then climbs the ladder, but just when it looks like Reigns is going to retrieve the briefcase and win the match, Bray Wyatt inexplicably appears! The self-proclaimed “New Face of Fear” tips the ladder over before planting Roman with Sister Abigail in the middle of the ring! Bray Wyatt then exits the ring, walking past the carnage on the outside of the ring before Sheamus slides into the ring, setting up a ladder and coming within moments of retrieving the briefcase. Neville then climbs the ladder on the other side, trying his best to combat Sheamus, but “The Celtic Warrior” would rip Neville off of the top of the ladder before unhooking the briefcase, winning the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match to become the 2015 “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”, earning Sheamus a guaranteed shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at any time in the coming year.

With the promise of bringing “change” to the Divas division, the Divas Championship would be on the line at Money-in-the-Bank as Paige would challenge Nikki Bella for the top prize in the Divas division. During the match, the two Divas would go hold-for-hold with Nikki Bella surviving the PTO before Paige hits the Ram Paige on Nikki, but the champion would kick out! Both Divas then battle on the top rope with both Divas taking a fall to the floor and, with the referee’s back turned, Twin Magic would strike again as Brie Bella rolls her sister Nikki under the ring, taking her sister’s place in the ring. Brie would then attempt a roll-up under this ruse, but Paige would counter, scoring the three-count to seemingly become the Divas Champion. However, once Brie Bella reveals the ruse to the referee, the referee reverses the decision. A rightfully angry Paige would respond to this by blasting Brie with a kick to the face. With the match inexplicably still in progress despite Brie Bella’s interference, Paige would turn around into a stiff forearm by Nikki Bella, who follows it up with the Rack Attack, pinning Paige to retain the Divas Title under the most dubious of circumstances.

With The Miz a guest on commentary, the Intercontinental Championship would be defended at Money-in-the-Bank as “The Big Guy” Ryback would defend the prestigious gold for the first time against “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show. As soon as the match begins, Ryback would nearly beat Big Show in record time, hitting the Meat Hook Clothesline on “The World’s Largest Athlete”, but Big Show would avoid Shell Shocked before the fight spills to the outside. This is when Ryback would target The Miz, pulling Miz out of his seat and tossing Miz over the announce table! Ryback then heads back into the ring where he walks right into a Spear by Big Show as Big Show takes control of the match. Later on in the match, Ryback would weaken Big Show with an armbar before managing a suplex on “The World’s Largest Athlete”. Ryback would then go for another Meat Hook Clothesline, but Big Show would counter, delivering a chokeslam to “The Big Guy”. Big Show then follows this up with the Knockout Punch to Ryback as Ryback falls to the outside. Big Show then keeps The Miz at bay before rolling Ryback back into the ring, but this is when The Miz strikes, attacking Big Show with a microphone to end the match by disqualification. The Miz then delivers a couple of microphone shots to Ryback before walking to the back, leaving Ryback and Big Show down in the ring. Both men then make their way to their feet with both Superstars clearly unhappy with how The Miz ruined their title match.

After a major victory over John Cena at WWE Elimination Chamber, Kevin Owens would walk into Money-in-the-Bank with all the confidence in the world as the brash NXT Champion would go one-on-one with United States Champion John Cena one more time. In a hotly contested matchup where both men would pull out all the stops with John Cena even hitting the Attitude Adjustment, but Kevin Owens would kick out. The NXT Champion then hits a big sit-out powerbomb on Cena, but the United States Champion would kick out and Owens would look for the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Cena would counter with a hurrincanrana and Owens would pop up with a kick to the face of Cena. Later on in the match, Owens would go for a moonsault, but Cena would move out of the way, scoring with another Attitude Adjustment, but the NXT Champion would kick out again. Cena then sets Owens up for a superplex, but Owens counters with a big superplex of his own and, after Cena kicks out, Cena locks Owens in the STF, but Owens manages to get to the ropes. The United States Champion then busts out a modified Sunset Flip powerbomb, but Owens kicks out of that before the NXT Champion scores with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, only for Cena to kick out! Shortly after this, Cena would hit the springboard Stunner, following it up with the Attitude Adjustment, finally keeping Owens down for the three-count to pick up the win. After the incredible rematch, Kevin Owens would pull himself to his feet, coming face-to-face with John Cena, who hands Owens his NXT Title belt before offering a handshake to the NXT Champion. Owens would surprisingly accept the handshake before unsurprisingly kicking the United States Champion in the gut. Cena then rolls to the outside and Owens would follow, picking Cena up and delivering a vicious powerbomb to Cena on the ring apron! Owens then holds the NXT Title up high in the ring, before exiting the ring, laughing maniacally about his heinous actions and referees and WWE physicians tend to John Cena, who has to be helped to the back.

The WWE Tag Team Championship would then be on the line as The New Day’s Big E & Xavier Woods would defend the gold against The Prime Time Players. In the end, the even matchup would prove to be detrimental to The New Day as Titus O’Neil hits the Clash of the Titus on Xavier Woods, pinning Woods as The Prime Time Players become the brand new WWE Tag Team Champions!

Backstage, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is confronted by Director of Operations Kane and J&J Security. Kane gleefully tells the champion that he has been waiting for this moment since WrestleMania, telling Rollins that he has dug his own “grave” and now he has to lie in it. Rollins then runs into Triple H & Stephanie McMahon as Stephanie says that they are behind him, saying that the entire future of WWE is on the shoulders of Seth Rollins and, if Dean Ambrose wins the title tonight, then they have no one to blame but Rollins! Triple H then tells the champion that this is what he wanted, to stand on his own two feet, telling Rollins to “show them” why he choose him and show them why he is the “man” and why he is the champion, telling Rollins to “show them all”.

Then it was time for the main event as, after alienating The Authority in recent weeks, Seth Rollins would go it alone to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose in a Ladder Match, where the first man to climb a ladder and retrieve the title belt hanging high above the ring will walk out as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The early portion of the match would remain rather tame, but it would not take long for the ladder to be introduced in the match as Dean Ambrose would try to bring a ladder into the ring, propping it up against the ring apron and Ambrose would use the ladder as a weapon, sending the steel into the head of the champion. Ambrose then sets up the ladder in the middle of the ring before both men scramble to try and make it up the ladder before “The Lunatic Fringe” sends Rollins face-first into the ladder. With the ladder now propped up in the corner, both Superstars would try to avoid contact with the ladder, but Ambrose would get the better of the situation, using a double underhook suplex to slam Rollins on the ladder. Ambrose then stands the ladder up in the corner, paying tribute to “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes by hitting the Bionic Elbow off the ladder. Ambrose then climbs the ladder, but Seth Rollins comes in with a steel chair, using it to assault the left knee of Ambrose. Keeping his focus on the knee, the champion would wrench on Ambrose’s knee in the corner before ramming the ladder into the knee. Rollins then continues the punishment, slamming the ladder shut on the leg of Dean Ambrose.

Now in firm control of the match, Seth Rollins takes the time to bully Dean Ambrose and, while Ambrose would get a few shots in, Rollins would again target the knee, ramming the injured leg into the steel ring post before using a modified Figure 4-Lock around the post, further hobbling Ambrose. Trying to further incapacitate “The Lunatic Fringe”, Rollins would lock in the Figure-4 Leg Lock on Ambrose in the ring with Ambrose managing to roll out of the move. With Ambrose hung up in the corner, Rollins would again bring a steel chair into the ring, delivering an open shot to the left knee of Ambrose. With the challenger still hanging upside down in the corner, Rollins would deliver a double stomp to the chest of Ambrose before the champion sets up the ladder in the middle of the ring. Rollins makes his way up the ladder, but Ambrose somehow hobbles towards the ladder, tipping it over and hanging Rollins up on the top rope. Somehow making a comeback, Ambrose would briefly take it to the champion before Rollins cracks Ambrose in the head with the ladder. Rollins then closes the ladder on Ambrose’s knee again before delivering two vicious chair shots to the injured knee wrapped in steel. The champion then climbs to the top rope, but Ambrose is able to get to his feet, hurling the chair at Rollins’ head! Shortly after this, with Seth Rollins perched on the top rope, Ambrose would waylay the champion with a clothesline from the second turnbuckle. Bad knee and all, the challenger would muster the strength to take Rollins to the outside with a clothesline. Rollins then lures Ambrose up the entrance, sending Ambrose face-first into the barricade before rushing back to the ring, tossing the ladder out of the ring and narrowly missing Ambrose before “The Lunatic Fringe” scores with another clothesline to the champion. The fight then spills out into the crowd where Rollins sends Ambrose face-first into a steel barricade. Having created distance between himself and Ambrose, Rollins would make his way back to ringside, pulling a ladder out from under the ring.

Unfortunately for the champion, Rollins would have a difficult time with the ladder this difficulty would give Ambrose time to get back to ringside as “The Lunatic Fringe” launches himself at Rollins. Ambrose then props the ladder up between the ring apron and the announce table before both men head back into the ring with both champion and challenger trying to send their opponent onto the ladder on the outside. It would be Ambrose who would ultimately win this battle as “The Lunatic Fringe” sends the champion flying over the top rope right onto the ladder as the ladder buckles and nearly breaks in half! Ambrose then pulls another ladder out from under the ring, managing to set the ladder up before slowly climbing up the ladder. Seth Rollins then makes it back into the ring, but Ambrose catches the champion with a hurrincanrana that takes both men to the outside. “The Lunatic Fringe” then takes Rollins over the Spanish announce table before both champion and challenger climb on top of the table, battling for the advantage with Ambrose avoiding the Pedigree and scoring with Dirty Deeds on the table! Worse for wear, Ambrose drags himself off of the Spanish announce table and back into the ring, slowly pulling himself up the ladder, but just when Ambrose gets his hands on the title belt, Rollins rushes the ring with a television monitor, smashing it into the knee of Dean Ambrose! The weary Seth Rollins then climbs the ladder, but Ambrose is somehow able to stop Rollins’ ascent, but Rollins would drill Ambrose with the Pedigree before again making the climb.

Somehow, “The Lunatic Fringe” is again able to get to his feet, pulling the champion off of the ladder and tossing Rollins out of the ring. Ambrose then follows Rollins to the outside where Rollins sends “The Lunatic Fringe” face-first into the half-broken ladder. Then, with the destruction of Dean Ambrose on his mind, Seth Rollins would deliver a powerbomb to Ambrose into the ringside barricade before picking “The Lunatic Fringe” up again and tossing Ambrose into the barricade a second time! With the challenger out of it on the floor, Rollins would pull several steel chairs out from under the ring, piling them on top of a ladder before picking Ambrose up and delivering a running sit-out powerbomb onto the steel concoction! Rollins then buries Ambrose under the ladder and chairs before climbing the ladder in the ring, but with inhuman resiliency, Ambrose would somehow make it back into the ring, climbing up the ladder behind Rollins. With both men fighting to knock the other off of the ladder, both men would grab the title belt and both champion and challenger would fall to the mat with the title belt in their grasp, but when Rollins and Ambrose hit the mat, the punishment taken by Ambrose would prevent Ambrose from being able to keep his grip on the title belt and Rollins would manage to keep his grasp on the title belt and, as a result, Seth Rollins is declared the winner and still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion! After the match, Seth Rollins would make it to his feet and WWE COO Triple H would celebrate with his hand-picked champion, raising the hand of Seth Rollins as Rollins holds the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt high as Triple H applauds the champion as Dean Ambrose looks on with disbelief, having come so close to winning the title. In a post-match interview, Seth Rollins says “I told you so” before saying that he’s the best Superstar that WWE has got and he is the “greatest WWE World Heavyweight Champion of all-time”. The champion then stands tall with the WWE World Heavyweight Title over his shoulder as Triple H continues to applaud his champion.
