    WWE Extreme Rules 2015 Results

    Wrestlemania 31 Seth Rollins Shock

    Controversy in the Cage.

For the ninth year in a row, the fallout from WrestleMania would be handled in an ‘extreme’ manner as the ninth annual WWE Extreme Rules came to you, live on the WWE Network, from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. WrestleMania 31 was undoubtedly the biggest night in the career of Seth Rollins as Rollins became the first and only Superstar in history to cash in the Money-in-the-Bank on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”, turning the one-on-one match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns into a Triple Threat Match. On that fateful night, Seth Rollins would shock the world to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but before he made history, Seth Rollins was defeated by Randy Orton earlier that same night. This is a fact that “The Viper” has not forgotten and, after winning a Triple Threat Match on RAW to become the new #1 Contender, Randy Orton will challenge Seth Rollins in a Steel Cage Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules. However, this would not be an ordinary Steel Cage Match as, while Randy Orton’s stipulation was for the two of them to be surrounded by steel to prevent interference from The Authority, Seth Rollins’ stipulation was that Orton’s signature RKO would be banned for the duration of the match! In addition, it was announced by WWE COO Triple H this past Monday night on RAW that Kane will be the “Gatekeeper” for the Steel Cage Match, meaning Kane will have ultimate control over who can enter and who can exit the steel cage!

While the WWE World Heavyweight Championship would be contested in the confines of a steel cage, the United States Championship would be on the line with a steel chain tying two competitors together as John Cena defends the United States Championship against the man he defeated at WrestleMania to win the title, Rusev, in the first ever television Russian Chain Match in WWE history! In this barbaric match, John Cena and Rusev will be tied to each other with a steel chain with both men able to legally use the chain as a weapon. The only way to win this match as by beating your opponent to the point that you can drag him behind you and touch all four corners of the ring in succession and the first man to do so will walk out as the United States Champion.

Since coming within an eyelash of defeating Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, one giant has repeatedly stood in the way of Roman Reigns’ climb back to the top as “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show has made it his personal mission to keep Roman Reigns as far away from the title picture as possible and, at Extreme Rules, Roman Reigns would have the unenviable task of colliding with Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match, where a Superstar must incapacitate their opponent to the point that they cannot get to their feet by the referee’s count of ten.

At WrestleMania, Luke Harper would break a ladder in half using Dean Ambrose’s body and, a few nights later on SmackDown, Harper would powerbomb Ambrose through the announce table. Never one to back down from a fight, “The Lunatic Fringe” has sought revenge on the bearded enigma and, at Extreme Rules, these two unhinged Superstars would go one-on-one in a Chicago Street Fight, where anything is legal and no one can be counted out.

The most unusual match stipulation of the night would most certainly go to the one-on-one match between Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus as “The Show-Off” would face “The Celtic Warrior” in a Kiss Me Arse Match, where the loser will be forced to kiss the ‘arse’ of the winner!

A couple of weeks ago on RAW in her home country of England, Paige would win a Divas Battle Royal to become the new #1 Contender for the Divas Championship, but a frustrated Naomi would ambush Paige, assaulting the #1 Contender and putting Paige out of action for an undetermined amount of time. Naomi’s attack would ultimately yield big results as Naomi would be selected to replace Paige in the title match and, at Extreme Rules, Naomi would challenge Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship.

This past Monday night on RAW, The New Day would use some underhanded tactics to defeat The Lucha Dragons to become the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles and, at Extreme Rules, Big E & Kofi Kingston of The New Day would challenge Cesaro & Tyson Kidd for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
