In a press release put out by WWE , Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford from the fourth hour of NBC’s Today will be guest stars on this week’s Monday Night Raw.
They will be appearing to show support for WWE’s dedication to Susan G. Komen and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Kotb and Gifford will also have John Cena as a guest on the Today show in the Fourth Hour to “give them a pep talk to prepare for the show.”
Stephanie McMahon gave her thoughts on the special appearance:
“WWE is thrilled to have Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb and Joan Lunden join Monday Night Raw to help shine a light on the battle against breast cancer. These women continue to be a voice for the millions that are affected by this devastating disease. We are honored to have their support in raising awareness and funds to continue the fight.”
Journalist Joan Lunden will be ringside as a special guest along with other breast cancer survivors. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is Today’s special #PinkPower correspondent for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Both Kobb and Gifford commented on appearing on the show:
“We’ve been wrestling every day at 10AM in our own ring for the past seven years, and it gets down and dirty. So bring it on!”
