Last Friday’s edition of WWE Smackdown scored a 1.74 rating. This rating was down from the previous week’s 1.86 rating. The show averaged 2.318 million viewers, down from last week’s 2.631 million viewers. The main event was The Big Show vs. Rusev. The show also featured a Battle Royal to crown a number one contender for the Intercontinental title that was won by Cesaro.
He would later face Dolph Ziggler, losing after the referee did not see him grab the bottom rope. Also on the show, The Rhode Brothers defended their Tag Team Titles against The Usos, but were DQ’d after breaking up a pin attempt.
This is the worst number they have done since the show aired on the July 4 holiday.
