The 89th edition of WWE Main Event came to you from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH. After The Usos and Luke Harper & Erick Rowan got involved in the one-on-one match between Sheamus and Bray Wyatt on RAW, the featured attraction would be a 6-Man Tag Match as United States Champion Sheamus would team with WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos to face all three members of The Wyatt Family.
- Rusev (with Lana) def. Santino Marella by submission to the Accolade.
- Non-Title: Naomi (with Cameron) def. Paige by pin following a modified inverted DDT.
- 6-Man Tag: The Wyatt Family def. Sheamus & The Usos by Bray Wyatt pinning Jimmy Uso following the Sister Abigail.
Seth Rollins opened Main Event and made the announcement that there will be a traditional Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match at Money-in-the-Bank a week from Sunday where seven competitors will compete in a ladder match with the first Superstar to climb the ladder and retrieve the briefcase hanging above the ring will earn a guaranteed shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at any time they see fit for the next year. Following this announcement, Seth Rollins revealed that he will be entered in the match. In his weekly WWE.com interview, WWE COO Triple H confirmed Rollins’ announcement of a Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match.
