WWE Spoilers: Stipulation Added to Title Match at Battleground

The inaugural edition of WWE Battleground will come to you, live on pay-per-view, next Sunday (October 6) from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, NY. As announced on SmackDown, the World Heavyweight Title match will now be contested as a Battleground Hardcore Rules Match. Here is the updated card:

  • WWE Championship: Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan
  • CM Punk vs. Ryback
  • World Heavyweight Championship: Battleground Hardcore Rules Match: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Rob Van Dam

The Battleground Hardcore Rules Match will be an “anything goes” match with no disqualifications and no count-outs with the only ways to win are via pinfall or submission.
