Big WWE News: Real Cause for Rosa Mendes’ Absence Revealed!

This past Monday on RAW, Rosa Mendes returned from a four-month hiatus to the WWE to assist in The Miz’s portrayal of Fandango & Summer Rae. Back in April, Rosa Mendes (Milena Roucka) was sent home from WWE’s European Tour and the company cited “personal reasons” for her forced departure. While a story initially surfaced citing Rosa being the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of her now ex-fiance Steven Slocum (formerly Jackson Andrews in the WWE), but The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has dropped the bombshell that the WWE Diva has actually been in a rehabilitation center for the past four months. It is not currently known just what the former valet’s addiction was, but given WWE’s Wellness Policy, one would assume that anything besides alcohol would have come up in one of WWE’s random drug tests and resulted in Rosa getting suspended and, since she was not suspended, an alcohol abuse issue seems likely. Under the Wellness Policy, WWE offers to pay for rehabilitation services for any current or former WWE employee. Despite completing her rehab, Rosa Mendes is still on very rocky terms with the company and one more slip-up will likely result in her release from the company.
