WWE Spoilers: New Match Added to Extreme Rules!

The seventh annual WWE Extreme Rules will come to you, live on pay-per-view, a week from this Sunday on May 19 from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO. WWE.com has just announced that Randy Orton vs. Big Show will take place at the event. Plus, as revealed on Main Event, the match between Sheamus & Mark Henry will be a Strap Match. Here is the updated card:

  • Steel Cage Match: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
  • WWE Championship: Last Man Standing Match: John Cena (c) vs. Ryback
  • World Heavyweight Championship: Triple Threat Ladder Match: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio
  • Strap Match: Sheamus vs. Mark Henry
  • Extreme Rules Match: Randy Orton vs. Big Show

In a Steel Cage Match, a Superstar can win by pinfall, submission, or by escaping the cage, either by exiting through the door or climbing over the top of the cage with both feet touching the floor on the outside. The match has no disqualifications and no count-outs.

In the Last Man Standing Match, the only way to win is to render your opponent unable to get to his feet before the referee completes his ten-count. The match has no pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications, and no count-outs.

In the Triple Threat Ladder Match, the World Heavyweight Title belt will be suspended high above the ring and the first man to climb a ladder and successfully retrieve the title belt will win the match and leave as the World Heavyweight Champion. The match will have no pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications, and no count-outs.

In a Strap Match, both participants are tied to each other via a leather strap attached to their right wrist. The only way to win a Strap Match is to touch all four of the top turnbuckles in succession (if the other participant manages to prevent his opponent from touching a given turnbuckle, his progress is ‘waved off’ and he must start over). There will no pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications, and no count-outs.

In an Extreme Rules Match, there will be no disqualifications and no count-outs. The only ways to win are via pinfall or submission, which must take place in the ring.
