WWE Spoilers: Big Changes Made to Extreme Rules Card!

The seventh annual WWE Extreme Rules will come to you, live on pay-per-view, this Sunday night, May 19, from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO. As announced on RAW, Dolph Ziggler will be unable to defend the World Heavyweight Title at the event due to a legitimate concussion suffered last week and a #1 Contender’s Match will take the title match’s place. Also, three new matches and a pre-show match have been added to the card. Here is the updated card:

  • Steel Cage Match: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
  • WWE Championship: Last Man Standing Match: John Cena (c) vs. Ryback
  • #1 Contender’s “I Quit” Match: Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio
  • Strap Match: Sheamus vs. Mark Henry
  • Extreme Rules Match: Randy Orton vs. Big Show
  • United States Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
  • WWE Tag Team Championship: Tornado Tag Match: Team Hell No (c) vs. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns
  • Chris Jericho vs. Fandango
  • Pre-Show Exclusive: The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes

In the Steel Cage Match, the only ways to win are by pinfall, submission, or by escaping the cage, either through the door or over the top of the cage, with both feet touching the arena floor. There will no disqualifications and no count-outs.

In the Last Man Standing Match, the only way to win is to beat your opponent until he is unable to get to his feet before the referee completes his ten-count. There will be no pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications, and no count-outs.

In the “I Quit” Match, the only way to win is to force your opponent to say the words, “I Quit”, into a microphone held by the referee. The winner will be named the new #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match will have no pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications, and no count-outs.

In the Strap Match, both competitors will be tied together at the wrists by a leather strap for the entirety of the match. The only way to win the match is by dragging your opponent and successfully touching all four corners of the ring. There will be no pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications, and no count-outs.

In the Extreme Rules Match, you can win via pinfall or submission inside the ring. There will be no disqualifications and no count-outs.

In the Tornado Tag Match, all four competitors will be allowed to legally be in the ring at the same time with no tags in and out of the ring being made. The match can end via pinfall, submission, disqualification, or count-out. Any member of one team can defeat any member of the opposing team.
