The opening match of the night was the featured attraction of WWE Main Event as one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kane, with Daniel Bryan a guest on commentary, went one-on-one with United States Champion Antonio Cesaro in a non-title, Champion vs. Champion Match. During the match, AJ Lee would come skipping down to ringside, but Daniel Bryan stops AJ’s prancing around the ring, forcing AJ to leave in a huff. Moments later, Kane plants Antonio Cesaro with a chokeslam en route to picking up the win.
Eleven nights before they team with the newly dubbed “Tons of Funk”, Brodus Clay & Tensai, to face Team Rhodes Scholars & The Bella Twins in an 8-Person Mixed Tag Match at WrestleMania, The Funkadactyls, Cameron & Naomi, would face The Bella Twins, Brie Bella & Nikki Bella, in a Divas tag match. In the end, it was a distraction by Cody Rhodes that would allow one of the Bella Twins to surprise Naomi with a roll-up to pick up the win for The Bella Twins.
