The eleventh edition of WWE Main Event came to you from the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, CT. Four nights before he joins forces with Team Hell No to combat The Shield in a 6-Man TLC Tag Match at WWE TLC, “The Sin City Cyborg” was in action on Main Event as the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, Ryback, went one-on-one with “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio. Also, in tag team action, 3MB faces the high-flying team of Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel.

After Michael Cole & The Miz present a special look at the career of Ryback and his recent issues with The Shield, Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, comes out. Rodriguez states that he has taken the liberty of putting together a seventeen-minute highlight reel of Del Rio’s career! However, after the completely biased video runs for a few minutes, Ryback interrupts, chasing Rodriguez out of the ring as “The Sin City Cyborg” appears ready for action. His opponent, Alberto Del Rio, then comes out, calling Ryback an “ignorant animal” for interrupting his highlight video, referring to himself as the “greatest man in WWE history”, vowing to teach Ryback a lesson!
The main attraction of WWE Main Event saw the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, Ryback, going one-on-one with “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio, with Ricardo Rodriguez in his corner. Despite Alberto Del Rio’s best efforts, Ryback would take it to the two-time former WWE Champion, dropping Del Rio with Shell Shocked en route to picking up the win.
Moments after his victory over Alberto Del Rio, Ryback was interviewed backstage regarding his 6-Man TLC Tag Match at WWE TLC. Ryback states that he and Team Hell No must “act like a pack”, saying that they must “feed together”. When Matt Striker asks if, given his reputation as a “lone wolf”, can he co-exist with the WWE Tag Team Champions, Ryback responds with a stern “yes”.
The Three-Man Band, 3MB, appears on Main Event as Heath Slater asks why they were not asked to perform on ION Television’s benefit for Hurricane Sandy victims, also taking issue with the WWE-sponsored Rolling Stones pay-per-view this Saturday night. Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, & Drew McIntyre then present their own song, but after screaming for a few minutes, they are interrupted by Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel. The team says that 3MB is not even fit to be janitors at Madison Square Garden, telling 3MB to put their air guitars and get ready to face them. Drew McIntyre then says that, if Kidd & Gabriel want to face 3MB, then they have to face all three of them, a concept that the high-flying team agrees to.
Then it was time for the main event of WWE Main Event as the trio known as 3MB, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, & Drew McIntyre, would face the high-flying team of Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match. In the end, the numbers game caught up to Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel as, with an assist from Drew McIntyre on the outside, Heath Slater would land the Smash Hit on Tyson Kidd en route to picking up the win for 3MB.
