    WWE SmackDown

    Wwe Big Show

    Big Backfire.

The 693rd edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown came to you from the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, LA. On what promises to be a blockbuster show, SmackDown will kick off with a special appearance from the ten-time former WWE Champion John Cena, fresh off of Cena’s victory over Dolph Ziggler on RAW and Damien Sandow on Main Event. What will John Cena have to say about his relationship with AJ Lee? After defeating “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”, is Cena done with Dolph Ziggler? Also, two weeks before he challenges Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Chairs Match at WWE TLC, Sheamus would go one-on-one with a Superstar who is all but guaranteed to be a future World Heavyweight Champion in “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler!

    Match Results

    • John Cena def. Alberto Del Rio by pin following the leg drop off of the top rope.
    • The Great Khali (with Hornswoggle) def. David Otunga by pin following the Khali Chop.
    • 6-Man Tag: Kofi Kingston & Team Hell No def. Wade Barrett & The Prime Time Players by Darren Young tapping out to Daniel Bryan’s No Lock.
    • Damien Sandow def. Tyson Kidd by pin following the Terminus.
    • 3MB (with Drew McIntyre) def. Jimmy & Jey Uso by Jinder Mahal pinning Jey Uso following a full nelson suplex.
    • Sheamus def. Dolph Ziggler by DQ after Big Show interferes.

    Detailed Results

As promised, SmackDown kicks off with the ten-time former WWE Champion John Cena, who says that he is not a regular on SmackDown, but he is excited about the main event of the show due to the involvement of his rival, Dolph Ziggler. Cena then says that Dolph’s greatest accomplishment was being the World Heavyweight Champion for all of two minutes, saying that Ziggler’s greatest fear is that he will lose the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase. Cena continues, saying that Dolph “hides behind” Vickie Guerrero and her power as RAW’s Managing Supervisor, but Ziggler still claims that he can hang with the biggest Superstars in the WWE. Cena then says that Dolph was put to the test against him on RAW and Ziggler lost, but Cena says that Ziggler is in a fight on SmackDown when Dolph faces Sheamus. “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio, along with Ricardo Rodriguez, then interrupt Cena, saying that Cena should be worried about him because SmackDown is his show. Del Rio then reminds Cena that he is a former Money-in-the-Bank winner, a former Royal Rumble winner, and a two-time WWE Champion before saying that the last time that they were in the ring together, he beat Cena. Del Rio then tells Cena to leave his ring and his show, but Cena says that he remembers their history, saying that he is there because he is very interested in the main event match between Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler, but while he is there, he might as well have a match against Del Rio, popping Del Rio with a right hand!

In an impromptu opening match, the ten-time former WWE Champion John Cena was in action against “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio, with Ricardo Rodriguez in his corner. John Cena would take every bit of Alberto Del Rio’s punishment and would land a leg drop off of the top rope en route to picking up the win. After the match, there was no time to celebrate for John Cena as, with Cena on the staging area, Dolph Ziggler would strike from behind, blasting Cena in the back of the head with the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase!

Backstage, we see a new side of Team Hell No as, when Kofi Kingston tries to get Kane & Daniel Bryan on the same page for the good of their 6-Man Tag Match, both men compliment their tag team partner’s in-ring prowess. Kane then says that the world has not even begun to see how “dangerous and lethal” that Team Hell No, but they will start to tonight!

Moments after being blasted with the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase by Dolph Ziggler, John Cena confronts SmackDown General Manager Booker T backstage, threatening to get some revenge on Dolph Ziggler during the main event. However, the GM says that he needs Cena to let the main event proceed as planned, telling Cena that he has no problem with Cena handling his business, but implores Cena to wait until after the main event.

With his new buddy, Hornswoggle, in his corner, “The Punjabi Giant” The Great Khali went one-on-one with the Harvard Law graduate, David Otunga. With some unneeded assistance on the outside from Hornswoggle, The Great Khali would put David Otunga down with the Khali Chop en route to picking up the win.

With a renewed focus and intensity following their beat down at the hands of The Shield on RAW, WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No would team with Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston to face The Prime Time Players and the #1 Contender for Kofi’s Intercontinental Title at WWE TLC, Wade Barrett, in a 6-Man Tag Match. Amidst the chaotic match, it was Team Hell No showing their newfound unity as Kane plants Darren Young with a chokeslam before voluntarily tagging in Daniel Bryan, who lands the flying headbutt before locking in the No Lock on Darren Young, forcing Young to tap out to pick up the win for himself, Kane, and Kofi Kingston.

Damien Sandow would appear on SmackDown as “The Duke of Decency” reveals that he is going to use a different approach to reach out to the “masses” by educating each fan individually. Sandow then searches the crowd for his new “apprentice”, finding a fan in the crowd and having the excited fan join him in the ring. Sandow then states that he will ask the fan three questions that the “apprentice” must answer correctly. The first question is a softball as Sandow asks the fan how many wheels are on a tricycle and the fan answers, “three”. Sandow’s second question asked how often does the United States hold a Presidential election with the fan offering up the correct answer of “every four years”. Sandow comments that the confident fan is smarter than he looks before asking the third and final question, what is the orbital velocity of Jupiter’s moon, Europa? The fan admits that he has no idea what the answer is. Disgusted, Sandow reveals that the answer is 13.74 kilometers per second before congratulating the fan on “embarrassing” himself, his family, and the entire state of Louisiana! “The Duke of Decency” then orders the fan to leave the ring, advising the fan to leave Bossier City, the state, and even the United States.

Damien Sandow was also in action on SmackDown as “The Intellectual Savior” went one-on-one with Tyson Kidd. In the end, it was Damien Sandow dropping Tyson Kidd with the Terminus en route to picking up the win.

3MB was in action on SmackDown as Heath Slater & Jinder Mahal, with Drew McIntyre in their corner, faced Jimmy & Jey Uso in tag team action. In the end, it was Jinder Mahal planting Jey Uso with a full nelson slam en route to picking up the win for 3MB.

Then it was time for the main event as, two weeks before he challenges Big Show for the World Heavyweight Title in a Chairs Match at WWE TLC, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus went one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler. During the match, Sheamus would lock in the Texas Cloverleaf on Dolph Ziggler, but Big Show would make his way to the ring as the World Heavyweight Champion would attack Sheamus with a series of headbutts, ending the match in a disqualification. After the match, Big Show and Dolph Ziggler looked set for a two-on-one assault on Sheamus, but John Cena would make the save, evening the odds. Cena would then plant Dolph with the Attitude Adjustment before Cena and Sheamus would work together to suplex the World Heavyweight Champion! Cena and Sheamus would then knock Big Show out of the ring, enraging the World Heavyweight Champion as Cena and Sheamus stand tall in the ring.
