WWE Spoilers: Alberto Del Rio Off of No Way Out Card!

WWE.com is reporting that the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Alberto Del Rio, suffered a concussion at the SmackDown tapings last Tuesday night and will not be cleared to compete this Sunday at No Way Out, where he was originally scheduled to challenge Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title. This confirms the rumors that were reported on over the weekend.

WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson commented, “The Great Khali did his chop to [Del Rio’s] head, which resulted in a concussion for Alberto. He didn’t get knocked out, but he did have a memory lapse and also disorientation and a neck compression, which the MRI came back as nothing but a sprain.”

The WWE.com article also mentions that a new #1 Contender for the title is likely to be named on tonight’s three-hour RAW.
