WWE Spoilers: Beth Phoenix Injured on RAW

During her defense of the Divas Title (which was unsuccessful as she lost the title to Nikki Bella) on last night’s 3-hour RAW, Beth Phoenix did a simple hop off of the ring apron, but “The Glamazon” landed awkwardly on her left ankle and was visibly unable to put any weight on the ankle. Shortly after this, Nikki Bella rolled Beth Phoenix up to win the Divas Title.

WWE.com posted an update to Phoenix’s injury after the show last night as WWE physician, Dr. Michael Sampson, reported, “It looks like she affected her anterior talofibular ligament, which is the most common injured ankle ligament on an inversion injury. She has some swelling [and] she’s having a hard time walking or ambulating on it. We’re going to need an MRI just to make sure there’s nothing else going on and see how we can treat it – if we need surgery or if we can do it conservatively.”
