WWE Monday Night RAW May 30, 2011 Results

    By Cassidy
    | May 30, 2011
    WWE Raw

The 940th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live on Memorial Day, from Qwest Center Omaha in Omaha, NE. One week after her bizarre emotional meltdown in front of a group of the WWE Divas, “The Diva of Destruction” Kharma would speak for the first time ever on RAW about her emotional state last week!

    Match Results

    • Non-Title: Dolph Ziggler def. Kofi Kingston by pin following the Zig Zag.
    • Eve & Kelly Kelly def. The Bella Twins by Kelly Kelly pinning Bella following the K2.
    • CM Punk (with Mason Ryan) def. Rey Mysterio by pin following a kick to the head.
    • Evan Bourne def. Jack Swagger by roll-up.
    • Non-Title: R-Truth def. John Cena by count-out.

    Detailed Results

RAW kicks off abruptly with the unbalanced R-Truth as, in his continuing claims of a “conspiracy” against him, Truth trashes a merchandise stand selling the merchandise of WWE Champion John Cena before making his way into the arena through the crowd as R-Truth ridicules any fan wearing John Cena hats or t-shirts! Truth then comes to a father and son wearing Cena t-shirts and tells the father that he thinks that he is “better” than him before shouting at the father to “say something” and the father says “what’s up?” Truth then states that it’s not about “what’s up?” anymore and it’s not about the fans anymore and, as he enters the ring, Truth shouts that all the fans “conspire” against him and that he “can’t stand little Jimmy” before R-Truth’s ranting is interrupted by the arrival of the WWE Champion, John Cena! Cena states that R-Truth’s talk of “conspiracies” and “little Jimmy” is all in Truth’s “fantasy world” before asking Truth what’s wrong with him! Truth responds by saying that, ever since he stopped “rapping and dancing”, nobody “likes” him anymore and Cena tells Truth that the fans “agree” with him that Truth needs to be in a “straightjacket” before reiterating that, he has “no problem” beating some “sense” into R-Truth! The anonymous General Manager of RAW then chimes in with an email that makes the match official before stating that there will be “no little Jimmies allowed at ringside”! R-Truth would then ask if it is a “joke” to the GM before telling Cena that the WWE Champion is “gonna get got”! R-Truth has finally received his one-on-one match with WWE Champion John Cena, but will R-Truth prove he belongs as a title contender or will John Cena make good on his promise to beat some “sense” into R-Truth?

The opening match of the night would see United States Champion Kofi Kingston go one-on-one with “The Platinum Superstar” Dolph Ziggler, with his “associate” Vickie Guerrero in his corner, in a non-title match! At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Dolph Ziggler narrowly avoiding the S.O.S. before hitting the Zig Zag on Kofi Kingston en route to pinning the United States Champion to pick up the win! After pinning the champion, there is little doubt that Dolph Ziggler has positioned himself to get a shot at the United States Title, but when will Dolph get his shot at the gold?

One week after his personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, used Alberto Del Rio’s 2011 Ferrari Spider to run over Big Show and shatter Big Show’s knee in an apparent “accident”, Alberto Del Rio would make an appearance on RAW! Del Rio tells the fans that the car running over Big Show was an “accident” before saying that Big Show “brought it” upon himself! Del Rio continues that “bad things happen to bad people” and states that he is a “nice guy”, but “business is business” before saying that Big Show “owes” him money for the damage Big Show did to his Ferrari and Big Show will be getting a “bill” before smiling and telling Big Show to “get well soon”! What wrath awaits Alberto Del Rio whenever Big Show returns to the WWE?

After witnessing the bizarre emotional meltdown of Kharma in the middle of the ring last week, the Divas would be in tag team action as former Divas Champion Eve would team with Kelly Kelly to take on Divas Champion Brie Bella and Brie’s twin sister, Nikki Bella! In the end, it was Kelly Kelly hitting the K2 on one of The Bella Twins en route to picking up the win for herself and Eve!

One week after being fired and demoralized by The Miz moments before his temper would boil over and he would assault The Miz in and out of the ring before delivering a vicious kick to Miz’s head, leaving the former WWE Champion laid out in the ring, the self-proclaimed “Voice of the WWE” Michael Cole would appear in the ring and reveal that Alex Riley has been re-signed to RAW by the anonymous General Manager before Alex Riley himself would come out to be interviewed by Cole! Michael Cole would take a tone of disgust with Riley before saying that, never before in the WWE, has there been such a case of “backstabbing” as The Miz “nurtured” Alex Riley before letting Riley “fly” and Riley paid Miz back by attacking his mentor! Cole continues by asking how The Miz was “emotionally affected” by the attack last week before saying that his “good friend”, The Miz, was “emotionally scarred” last week because The Miz thought of Alex Riley as a “brother” and his “right hand man” before asking Riley how he can “justify” his actions! Alex Riley would then say that that he has “never felt better” in his life and Michael Cole responds by telling Alex Riley that he should get on his knees and “beg” The Miz for “forgiveness” before saying that Riley has “no idea” what Miz is “capable of”! Alex Riley would then finally tell Michael Cole to “shut up” and that, like The Miz, Cole has a “big mouth” and is starting to get “annoying”! Cole states that he and The Miz are “none of those things” before sternly telling Riley that Riley is a “bastard”!

Alex Riley would respond by shoving Michael Cole down before grabbing the commentator by the throat, but Riley’s pre-occupation with Michael Cole would allow The Miz to rush out and attack Alex Riley from behind as Miz would pummel his former protégé before Riley would fight back, knocking Miz down on the outside of the ring before hurling Miz into the barricade repeatedly, continuing to pummel Miz around ringside, but after hurling The Miz over the announce table, The Miz would narrowly make his escape through the crowd, fleeing the arena! Has The Miz made the biggest mistake of his career by angering Alex Riley?

One week after being locked in the Sharpshooter by Hall of Famer Bret “Hitman” Hart during the main event while Rey Mysterio dropped a leg drop on him en route to being pinned by Rey, a highly personal rivalry would be renewed on RAW as New Nexus leader, CM Punk, with The New Nexus powerhouse, Mason Ryan, in his corner, would go one-on-one with “The Ultimate Underdog” Rey Mysterio! During the match, Mason Ryan would get involved in the match on the outside as the powerhouse would send Rey Mysterio back-first into the steel ring post! In the end, it was Rey Mysterio taking Mason Ryan out on the outside, but the distraction would be enough for CM Punk to take advantage as, after Rey escapes the GTS, Punk would deliver a vicious kick to the head of Mysterio en route to picking up the win!

After weeks of tormenting and attacking the WWE Divas, “The Diva of Destruction” Kharma would interrupt an 8-Diva Tag Match last week only to break down and cry in the middle of the ring, in front of the Divas! After her emotional meltdown last week, Kharma would appear on RAW and speak for the first time to explain her break down! Kharma would state that she has always dreamed of being in the WWE, but everyone told her that standing in a WWE ring would be “impossible”! Kharma then reveals that she tried out for the second season of the original Tough Enough and she was told by Jim Ross that she was “too fat” to be a WWE Diva, so she went to Japan and “scrubbed the floors” of wrestling dojos in exchange for receiving the training needed to become a “wrestling master”! Kharma continues that she then moved on to every “dank, stank wrestling promotion” in every corner of the world before her “dream” finally came true and the WWE made her feel “welcome”! Kharma then states that her other “dream” is a bit more “personal” before revealing that she is actually “pregnant” and it is a “high risk pregnancy”, so she is unable to compete or take part in any sort of physicality before Kharma assures the WWE fans that she will be “back”!

Before being able to make her exit from the ring, Kharma is interrupted by The Bella Twins as The Bellas make fun of Kharma, saying that Jim Ross was right in saying that Kharma does not have what it takes to be a Diva! The Bellas continue by asking Kharma if it “bothers” her to know that she cannot beat them up due to doctor’s orders before starting to make a fat joke of Kharma and Kharma tells The Bella Twins that she hopes that The Bellas are still around in one year, because they have given her a “new dream”! The nightmare of Kharma has been put on hold due to Kharma’s pregnancy, but what fate awaits The Bella Twins when Kharma returns next year?

After having his victory lap was interrupted with a kick by the man he defeated, Evan Bourne, with a kick to the face, the rematch would take place on RAW as “The All-American American” Jack Swagger would go one-on-one with Evan Bourne! In the end, it was Evan Bourne coming out of nowhere with a roll-up on Jack Swagger to pick up an upset win over the former World Heavyweight Champion! How will Jack Swagger respond to this loss?

Then it was time for the main event as, after weeks of claiming there is a “conspiracy” against him not getting to be in the main event, R-Truth would finally get his wish as Truth would go one-on-one with WWE Champion John Cena in a non-title match! All throughout the match, R-Truth would repeatedly exit the ring to ridicule the fans, but John Cena would become fed up with the tactics of R-Truth and Cena would go into the crowd to get Truth himself, but R-Truth would deliver a right hand to Cena, which would allow Truth to beat the referee’s ten count by getting back into the ring as the referee counts to ten, meaning a count-out victory for R-Truth over the WWE Champion! After the match, R-Truth would quickly exit the ring where the despicable R-Truth would actually take the beverage of the father he was berating earlier in the show and throw the drink into the father’s face before making a hasty exit from the arena while Cena did his best to clean the father up from his embarrassment! How will John Cena respond to R-Truth’s actions?
