WWE Monday Night RAW March 28, 2011 Results

    By Cassidy
    | March 29, 2011
    WWE Raw

Just six nights before WrestleMania, the 931st edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. For the first time since making his electrifying return to the WWE a month ago, the host of WrestleMania XXVII would appear on RAW as The Rock will appear live in the arena to confront both John Cena and WWE Champion The Miz just six nights before their WWE Title match at WrestleMania! Six nights before their epic No Holds Barred showdown at WrestleMania, “The Game” Triple H would come face-to-face with “The Last Outlaw” The Undertaker as the two legends would face off in the center of the ring!

    Match Results

    • Edge & Christian def. Alberto Del Rio & Brodus Clay by Edge pinning Brodus Clay following the Spear.
    • Santino Marella (with Kane, Big Show, & Vladimir Kozlov) def. Justin Gabriel (with The Corre) by pin following the Cobra Strike.
    • Jack Swagger (with Michael Cole) def. Jerry “The King” Lawler by DQ following a steel chair shot.
    • Dolph Ziggler & Sheamus def. John Morrison & Daniel Bryan by Sheamus pinning Daniel Bryan following Pale Justice.

    Detailed Results

Six nights before he goes one-on-one with Randy Orton at WrestleMania, RAW kicks off with Chicago’s own “Straightedge Savior” CM Punk seated in the middle of the ring! CM Punk states that he is going to “miss” the reaction from his hometown crowd because he is doubtful that he will be “welcomed” as warmly in Atlanta at WrestleMania! Punk continues that the Chicago fans are his “people”, just like The New Nexus were his “people”, but Randy Orton took them out one-by-one before Punk states that Orton lives in a “fantasy world” and he considers himself a “realist”! Punk then states that, whether it is the members of The New Nexus or the residents of Chicago, he really does “not care” what happens to them! Punk continues that The New Nexus getting punted by Randy Orton is not his “problem”, because his “problem” is Randy Orton! Punks then states that, at a “snap” of his fingers, he can have anyone get him anything! Punk then stands up and states that the “psychological advantage” that Orton had was a “false sense of security” and that Orton “slipped up” last week by revealing that he travels in a custom bus with his wife, which prompted Punk to lure Orton to the parking lot where he would assault “The Viper” with a steel wrench shot to the knee! Punk then states that Orton’s wife will always see him standing over a helpless Orton whenever she closes her eyes! Punk then states that Orton should “never” have punted him in the skull two years ago and cost him the World Heavyweight Title because he has made the Orton family lose “respect” for Randy Orton and will never look at Orton the “same” again! Punk then declares that he is just “getting started” before vowing that he will “close this sick and twisted chapter at WrestleMania”!

CM Punk would then start to exit the ring, but Randy Orton himself would come out as “The Viper”, bandaged knee and all, would walk gingerly to the ring, but upon entering the ring, Punk would strike first, but Orton would fire back, planting CM Punk with a suspended DDT! Orton would then get set to deliver the RKO to CM Punk, but Orton would come up with a much more sinister plan as Orton would ready the punt that took out The New Nexus, but the injured knee of Randy Orton would give way, preventing the punt from being delivered and allowing Punk to escape the ring! Once realizing that Orton was unable to punt him, Punk would come back in the ring and deliver a kick to the injured knee of Orton before hoisting Orton up and delivering the GTS to “The Viper”! With WrestleMania just six nights away, can Randy Orton overcome the injured knee to defeat CM Punk or will CM Punk take full advantage of Orton’s weakened state?

Backstage, “Captain Charisma” Christian confronts his friend and tag team partner for the evening, World Heavyweight Champion Edge, as the former tag team champions reveal that the respective General Managers of RAW and SmackDown agreed to allow Edge to get his hands on Alberto Del Rio on RAW, but not on SmackDown, which is the reason for their tag team match on RAW!

Six nights before they square off with the World Heavyweight Title on the line at WrestleMania, the champion and challenger would face off in tag team action as World Heavyweight Champion Edge would team with his good friend, “Captain Charisma” Christian, to face the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Alberto Del Rio, and his protégé, Brodus Clay! In the end, it was Edge hitting the Spear on Brodus Clay en route to picking up the win for himself and Christian! Immediately after the match, Alberto Del Rio would lock in the cross armbreaker on Christian on the outside of the ring, which would prompt Edge to rush to the outside to chase off Alberto Del Rio, but just as Edge turned his back after Del Rio seemingly fled backstage, Del Rio would attack the World Heavyweight Champion, locking Edge in the cross armbreaker on the outside of the ring, making Edge tap out! Can Alberto Del Rio force Edge to tap out this Sunday at WrestleMania to win the World Heavyweight Title or will Edge crush the “destiny” of Alberto Del Rio?

The anonymous General Manager of RAW would chime in with an email during RAW and, as read by Michael Cole on his iPad from the safety of his “Cole Mine”, the GM wants to ensure that Jerry “The King” Lawler is ready for his match against Michael Cole at WrestleMania as the Hall of Famer will go one-one with Cole’s trainer, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, on RAW! Can Jerry Lawler hang with the former World Heavyweight Champion?

After recent beatdowns on all four men, it was revealed on RAW that, at WrestleMania, the odds will be evened up as all four members of The Corre; new Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, and WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel will take on the team of “The Big Red Monster” Kane, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show, Santino Marella, & Vladimir Kozlov in a huge 8-Man Tag Match at WrestleMania!

Three nights after Wade Barrett defeated Kofi Kingston to bring the Intercontinental Title to The Corre, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions would be in action on RAW as Corre member Justin Gabriel, with The Corre in his corner, would go one-on-one with Santino Marella, with Kane, Big Show, and Vladimir Kozlov in his corner! During the match, Heath Slater would attempt to distract Santino Marella, but Kane would lay Slater out with a uppercut as Vladimir Kozlov would trip up Justin Gabriel and Big Show would deliver a kick to the face of Wade Barrett, allowing Santino to hit the Cobra Strike on Justin Gabriel en route to picking up the win! After the match, all four men, including Kane, would engage in Santino’s trumpet celebration! What will happen this Sunday at WrestleMania when The Corre collides with Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella, & Vladimir Kozlov in an 8-Man Tag Match?

Six nights before their epic No Holds Barred showdown that could only take place at WrestleMania, “The Game” Triple H would come face-to-face with “The Phenom” The Undertaker on RAW! The Undertaker would come out first as “The Last Outlaw” would make his legendary entrance to the squared circle, followed by Triple H, but when “The Game” would go for his trademark water spit to the crowd, Triple H would be cut off by the gong of The Undertaker as Triple H would glare over his shoulder at his WrestleMania opponent just before the lights would go out in the arena! The gong would then sound again as the lights would come back on with Triple H and The Undertaker glaring at each other!

Chicago would then be greeted by a Hall of Fame surprise as 2011 Hall of Fame inductee “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels would come out in the middle of the confrontation between Triple H and The Undertaker! An excited Shawn Michaels apologizes for the interruption before saying that he could not “miss” the confrontation! Michaels then states that, as much as it pains him to say it, The Undertaker has the “greatest streak of all time”, but at the other side of the ring will be the thirteen-time World Champion and his “best friend”, Triple H before telling both men that, after WrestleMania, they will “never be the same again”! Shawn Michaels then asks his best friend, Triple H, what makes Triple H think that he can do what Michaels could not by defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania!

Triple H takes the microphone and tells Michaels that the “truth” is that Michaels went “soft” as Michaels opted to be “The Showstopper” and wins did not matter to Michaels, but he is “not even close” to being Shawn Michaels and he “has to win” and he “will win”! Triple H then turns his attention to The Undertaker that, when he walked into a WWE locker room for the first time, he saw “legends” and “future icons”, but he saw one guy who was the “glue” that held it all together! Triple H continues that he saw a guy who taped a flak jacket to himself because he had broken his ribs and still wanted to compete and a guy who “crushed” one whole side of his face, but still competed the next night! Triple H then stated that he “patterned” himself after that individual and that individual was The Undertaker! Triple H continues that that there is one man who he “respects as much” as The Undertaker and that man is Shawn Michaels! Triple H then reveals that he and Shawn Michaels made a pact a few years ago that, if one of them could no longer perform at their desired level, then they would tell the other that it was “over” and, if they did not accept it, then they would force them to accept it! Triple H then states that he came back after a year for “one reason” to tell The Undertaker, out of “respect”, that it is “time” for it to be “over” for The Undertaker! Triple H continues that The Undertaker will “always be The Deadman” and he will always “respect” The Undertaker, but this Sunday night, Undertaker will “no longer be undefeated” because he is “the one”, as in “eighteen and one”! Triple H then tells The Undertaker to his face that, at WrestleMania, Undertaker and his streak will “rest in peace”!

The Undertaker would then take the microphone and state that, if he ever got to the point that the “time” came for him to be “put down”, he would want Triple H to be the one to do it, but it is “not that time”! The Undertaker continues that Triple H will die trying to end the streak, but the streak will stay “alive” and so will he and, if Triple H does not take his “word” for it, then he should ask Shawn Michaels! Undertaker then states that Michaels gave him the two greatest WrestleMania matches of his career and Michaels came the closest, but he could not get the job “done” and, now, he does not see the same “arrogance” in Shawn Michaels, because he sees a man he “humbled”! Undertaker continues that he sees Michaels as a man who will go into the Hall of Fame “full of regrets” and he sees a man whose career he “ended” before shoving the microphone into the chest of Shawn Michaels!

Shawn Michaels would then go for Sweet Chin Music on The Undertaker, but Undertaker would catch the foot of the Hall of Famer and would grab Michaels by the throat, but Triple H would spin Undertaker around and stare into the eyes of “The Deadman” before telling Michaels to tell Undertaker why Triple H will beat Undertaker at WrestleMania, but Michaels would refuse, opting to leave the ring! Triple H would then tell Michaels to look at him and Michaels would apologize to his best friend before leaving! Triple H would then turn and look back at The Undertaker as Undertaker would scoff, tip his hat, and leave the ring! The Undertaker would then pause on the ramp to look back at Triple H one more time before making his exit! After their unforgettable face-off, both with each other and Shawn Michaels, what will happen when these two superpowers collide in a No Holds Barred fight to the finish this Sunday at WrestleMania? What role will Shawn Michaels play in the match?

Six nights before he squares off with Michael Cole in a match with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the Special Referee, Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler would go one-on-one with Michael Cole’s trainer, Jack Swagger, with Michael Cole in his corner! The match would quickly spill to the outside of the ring where Jerry Lawler would waylay Jack Swagger with a steel chair to the back before “The King” would set his sights on Michael Cole! Lawler would pursue Cole, but Cole would quickly take refuge in his “Cole Mine” and Lawler would bang on the “Cole Mine” with a steel chair and would try and climb over the top of the protective cage, but Cole’s personal security would keep Lawler from getting his hands on Cole, allowing Cole to throw a drink in the face of the Hall of Famer! What will happen this Sunday night at WrestleMania when Jerry Lawler finally gets his hands on Michael Cole with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the Special Referee?

One week after actually pinning John Morrison in a 4-on-2 Intergender Handicap Match and six nights before she is in the corner of Dolph Ziggler & LayCool for their 6-Person Mixed Tag Match against John Morrison, Trish Stratus, & Snooki, Vickie Guerrero would mock the entrance of John Morrison before her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler, would team with United States Champion Sheamus to take on the team of “The Prince of Parkour” John Morrison and former United States Champion Daniel Bryan! At the end of a chaotic tag match, it was Sheamus hitting Pale Justice on Daniel Bryan en route to picking up the win for his team!

In the legendary team’s hometown of Chicago, it was revealed that one of the most legendary tag teams of all time will be the final inductees into the Hall of Fame as The Road Warriors, Hawk & Animal, along with their manager, Paul Ellering, will be inducted into the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame!

Six nights before they team with John Morrison to take on Dolph Ziggler and LayCool in a 6-Person Mixed Tag Match at WrestleMania, Trish Stratus & Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi would appear live via satellite from a local bar in New Jersey where Snooki would show a bit of her training by easily dispatching a random bar guy! Layla & Michelle McCool would then appear in the bar, sparking a brawl between the four Divas! What will happen this Sunday night at WrestleMania when Snooki, Trish Stratus, & John Morrison take on LayCool & Dolph Ziggler in a 6-Person Mixed Tag Match?

Then it was time for a confrontation of foundation-shaking proportions as the Host of WrestleMania himself, “The People’s Champion” The Rock would confront both John Cena and WWE Champion The Miz just six nights before WrestleMania! After being live via satellite for weeks, the one and only “Great One” The Rock would appear, live, in Chicago! The Rock would state that Chicago is a very “special” city to him because he competed in his very first match in that very arena and, on that night, The Rock decided to “bring it” and it was the “unofficial birth of Team Bring It”! The Rock continues that, with Team Bring It, anyone tells them they can’t do something, then they take all of their “insecurities” and shove them up their “candy asses”! The Rock states that, when someone is a part of Team Bring It, they chase down their “dreams”! Rock then states that, when he returned to the WWE, he had a “dream” where he called John Cena out and he saw Cena come out looking like a “homeless Power Ranger” before delivering a “fist” to his “lips” and a “boot” to his “ass”! The Rock then states that he “woke up” and it is a “reality” that he is there, but he is “never alone” as he is with the “millions and millions of The Rock’s fans” before declaring that “The People’s Champ is here”!

Business would then pick up as the #1 Contender for the WWE Title at WrestleMania, John Cena, would come out as The Rock and John Cena would be in the same ring at the same time for the first time ever! Cena states that it is what he wanted, for The Rock to be back in a WWE ring before telling Rock that the ring is where The Rock “belongs”! Cena states that, he was one of the “millions”, and tells The Rock to feel the “electricity” as it can only be brought by The Rock! Cena continues that The Rock’s mocking of him was like a “celebrity roast” before saying that everything he said about Rock had “merit”, but he wanted to know the “problem” that The Rock had with Cena! Cena continues that The Rock had a “problem” with his “moral code” of “Hustle, Loyalty, & Respect” before stating that his fan base is made up of mostly “kids” and he is “damn proud” of it! Cena then tells The Rock that, if Rock has something to say about him not “working his tail to the bone” for the WWE before asking The Rock, “who in the hell are you?” for judging his career, fan base, and life choices! Cena continues that, when it’s all said and done, he will be “judged”, but it won’t be by The Rock!

The Rock responds by saying that the “good lord” can’t stop The Rock from whooping John Cena’s “monkey ass” and Cena responds by saying that he has said all that he needs to say to The Rock, so he is ready for a “fight”! Before The Rock and John Cena have a chance to square off, the third element in the confrontation emerges as WWE Champion The Miz, with his associate, Alex Riley, in tow! The Miz asks if that is how it is going to be, being upstaged by the “O Brothers” by calling The Rock “overhyped” and John Cena “overrated”! Miz reminds Cena that he has “owned” Cena in recent weeks before saying that Cena will go down “with a fight”, unlike The Rock! The Miz continues that The Rock is not going to do a “thing” on RAW because he has done his “research” and The Rock’s movies have grossed over “$1.2 billion” before saying that one of the biggest movie stars in the world is not going to “risk” getting beaten up by him! The Miz then states that it is a “guaran-damn-tee” that, if The Rock even looks at him wrong, he will beat him “so bad” to where The Rock won’t be able to go back to Hollywood! The Miz then tells The Rock to “run” his mouth because he does not “think” that The Rock will not actually “do anything” because he’s The Miz and he’s “awesome”!

The Rock responds by saying that it “doesn’t matter” what The Miz thinks before The Rock gets in the face of The Miz, which opens The Rock up for a cheap shot by Alex Riley! The Miz and Alex Riley would then attack The Rock, but Rock would fight back and would deliver right hands to Riley, sending Riley out of the ring before The Rock would focus his attack on The Miz as the WrestleMania Host would hit the DDT on the WWE Champion before hitting the legendary People’s Elbow! The Rock would then throw The Miz to the outside of the ring, but Rock would turn right into a waiting John Cena, who would hoist The Rock and deliver the Attitude Adjustment to “The People’s Champ”! After an unreal confrontation between these three, what will go down this Sunday at WrestleMania when The Rock presides over the epic event as the Host of WrestleMania? Will The Rock seek revenge on John Cena?

The WWE has a shot to finally turn Cena heel. Here’s betting they totally miss the chance.
