    WWE Week In Preview

    Monday Night RAW

    Champion Vs. Champion:

WWE Champion The Miz (with Alex Riley) Vs. World Heavyweight Champion Edge

Final Build To The Royal Rumble

    WWE Superstars

    R-Truth Vs. Tyson Kidd

    Friday Night SmackDown

WWE Champion The Miz & Dolph Ziggler Vs. World Heavyweight Champion Edge & Randy Orton

Final Build To The Royal Rumble

Six nights before the Royal Rumble, the 922nd edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI. Six nights before they both defend their titles against Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler, respectively, at the Royal Rumble, RAW would see a special Champion Vs. Champion Match as WWE Champion The Miz would go one-on-one with World Heavyweight Champion Edge!

Monday Night RAW (January 24, 2011)

Good Week For: The Corre & The New Nexus (despite their respective members losing, were permitted to stay in the Royal Rumble Match)

Bad Week For: John Cena (thought he had rid the Royal Rumble Match of both The Corre & The New Nexus, only for the GM to change things up)

    Detailed Results Follow…

Before going one-on-one with RAW’s WWE Champion The Miz later on in the night in a Champion Vs. Champion Match, RAW would kick off with a special appearance by SmackDown’s World Heavyweight Champion Edge! Showing his bandaged ribs as a result of an attack by the new group, The Corre, on SmackDown, Edge addresses The Miz and states that he does not feel like “waiting: as he does not like “waiting” at the DMV, the supermarket, the airport, or “waiting” for Michael Cole to stop being a “tool” before calling The Miz out for their Champion Vs. Champion Match! The anonymous General Manager of RAW then chimes in with an email that states that the GM has not forgotten the “disrespect” shown by Edge when he was a part of RAW before announcing that the Champion Vs. Champion Match will take place later on in the evening as scheduled, but that there will be “exhibition” match right now as Edge will face Superstars in an Over-The-Top Rope Challenge and the Superstar who throws Edge over the top rope will earn the right to enter this Sunday’s 40-Man Royal Rumble Match at #40! The match would then begin immediately with “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre, and “The Crowned Prince” Tyson Kidd rushing out to battle Edge! Edge would first throw Tyson Kidd over the top rope, eliminating Kidd from the match and would follow it up by throwing Jack Swagger over the top rope and finally eliminating Drew McIntyre to win the match! After winning the match, Edge states that the match got his “juices flowing” before exiting the ring and asking the fans who would like to see a “smashed laptop” before approaching the GM’s laptop, which Michael Cole stands in front of, but as Edge approaches Cole and the laptop, but is stopped by the arrival of “The Second City Saint” CM Punk and The New Nexus of David Otunga, Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty, and the monstrous mystery man who dominated John Cena last week as Punk states that the “strong survive” and, with the expansion of the Royal Rumble Match to 40 participants, The New Nexus had to “evolve”, thus the new “handpicked” member of The New Nexus, who CM Punk reveals to be the Cardiff, Wales native Mason Ryan! Mason Ryan then states that he only has one thing to say, “faith”, before Punk states that that The Nexus has “faith” and, unlike John Cena and “the poor man’s Nexus” The Corre, The Nexus’ faith will “pay off” as he will win the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match and The New Nexus will become even more “powerful”! Things would then get interesting as SmackDown’s group of “equals”, The Corre, would interrupt as Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, & Ezekiel Jackson would come face to face with The New Nexus as Barrett states that The Corre is “nothing like” The Nexus as they are all “equals” before Ezekiel Jackson states that they will all try to win the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match for themselves, but they will make sure to “unite” to eliminate CM Punk from the Royal Rumble Match! Then, as Ezekiel Jackson gets in the face of CM Punk, the newest member of The New Nexus, Mason Ryan, would step forward and come face-to-face with “Big Zeke”, but just as a fight looks to break loose, the anonymous General Manager of RAW chimes in with an email that reveals that he has given an “open invitation” for SmackDown Superstars to appear on RAW before stating that, with SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long currently “sidelined”, he can set up a huge match before announcing that the leader of The New Nexus, CM Punk, would go one-on-one with The Corre’s Wade Barrett and, whoever loses that match, will see their entire group, either The Corre or The New Nexus, removed from the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match this Sunday and, not only that, but this blockbuster match will have a Special Referee that both Superstars are very familiar with in John Cena! What will happen when CM Punk and Wade Barrett go one-on-one with John Cena as the Special Referee? Which group will be removed from the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match, The Corre or The New Nexus?

Six nights before they are a part of the huge 40-Man Royal Rumble Match, four Rumble participants would square off in tag team action as “The Prince of Parkour” John Morrison would team with “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry to face “The Mexican Elitist” Alberto Del Rio and the 2010 King of the Ring King Sheamus! During the match, the former Nexus member Michael Tarver is shown watching the tag match! At the end of a chaotic match, it would be Alberto Del Rio pulling off a huge move as Del Rio would lock on the cross armbreaker on Mark Henry, forcing “The World’s Strongest Man” to tap out to win the match! Alberto Del Rio has stated that it is his “destiny” to win the Royal Rumble Match and headline WrestleMania, but can Del Rio survive the supersized Rumble to achieve that “destiny”?

After becoming the new #1 Contender for the Divas Title a number of weeks ago, “The A-List Diva” Melina would get her shot at the gold as Melina would challenge Natalya for the Divas Title! In the end, it was Natalya locking in a modified version of the Sharpshooter, leaning all the way back to add extra torque to the move, leaving Melina no choice but to tap out for Natalya to retain the Divas Title! Natalya’s celebration would be short-lived, however, as Layla & Michelle McCool would come out state that Natalya will lose some “weight” in six nights at the Royal Rumble because they never received their rematch for the Divas Title and this Sunday, they will bring the Divas division from “classless” to “flawless” when they regain the Divas Title! Will Natalya be forced to defend the Divas Title against both members of LayCool this Sunday at the Royal Rumble?

Then it was time for the Champion Vs. Champion Match as RAW’s WWE Champion The Miz, with his “apprentice” Alex Riley, would go one-on-one with SmackDown’s World Heavyweight Champion Edge, but before the match begins, the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title Dolph Ziggler and his girlfriend, acting SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero, come to ringside to be guests on commentary for the match! In the end, Edge looked poised for victory as the World Heavyweight Champion readied himself for the Spear, but Dolph Ziggler would interfere and attack, but Randy Orton would rush out and shove Dolph Ziggler out of the way before attacking The Miz, but Alex Riley would come in and Orton would take down Riley before rushing to the outside of the ring where Miz was trying to escape through the crowd! Miz would then cut through the ring and Orton would give chase, but would run into Alex Riley a second time as Orton would deliver the RKO to Riley and would follow it up with a second RKO on Dolph Ziggler before The Miz would re-enter and chop block the back of the knee of Orton with Alex Riley’s briefcase, allowing Miz to escape! What will happen this Sunday night when there is nowhere to run for The Miz when Miz defends the WWE Title against Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble?

RAW would also see 6-Person Mixed Tag action as United States Champion Daniel Bryan would team with The Bella Twins to face the team of “The Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase, Maryse, & Alicia Fox! After agreeing to a contest for the affection of Daniel Bryan last week, Brie Bella would distract Daniel Bryan long enough to allow Maryse to pin her twin sister, Nikki Bella, to pick up the win!

Moments after Brie Bella cost her team the match, The Bella Twins walk past Michael Tarver and enter the locker room of Daniel Bryan to confront Bryan, but The Bellas find Bryan making out with Gail Kim! Bryan would then introduce The Bellas to Gail and reveal that he has been seeing Gail for about six months and Gail tells The Bella Twins that the only reason Bryan has been hanging out with The Bellas was because he “feels sorry” for The Bellas because they have “nothing to do” since there have not been any RAW Guest Stars lately! The Bellas respond to this by calling Gail Kim an “afterthought”, which prompts a brawl between Gail Kim and The Bella Twins; a brawl that Daniel Bryan and an official is finally able to break up!

Before their leader, CM Punk, goes one-on-one with Corre member Wade Barrett in the main event with their spots in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match on the line, New Nexus members Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty, with teammates David Otunga & Mason Ryan in their corner, would face WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov, with Tamina in their corner, in a non-title match! In the end, it would be Husky Harris hitting a modified STO on Santino Marella en route to picking up the non-title victory! After the match, New Nexus member David Otunga would introduce their motivational leader, CM Punk!

Then it was time for the main event as the leader of The New Nexus, CM Punk, would go one-on-one with Corre member Wade Barrett in a match where the losing Superstar would see their group, either The New Nexus or The Corre, removed from the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match this Sunday night and the Special Referee for this blockbuster match would be none other than John Cena and, before the match begins, Cena makes his first official order for the match as Cena ejects both The New Nexus and The Corre from ringside! With the match officially started, John Cena would shove CM Punk off of his feet and would deliver a vicious slap to Wade Barrett, knowing full well that if CM Punk or Wade Barrett attack him, the referee for the match, then he is within his rights to disqualify either or both of them and, after going out to ringside to sign autographs during a pinfall, both Punk and Barrett would knock each other down and, soon after this, Cena would call for the bell to end the match before informing the ring announcer that he is ruling the match a double disqualification for “use of excessive profanity”, declaring that neither The Corre or The New Nexus will be participating in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match! Proud of his ingenious ruling in the match, John Cena would start to walk away from the ring, but the anonymous General Manager of RAW would chime in with an email and would call Cena’s actions a “blatant abuse of power” before announcing that, while he can not change the referee’s decision for the match, he can change the conclusions, as the GM announces that both The Corre and The New Nexus, including CM Punk and Wade Barrett, will be a part of the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match after all and, if John Cena does not re-enter the ring and apologize to Wade Barrett and CM Punk over the match’s ruling, then Cena will be removed from the Royal Rumble Match! Cena would then apologize to both men, but would then deliver a right hand to both Punk and Barrett, but would be forced to exit the ring once The Corre and The New Nexus came to the aid of their respective members! With The Corre and The New Nexus facing off in the ring and John Cena on the outside of the ring, New Nexus members Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty and Corre member Heath Slater would go after Cena on the outside of the ring, but “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show would rush out and would be followed by the WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov, United States Champion Daniel Bryan, R-Truth, Yoshi Tatsu, Mark Henry, & John Morrison would all enter the ring as all hell would break loose as the participants in the Royal Rumble Match would all brawl in the center of the ring! What will happen this Sunday night when there are 40 men in the Royal Rumble Match for the first time ever? What kind of chaos can be expected when all 40 participants are looking to punch their ticket to WrestleMania XXVII by winning the Royal Rumble Match?

The 93rd edition of WWE Superstars came to you from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI and from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, OH. Three nights before the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match, two Rumble Match participants would square off as R-Truth would go one-on-one with “The Crowned Prince” Tyson Kidd!

    WWE Superstars (January 27, 2011)

Good Week For: R-Truth (defeated Tyson Kidd in the main event)

Bad Week For: Trent Barreta (lost to the powerhouse Tyler Reks)

    Detailed Results Follow…

The show kicks off with action from SmackDown as “The Dude Buster” Trent Barreta would go one-on-one with “The X Factor” Tyler Reks! In the end, it was the powerhouse Tyler Reks hitting the Burning Hammer on Trent Barreta en route to picking up the win!

Before competing in tag team action on WWE Superstars, the newly formed team of Primo & Zack Ryder would introduce themselves before Ryder calls them the two “most overlooked Superstars in WWE history” before giving the fans the chance to “properly welcome” them! Primo then proclaims that they don’t “appreciate” the fans and that they are the “greatest tag team that should be on Monday Night RAW” before Ryder proclaims that, after the match, they are going to get some girls that are “D.Z.P”, which stands for “Down for Zack and Primo”!

After their confident statements, the newly formed team of Primo & “The Long Island Iced Z” Zack Ryder would face the team of Yoshi Tatsu & David Hart Smith in tag team action! In the end, it was Primo hitting the Back Stabber on Yoshi Tatsu en route to picking up the win for himself and Zack Ryder!

Then it was time for the main event as two of the participants in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match would square off as R-Truth would go one-on-one with “The Crowned Prince” Tyson Kidd! In the end, it was R-Truth hitting the What’s Up on Tyson Kidd en route to picking up the win! How will R-Truth fare in this Sunday’s 40-Man Royal Rumble Match?

Two nights before the Royal Rumble, the 597th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown came to you from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, OH. Just two nights before they defend their respective titles at the Royal Rumble, WWE Champion The Miz would team with the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Dolph Ziggler, to face the reunited team of World Heavyweight Champion Edge and the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, Randy Orton in a tag team battle of champions and challengers! Also, after a mysterious attack on last week’s SmackDown, the General Manager of SmackDown, Theodore Long, has been hospitalized due to apparent head trauma and SmackDown would see an update on the condition of Theodore Long, as well as the continuation of the reign as acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero!

Friday Night SmackDown (January 28, 2011)

Good Week For: Edge (would deliver a grand total of four Spears to Dolph Ziggler)

Bad Week For: Dolph Ziggler (was pinned by Edge in the main event and was the victim of four Spears)

    Detailed Results Follow…

One week after taking over as the acting General Manager of SmackDown and being responsible for The Corre’s attack on World Heavyweight Champion Edge, the show kicks off with the girlfriend of Dolph Ziggler and the acting General Manager of SmackDown, Vickie Guerrero, who informs everyone that Theodore Long will not be in the arena and that she is in charge! Vickie would then wish Theodore Long a “speedy recovery” before being interrupted by the arrival of the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, “The Viper” Randy Orton! Orton states that he is there to show his “appreciation” for being invited to SmackDown before stating that he does not know her very well, so Vickie will have to “excuse” him for what he is going to do to her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler, in the main event, just like The Miz will have to “excuse” him when he takes the WWE Title back at the Royal Rumble! Orton would then put his arm around the nervous acting GM and tell Vickie she has “nice hair” before saying that, for Vickie, there is “no excuse”! Vickie would pull herself away from Orton before Vickie’s boyfriend, the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Dolph Ziggler, would come out and tell Orton that no one can talk to the acting General Manager like that before asking if Orton has any “idea” who Vickie is and who he is! Orton then reminds Dolph that he beat him two weeks ago on RAW before Dolph states that he is the guy who will be the World Heavyweight Champion this Sunday, so Orton will show Dolph “respect”, as well as Vickie! Dolph would then proclaim that Orton will “never again disrespect” him, Vickie, or anyone who stands behind them and, after the main event and, after the Royal Rumble, Orton will have “no choice” but to show him “respect”! Orton would then tell Dolph that, in the WWE, you have to “earn” respect before Orton plants the brash Dolph Ziggler with the RKO! What will happen in the Champion And Challengers tag match in the main event when Randy Orton teams with World Heavyweight Champion Edge to face WWE Champion The Miz and Dolph Ziggler?

Two nights before they challenge Natalya for the Divas Title in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match at the Royal Rumble, Layla & Michelle McCool would be in action on SmackDown as LayCool would face the team of the winner of NXT Season Three, Kaitlyn, and Kelly Kelly, but before the match, Kaitlyn & Kelly Kelly would attack LayCool from behind and would attack the two Divas before throwing LayCool into the ring to start the match! In the end, it was Layla distracting Kaitlyn long enough for Michelle McCool to blast Kaitlyn with a big boot en route to picking up the win! With the 2-on-1 advantage this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, can LayCool regain the Divas Title from Natalya?

With Kelly Kelly seated at ringside, “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre would go one-on-one with “The Brooklyn Baller” JTG just two nights before the two Superstars are two of 40 participants in the Royal Rumble Match! At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Drew McIntyre countering a backslide into the Future Shock DDT on JTG en route to picking up the win! After the match, Kelly Kelly would enter the ring, but, seemingly unaware of Kelly Kelly’s presence, Drew McIntyre would exit the ring!

After having his nose shattered by the metal knee brace of Rey Mysterio during their match last week, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, appearing with his back to the camera, would reveal that he will require “reconstructive surgery” to fix his broken nose and deviated septum and that the doctors have informed him that he will be unable to compete in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match this Sunday night! Rhodes then emotionally asks if he is going to “keep fighting” before stating that, upon entering the arena, a young fan told him that he was not “dashing” anymore before stating that the fan was “right”! What effect will the injuries to his face have on Cody Rhodes?

After shaking hands with and introducing himself to Michael Tarver backstage, “The Mexican Elitist” Alberto Del Rio would make an appearance on SmackDown to present a Royal Rumble Exhibition Match just two nights before Alberto Del Rio takes part in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match! Before the Exhibition Match, Alberto Del Rio states that he is not going to “tell” everyone that winning the Royal Rumble Match is his “destiny”, he is going to “prove it”! Del Rio then reveals that he has found 39 “fighters” from all over the world where he will face one fighter and, every 30 seconds, another one will come out! The first “fighter” to face Alberto Del Rio would be a preliminary wrestler by the name of Seth Allen as Del Rio would easily eliminate Allen seconds before the second competitor, Mike Stevens, would come out, but as Del Rio eliminates Stevens, the match would come to a halt when the record holder for the most elimination in a Royal Rumble Match would come out as “The Big Red Monster” Kane would come out! As Kane would look to eliminate Alberto Del Rio, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston would come out and would eliminate both Kane and Del Rio! After their elimination, Kane and Alberto Del Rio would re-enter the ring ready to attack Kofi, but Rey Mysterio would rush out to even the odds before acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero comes out and announces a tag match between the four Royal Rumble Match participants!

Two nights before all four men compete in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match, “The Ultimate Underdog” Rey Mysterio would team with Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston to face the team of “The Big Red Monster” Kane and “The Mexican Elitist” Alberto Del Rio! During the match, Kane would get knocked off of the ring apron and, after Kane was not on the ring apron for the tag, Alberto Del Rio would put his hands on Kane and Kane would respond by delivering a vicious big boot to Del Rio, which would allow Rey Mysterio to hit the 619 on Del Rio, which would be followed up by Trouble In Paradise by Kofi Kingston en route to Kofi pinning Del Rio to pick up the win for his team! Could one of these four Superstars win the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match this Sunday night?

Two nights before being one of, and the largest, participant in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show would make an appearance on SmackDown as Big Show states that, as a giant and former World Champion, he is made a “target” just like he was by the debut of The Corre two weeks ago! Big Show then states that The Corre accomplished two things; first, they made him “angry” and, second, they reminded him of what it is like in the Royal Rumble Match! Big Show continues that he has never won the Royal Rumble Match, but as Show was set to vow victory in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match this Sunday, The Corre would interrupt as Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, & Ezekiel Jackson would surround the ring as Big Show would challenge any one of the four Corre members to face him one-on-one, but as Big Show challenges Ezekiel Jackson to come in the ring, Heath Slater would chop block Big Show, setting up an impromptu one-on-one match! In the end, Big Show would deliver the chokeslam to Heath Slater en route to picking up the win, but, after the match, the other three members of The Corre would enter the ring and Big Show would fight off Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel, but the powerhouse Ezekiel Jackson would level Big Show with a clothesline, allowing all four Corre members to stomp away at Big Show! As The Corre looked ready to deal out the same damage to Big Show that they dealt out two weeks ago, Big Show gets sufficient backup as United States Champion Daniel Bryan, R-Truth, Chris Masters, and WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov as the slew of Superstars, along with Big Show, would outnumber The Corre and would send all four group members packing! What will happen in this Sunday’s 40-Man Royal Rumble Match when it will be every Superstar for themselves with a title match at WrestleMania on the line?

Before competing in the Champions And Challengers Tag Match, WWE Champion The Miz, along with his “apprentice” Alex Riley, would make an appearance on SmackDown as The Miz proclaims that Randy Orton’s RKO to Dolph Ziggler earlier means “absolutely nothing” and that, the “only voice” that Randy Orton will hear after their match this Sunday at the Royal Rumble and it will be his voice proclaiming that he is “awesome” after he successfully retains the WWE Title!

Then it was time for the main event as World Heavyweight Champion Edge would reunite with his former tag team partner, the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, Randy Orton, to face WWE Champion The Miz and the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Dolph Ziggler, in a special Champions And Challengers Tag Match! At the end of a chaotic and hard-fought match, it was Edge hitting the Spear on Dolph Ziggler en route to picking up the win! Immediately after the match, acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero would make the major announcement that, this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, the Spear will be “banned” from the match and, if Edge uses the move this Sunday, he will be disqualified and lose the World Heavyweight Title! Edge would respond to this news by delivering the Spear to Dolph Ziggler off of the ring apron before delivering a second Spear to Dolph Ziggler on the arena floor! Edge would then look to spear acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero, but Vickie would move out of the way and Edge would blast Dolph with a third Spear! With the Spear now banned from the World Heavyweight Title match this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, can Edge find another way to retain the World Heavyweight Title or will Dolph Ziggler be crowned the new World Heavyweight Champion?

However, after doctors inserted a metal rod into Sid’s leg, Sid would eventually make a full recovery from the injury.
