The second annual WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs came to you, live on pay-per-view, from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. For weeks, Edge has tormented Kane by abducting Kane’s father, Paul Bearer, and ultimately setting up the manager’s unintentional demise at the hands of Kane all in pursuit of winning the World Heavyweight Title and Edge, along with two other Superstars, would get that opportunity as Kane would defend the World Heavyweight Title against “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge, “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio, and “The Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio in a Fatal 4-Way TLC Match! After cashing in his Money-in-the-Bank title opportunity to take the WWE Title on a then injured Randy Orton to usher in the “Era of Awesomeness”, Randy Orton would get his opportunity to regain the WWE Title from the overconfident champion as The Miz would defend the WWE Title against “The Viper” Randy Orton in a Tables Match! For months, John Cena had to suffer the indignity of being under the thumb of Nexus leader Wade Barrett and, after having no choice but to find himself fired from the WWE at Survivor Series, Cena made The Nexus’ life a living hell, eventually leading to Barrett rehiring John Cena and, at WWE TLC, John Cena would get to fulfill his promise to take out every member of The Nexus when Cena goes one-on-one with Nexus leader Wade Barrett in a Chairs Match! After their intense rivalry began a number of weeks ago, Sheamus has a new heir of confidence after becoming the 2010 King of the Ring, but, at WWE TLC, the 2010 King of the Ring Sheamus would go one-on-one with “The Guru of Greatness” John Morrison in a Ladder Match with the winner being named the new #1 Contender for the WWE Title! After Jack Swagger interfered in Kofi Kingston’s shot at the Intercontinental Title a couple of weeks ago out of “protest” over losing to Kofi Kingston the week prior, both Superstars would get their shot at the gold as Dolph Ziggler would defend the Intercontinental Title against Kofi Kingston and “The All-American American” Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat Ladder Match! After bullying Natalya & Beth Phoenix to no end, Layla & Michelle McCool may pay the price as LayCool would face Divas Champion Natalya & “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix in the first ever Divas Tag Team Tables Match!
WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs 2010 (December 19, 2010)
Good Night For: Edge (survived Kane, Rey Mysterio, and Alberto Del Rio in a Fatal 4-Way TLC Match to win the World Heavyweight Title)
Bad Night For: Wade Barrett (was brutalized and buried in steel chairs by John Cena)

The show kicks off in a big way as the Intercontinental Title would be up for grabs, literally, as Dolph Ziggler would defend the Intercontinental Title against Kofi Kingston and “The All-American American” Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat Ladder Match where the only way to win is to utilize a ladder to grab the Intercontinental Title belt that hangs high above the ring! During the match, and with all competitors down, Dolph Ziggler’s girlfriend, Vickie Guerrero, would attempt to climb the ladder to grab her boyfriend’s Intercontinental Title, but Kofi Kingston would start to tip the ladder over, but Dolph would plead with Kofi not to, but Jack Swagger would blast Kofi with the ladder, allowing Vickie to get to safety! At the end of one of the most controversial ends to a Ladder Match in WWE history, both Kofi Kingston and Jack Swagger would battle atop the ladder in the middle of the ring and both men would simultaneously unhook the Intercontinental Title, but the title belt would fall to the mat and Dolph Ziggler would scramble to retrieve the title belt, technically retaining the Intercontinental Title!
Then it was time for the first ever Divas Tag Team Tables Match as the two-time Slammy Award winners LayCool would face Divas Champion Natalya & “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix where the only way to win is for is to put one of your opponents through a table! During the match, Natalya would show her power as the Divas Champion would manage to simultaneously lock both Layla & Michelle McCool in the Sharpshooter! In the end, it was LayCool attempting to deliver a double superplex to Natalya through the custom table, but Natalya would counter and would shove LayCool onto the custom table, but when the table did not break, Natalya would dive off of the top rope to deliver a splash to send both members of LayCool through the table to win the match!
Backstage, World Heavyweight Champion Kane recalls not celebrating Christmas as a child and, while other kids were opening presents and building snowmen, he would sit alone in his house in the “dark” before stating that he feels the same way now as he is “alone in the darkness”! Kane then proclaims that, for the first time in his life, he is giving out “Christmas presents” as he is delivering Tables, Ladders, & Chairs and he is going to “play with his new toys” before destroying a Christmas tree and lights while screaming “Merry Christmas”! Can anyone stop an angry World Heavyweight Champion when Kane defends the gold against Edge, Rey Mysterio, and Alberto Del Rio in a Fatal 4-Way TLC Match?
On a night where their leader, Wade Barrett, would look to take out John Cena in a Chairs Match, Nexus members Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel would be looking to regain the WWE Tag Team Titles as Slater & Gabriel, with fellow Nexus members Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty in their corner, would challenge Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov for the WWE Tag Team Titles! In the end, Michael McGillicutty would enter the ring and deliver a chop block to Santino Marella, resulting in a disqualification win for Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov! After the match, Nexus leader Wade Barrett would come to the ring with a steel chair in hand as Barrett would proceed to waylay both of the WWE Tag Team Champions with vicious chair shots to the spine in a clear cut message to John Cena! Will Wade Barrett do the same thing to John Cena that Barrett did to Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov?
Then it was time to determine the new #1 Contender for the WWE Title as the 2010 King of the Ring Sheamus would go one-on-one with “The Guru of Greatness” John Morrison in a Ladder Match with the winner being named the new #1 Contender! During a brutal and punishing Ladder Match, both Superstars would fall to the outside of the ring, but while John Morrison fell to the arena floor, Sheamus fell all the way through a ladder set up on the outside of the ring! Shortly after this, John Morrison would deliver one final, albeit vicious, kick to Sheamus before, injured knee and all, John Morrison would scale the ladder and retrieve the contract hanging high above the ring to become the new #1 Contender for the WWE Title! John Morrison now has a date with destiny to challenge for the WWE Title, but when will Morrison get his shot at the gold?
After leading an assault on WWE Tag Team Champion Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov earlier in the night, Nexus leader Wade Barrett, with Nexus member Husky Harris in tow, are heading to the locker room of The Nexus, but when they arrive, Barrett & Harris find Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, & Michael McGillicutty strewn all over the locker room with a steel chair still under the head of McGillicutty and another chair wrapped around the shoulder of Slater! A distraught and unsettled Wade Barrett then orders Husky Harris to lock the doors to the locker room! Wade Barrett has all but lost his backup in the attack on The Nexus, but how does it affect the Chairs Match between John Cena and Wade Barrett?
Then it was time for the WWE Title to be defended as The Miz, with Alex Riley in his corner, would defend the WWE Title against “The Viper” Randy Orton in a Tables Match! During the match, and with the referee down and out, Randy Orton would attack the frequently interfering Alex Riley and put Riley through a table, but this would give The Miz time to recover and hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Randy Orton! Then, with the referee still down, The Miz would move Alex Riley out of the remains of the table before placing Randy Orton in the remains of the table and bringing the referee to and the referee would see Orton laid out among the destroyed table and would call for the bell for The Miz to retain the WWE Title! After seeing the replay of the end of the match, the referee would order the match to restart, but shortly after this, Alex Riley would knock Randy Orton off of the ring apron and through the table, earning The Miz the victory to retain the WWE Title! How will Randy Orton respond The Miz’s questionable retention of the WWE Title?
Then it was time for the World Heavyweight Title to be put on the line as Kane would defend the World Heavyweight Title against “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge, “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio, and “The Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio in a Fatal 4-Way TLC Match where the only way to win is to climb the ladder and retrieve the World Heavyweight Title! During the match, and with all four competitors down, Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, would enter the ring and would try retrieve the World Heavyweight Title for Del Rio, but Kane would re-enter the match and would deliver a chokeslam to Rodriguez, as well as a chokeslam to Del Rio and another to Edge through a table on the outside! A little later on in the match, Alberto Del Rio would scale the monstrous ladder set up in the ring, but with Del Rio just moments away from retrieving the World Heavyweight Title belt, Rey Mysterio would push the ladder over with Del Rio flying from the top of the ladder all the way to the outside and through a table! Shortly after this, Kane would be the one scaling the ladder, but Edge would come back into the ring and attack Kane with a steel chair and Edge would send Kane to the ring apron before delivering a Spear to Kane that would send Kane off of the apron and through a table on the outside before Edge would proceed to climb the ladder and retrieve the World Heavyweight Title belt to become a ten-time World Champion!
“Dashing” Cody Rhodes would then make an appearance on the show and would berate the Houston population about “Irritable Jowl Syndrome” before Rhodes is interrupted by “The World’s Largest Santa” Big Show, who, along with The Bella Twins, handing out t-shirts and DVD’s of the movie, “Knucklehead”! Rhodes responds by telling Big Show that Show has “no dignity” before Big Show tells Rhodes that Rhodes is “too uptight” and that Rhodes should try running around in his “underwear”and Rhodes responds by saying that it is “ridiculous” that Big Show is starring in movies and he is not before calling Big Show a “Vanilla Shrek”! Big Show then offers Rhodes a role in “Knucklehead 2” and puts his hands on the expensive suit of Rhodes, which enrages Rhodes! Big Show would then respond by delivering a large backdrop to Rhodes before ripping the expensive suit of Rhodes right off of Rhodes, leaving Rhodes in his underwear!
Backstage, Nexus leader Wade Barrett and Nexus member Husky Harris are heading towards the ring, but when they get ready to walk through a doorway, Husky is met with a chair shot to the face by John Cena!
Then it was time for the main event as the 2010 Superstar of the Year John Cena would look to finish taking out The Nexus as Cena would go one-on-one with Nexus leader Wade Barrett in a Chairs Match where chairs are legal to use in the match that can only end by pinfall or submission! At the end of a vicious Chairs Match, it was John Cena setting up six steel chairs, face-to-face, and delivering a hellacious Attitude Adjustment to Wade Barrett through all six chairs en route to picking up the win! After the match, John Cena would chase Wade Barrett up the ramp, continuing to waylay Barrett with chair shots along the way all the way to the floor next to the staging area! Cena would then grab a hold of a large palette and slam it on top of Wade Barrett, trapping the Nexus leader as Cena would proceed to jerk about a dozen steel chairs hanging up as part of the WWE TLC set all on top of Wade Barrett, burying Barrett in chairs just like Barrett tried to bury the career of John Cena! What is the status of Wade Barrett after all of the steel punishment brought on him by John Cena? Has John Cena truly destroyed The Nexus and its leader?

One night after fully utilizing his “apprentice” Alex Riley to retain the WWE Title against Randy Orton in a Tables Match, the show kicks off with the still WWE Champion The Miz! Despite his questionable retention, Miz proclaims the fans should get used to hearing “still WWE Champion The Miz” before stating that the fans were expecting the announcement of “new WWE Champion Randy Orton”, but that it did not happen! Miz then states that he put Orton through a table before he is interrupted by ghoulish music as Alex Riley, dressed as “Christmas Past”, comes out and presents footage of Miz’s first title retention against Jerry Lawler a few weeks ago! The Miz then states that he does “not regret” anything he has done in the “past” before Miz is interrupted by Michael Cole, who is dressed as “Christmas Present”, tells Miz that he should be “ashamed” of his actions at WWE TLC, which Miz responds to by saying that all that “matters” is that he is still the WWE Champion before saying that he has something for Randy Orton before lifting the WWE Title above his head before he is interrupted by the “Miz Girl”, who calls herself the ghost of “Christmas Future”, which Miz responds to by saying that he is the “future” and is the most “must-see WWE Champion in WWE history”! The Miz is then interrupted legitimately by the new #1 Contender for the WWE Title, John Morrison, as Morrison tells Miz that the whole setup he just did was really “stupid” before reminding Miz that he defeated Sheamus in a Ladder Match at WWE TLC to become the #1 Contender for the WWE Title before saying that he has defeated Miz in the “past”, he has defeated him in the “present”, and he knows that he can defeat him in the “future” to become the WWE Champion! Miz responds by saying that he has always been “better” than John Morrison before Alex Riley steps in and shoves Morrison, prompting Morrison to attack Alex Riley as Miz narrowly escapes! This would prompt Sheamus to come out and attack Morrison while, on the outside of the ring, Jerry Lawler gets a shot in on Alex Riley! All this action prompts the anonymous General Manager of RAW to chime in with an email that announces that the main event will see WWE Champion The Miz team up with his “apprentice” Alex Riley and Sheamus to take on the team of the new #1 Contender for the WWE Title John Morrison, Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, and Randy Orton! After this announcement was made, Orton would emerge from the back and blast The Miz with a clothesline! What will happen in a, sure to be, chaotic 6-Man Tag when The Miz, Alex Riley, & Sheamus take on John Morrison, Jerry Lawler, & Randy Orton?

In the end, it was Melina rolling up Alicia Fox to pick up the win and become the new #1 Contender for the Divas Title! After the match, Divas Champion Natalya would enter the ring to congratulate Melina on her win and Melina would deliver a vicious slap to the face of the Divas Champion before leaving the ring with a scowl on her face! What has prompted Melina to slap Natalya across the face? How will Natalya respond?
The United States Champion was in action on RAW as United States Champion Daniel Bryan, with The Bella Twins in his corner, would go one-on-one with one of the Superstars who trained him earlier in his career in William Regal! In the end, it was Daniel Bryan forcing his former mentor, William Regal, to tap out as Bryan forces Regal to tap out to the LeBell Lock! After the match, both Bellas would enter the ring and deliver passionate and competitive kisses to a stunned Daniel Bryan!
After getting an overdone back massage by Tamina and Maryse, with Maryse standing on Santino’s back to argue with Tamina, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Santino Marella, would team with Tamina to face “The Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase and Maryse in a Mixed Tag Match! In the end, it was Tamina doing her father proud by delivering the Superfly Splash to Maryse en route to picking up the win for herself and Santino Marella!
One night after delivering on his promise to “destroy” Nexus leader Wade Barrett, the 2010 Superstar of the Year John Cena would appear on RAW! Cena proclaims that the night is “monumental” because, for the first time in six months, RAW is “Nexus-free”, causing Cena to do a little dance and sing a little before showing the footage from WWE TLC where he dumped a ton of steel chairs on top of Wade Barrett from three different angles and in slow motion! Cena then proclaims that he got to “each and every member of The Nexus” and he did just that and now he can focus on “more important things” like winning the 2011 Royal Rumble before Cena is interrupted by the arrival by Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and his girlfriend, SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero as Vickie tells Cena that he is not the “only one” who won at WWE TLC and, after the crowd’s negative reaction directed at Vickie dies down, Vickie tells Cena that Dolph Ziggler is still the Intercontinental Champion before showing footage of Jerry Lawler’s belittling of Vickie Guerrero last week before Vickie demands an “apology” from Jerry Lawler, which Lawler responds to by trading “you’re so fat” jokes with John Cena and Cena takes up the jokes some more before Vickie slaps Cena across the face! This prompts the anonymous General Manager of RAW to chime in with an email that announces that Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler will go one-on-one with John Cena!
After he and Jerry Lawler insulted Vickie Guerrero, John Cena would go one-on-one with Vickie’s boyfriend, Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, in a non-title match! At the end of a chaotic match that saw Vickie Guerrero interfere on two different occasions, John Cena would duck an attempted shot with the Intercontinental Title belt to hit the Attitude Adjustment on Dolph Ziggler en route to picking up the win! After the match, a shocking turn of events would take place as RAW commentator CM Punk would get out of his seat and enter the ring and deliver a pair of chair shots to John Cena! What is CM Punk’s explanation for attacking John Cena?
Moments after attacking John Cena, interviewer Josh Mathews catches up with CM Punk in the parking lot and asks Punk about his actions against Cena and Punk states that all that Cena understands is “aggression” and that Cena “brutalized” Wade Barrett at WWE TLC, so he was just giving Cena a “taste of his own medicine”! How will John Cena respond to CM Punk’s actions and his explanation?
Backstage, a displeased Vickie Guerrero is with her boyfriend, Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, moments after Dolph’s loss to John Cena and Dolph demands a rematch with John Cena on tomorrow night’s special Tuesday edition of SmackDown and Vickie makes the match official, but not before making it a 2-on-1 Handicap Match where Cena would face her and Dolph Ziggler! What will happen on the special Tuesday night edition of SmackDown when John Cena must face both Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match?
Then it was time for the main event as WWE Champion The Miz would team with his “apprentice” Alex Riley and the 2010 King of the Ring Sheamus to take on the team of “The Viper” Randy Orton, Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, and the new #1 Contender for the WWE Title John Morrison in a 6-Man Tag Match! At the end of a chaotic match, it was The Miz setting up for the Skull Crushing Finale on Jerry Lawler when, with the referee distracted by Alex Riley, Randy Orton would come in and plant Miz with the RKO, allowing Jerry Lawler to pin the WWE Champion for the win! After the match, the anonymous General Manager of RAW then chimes in with an email that announces that, on tomorrow night’s SmackDown, WWE Champion The Miz will go one-on-one with Randy Orton! Following this announcement, The Miz would blast Jerry Lawler from behind before delivering a cheap shot to Randy Orton and high-tailing it out of the ring! What will happen tomorrow night when Randy Orton gets his hands on The Miz on SmackDown?

In the end, it was Randy Orton knocking Alex Riley off of the ring apron and hitting the RKO on The Miz, but when Orton went for the cover on Miz, Alex Riley would interfere, ending the match via a disqualification win for Randy Orton! After the match, Randy Orton would send Alex Riley to the outside before readying the career-ending punt to The Miz, but Alex Riley would re-enter the ring and would catch the RKO for his efforts, but this would allow Miz to narrowly escape the punt! Edge was then interrupted by the former World Heavyweight Champion, Kane, who tells Edge that Edge’s “story is finished” because he will “write the ending” to Edge’s story and it will “not have a happy ending” as it will end with Edge’s “body broken” and the World Heavyweight Title back in his possession! Edge then interrupts and tells Edge that nothing is more “painful” than listening to Kane’s “psychotic ramblings” before challenging Kane to face him for the World Heavyweight Championship right there, live, on SmackDown! Kane would then look to accept the challenge by walking towards the ring, but would back up and tell Edge that they have been playing by Edge’s “rules” and he will get the World Heavyweight Title back on his “terms” and when he is “ready”! When will Kane be “ready” to get his rematch for the World Heavyweight Title?
